Yeah, I'm wondering if they got wayyyyyy less than usual since I think this is the first time they were only out for a few days vs a longer period for a festival. Lines were crazy for them at AK on Saturday, several hundred people until we were hopping to Epcot and it was 50ish so we jumped in line. Without Dorian they would have been gone even faster.

It's very silly but I am super bummed about the coaster set :(

?? is it out of stock already? Aren't you coming back in a couple of weeks?

I don’t either 😬

I don't follow any of these guys but I had heard of him. He did a nice tour of AK Lodge and I just took the opportunity to watch it.

@Haley R - not sure if you know but AKL does a 4pm (check time) food tour in Boma/Jiko - they give some free samples. Boma is sometimes soup and zebra domes, Jiko is usually the bread service. It's a great time to take pictures if you do that. I've gone a few times since they opened.

I can't wait for the end of the month. I have no current MSR & feel lost in the woods :guilty:

I really liked the resort tour videos. He seems like a fun person. I can never decide whether or not I actually like his channel in general. It's strange because he spends so much time in the parks & yet always has this aura of confusion, as though he never really knows what's going on. I find it frustrating. I don't know how to explain it. I don't watch his personal videos so that could also just be how he is in life. Still, if you're looking for a recent vlog & you're at all familiar with the parks, you can watch his channel and get what you need to on your own. I also enjoyed his Aulani & ABD Disneyland videos. Those were really fun to watch. I think it's just the WDW ones that make me think, "you should know that!!!"

They actually mentioned that to us yesterday. We’ll see if we get back in time for it. We’re going to the contemporary right now to go in their arcade. We like pinball lol. We just found out the pinball machine at contemporary is 25 credits and the same one at AKL is 100! That’s a big difference.

I love the Tim tracker. He is in my top 5 YouTube channels. The other four: Dope or Nope (this is like fart humor and they are immature but I crack up at their reviews of products) Mark Rober (he’s a cutie and does all kinds of cool engineering/science experiments/projects) The bucket list family (they are life goals I want to take my kids all over the world like they do) and Not another cooking show (Italian New Yorker who makes a bunch of delicious food SO and I have been copying his stuff and it’s so good and easy)

We like his channel and Mikey Chen

I'm gonna take a moment to appreciate @calypso726 and her Plane Princess's ability to splurge for Concierge Level on the 3 night Disney cruise that got doubled in length. It's gonna be hard for any of us to beat half price DCL!
[/QUOTE]

Thanks! Our 3 day Bahamas cruise has turned into a 6 night Western Caribbean cruise in concierge! Someone on the ship has a B2B booked so they are getting refunded the 2nd cruise but are still on board of course LOL

You don’t know tim tracker?

I only know if him from the people that get uber excited to see him. They aren't something I want to watch. You also have to remember that the dis produces a ton of content between articles, vlogs and podcasts so a lot here don't stray much from that or they only do the boards. Not sure the trackers are the style a lot of dis fans are going to watch. I tried some other podcasts and stuff but eventually dropped them because I want more than disney is always great and does no wrong which is what a lot of them do.

We watch him every night when we eat dinner. He’s just very calm and I like his take on the parks and stuff to do in Orlando.
Does he do a new video everyday? In general, I just don’t have a ton of time for watching vlogs. It would take me days to get through one so I kind of just don’t bother but now I’m curious about Tim so I’ll have to look him up 😊

I have no clue what is going on with "my" current Bonvoy stay.

I booked a king room at Element for 2 nights, one FN and one on pts. Called and added my daughter to the reservation. She and her new wife are staying there, not so much me.

Element called me last night to make sure we were arriving as it was about 10:30. I told them we'd be there soon, the girls were a few minutes out.

This morning I got a cancellation notice from Element. Texted DD and she said there was an issue with the CC on file so she gave them hers.

This evening I got a reservation email for Aloft. It looks like they did not apply my FN, but have applied points for both nights. I'm fine either way as long as it's covered.

Then I got an email from Marriott about an eBonus. It looks like Aloft has given me 10K points.

It looks like they were moved from Element to Aloft right next door, I actually think they're the same building, which is fine I can't remember why I chose one over the other initially anyway. While my FN wasn't used, I came out ahead with some bonus points? I guess we find out tomorrow when they check out and everything is settled.

DD just got home and handed me a note from the Director of the Front Office. It's an apology for switching hotels and that's why I got the bonus 10K. She said they comped the parking ($40+ and I'm assuming both nights) and gave them a bottle of cabernet. I said that's probably because she was in her wedding dress and DIL was in her dress blues lol

So, Element/Aloft in downtown Austin now has me happy with Marriott where I was ready to ditch the entire chain lol

I just watched Tim Tracker's AKL tour and then I noticed a Dis tour in the news and updates here on the Dis. So I watched it. The Dis one - DVC Fan, was set to music and was nice and hit some highlights. It was short feeling.

The Tim Tracker was narrated all the way through and was much more intimate, although I feel both efforts missed a LOT of what Animal Kingdom Lodge has to offer. I guess they probably try to keep these things brief to maintain a certain interest level.

Although I didn't buy there - in the early DVC years it was pretty easy to get at 7 months and still is for that matter. I've even stayed 3 nights in a row concierge level in the DVC studios (and I really enjoy this and watch for them all the time.) Prior to them being DVC on several occasions I was able to book a room at a discounted price and upgrade on check in to CL (for $60 a night). Haven't had that opportunity in a while. Stayed in rooms on 5th floor overlooking the Arusha Savannah and very close to the lobby area. That alone was worth the $60 so no long walk to get to the room. This is one hotel where I want a close to lobby room. I don't mind going for a stroll to see the animals but I don't want to HAVE to walk that distance each time I leave the room. I've also enjoyed Kidani twice but will always take Jambo first. And, I love the coconut curry soup in Mara!

Usually yeah he’ll have one every day. Sometimes they are home vlogs and sometimes just things around Orlando which I like. I like seeing more to do than just the parks. We went to st Augustine because of his video. We actually watched his videos when we first thought to go to japan. We just make it a nightly routine to watch during dinner
