Been mulling some stuff over and I have a few more questions.

  • When discussing "CIP#1" "CIP#2" etc- is that CIPs open at the same time? The max reported seems to be 4, right? So what about closing CIP#1 and then applying for another one again? Are there any specific data points on that?
  • Has anyone experienced NOT being approved for a CIP but then applying for a different (personal) Chase card and been approved?
  • If for some reason a person wanted to stick with Chase but would not get approved for the CIP, what personal card would you most recommend applying for?

Chase has a 1/30 business card rule so I’m pretty sure if you apply for a CIP and not approved you would have to wait 31 days to apply for a new Chase business card

For a personal card either the CSR or CSP

The AF also posted on my CSP and CSR. I also have the AF to pay on 2 new CIPs. What an expensive day with Chase. $784 in AFs. At least $95 will get refunded 🙄 AND to make it worse, the $300 travel credit on my CSR hasn't reset yet. I have to wait for the statement to close LOL
Same for me. CSP and CSR annual fees hit and the statement for the CSR doesn’t close until the 21st. We have 30 days to cancel/product change and get it refunded, right?
I was thinking I’d use the travel credit for Disneyland tickets through undercover tourist. We plan on visiting 9/27-9/28. Since DL doesn’t have advanced FP, would there be any issue with buying the tickets so close to our trip?

Nope. I bought mine through LMT two days before we went.

Have fun! My sis and her family were there today so have been seeing pics all day. Jealous. I was wishing that we went with them. Instead we are in Charlottesville. DS wanted to tour UVA. So we made a last minute mini trip. Monticello today and UVA tomorrow. Staying on HYATT points.
Nice--I went to UVA and love Monticello. DD is a junior and is hoping to go to UVA Engineering. I like the idea of her being so close to home:)

Non- churning observation:

The people on this thread use a lot more of the "fun" reactions (other than just "like") than any other thread I frequent.

I think it's more fun this way :)

I leave more reactions here than anywhere else on the web. I feel like I know a lot of people here well enough that I’m invested personally in their well being. Which sounds crazy! For example, I’ve never met @Haley R before in my life but I felt so relieved to find out they’d be at AKL until the storm passed.

I'm guessing that's where the schedule a tour link in my email would take me as well? And it lets me pick which place to go? I've already got my totally not needed spiel figured out that I want more info but I'm going to start saving for reflections :) Which could be true eventually who knows. And if I do it at SSR I can take the boat to DS which would be nice. And I've heard decent things about the resort, is the QS good? I'll need somewhere to eat lunch so I could do epcot and then head to SSR around noon eat lunch and do a tour at like 1 or 130. My fp's aren't until the evening at MK so I don't know what all I'll do in the morning but I need to get one of my taps in for my AP stuff :)
Haven’t eaten at artist point but read good things but I prefer to snack around world showcase

Was this the thread where people were comparing burger places a while back? I feel like I should eat at whataburger at the airport just because I never have :rotfl:
You must try whataburger. Not sure the airport location would be my choice but it might be your only chance unless you get back to Texas.

Did someone mention Whataburger? :scared1:

Sure does. I found them to be the cheapest option when I was looking.
One more question on LMT. I found the code for a free membership, but it still wants credit card information. Does it auto renew if I don’t proactively cancel before the year is up?

Wow we drove all the way to AK for the Simba magnet and they don’t have anymore. They were supposed to have them until September 5...

OK I'm sorry but this amused me.........you're staying at AKL...and you drove 'all the way' to AK. You make it sound like you drove 100 miles. :tilt:

Pity they didn't have the magnet. Hope you're enjoying AKL. We sure did.

I talked to my husband at length about @Haley R and her husband, their cats and their dilemma about leaving. He was relieved when they went to AKL too, lol! Of course we own DVC there so he was like "Of course that was the right place." :rolleyes2

Which brings me to this - Haley, you should consider stockpiling Hilton points. They are easy to amass. Use them as your hurricane plan - lots of Hilton's around Disney. Then you could stay for free. I know your DH was worried about spending the money this time, etc.
