1st ship Disney Wish. @calypso726 first sailing Jan 2022. Still waiting for the 2nd. Talking about make a wish tied in with the Wish ship. They didn't announce the 2nd ship.

I think some of us were uhhh thinking of a different interpretation of “on something”....... 😮 😉

She was jumping on the bed what else would on something be, dirty mind or not you don't jump unless I've totally missed something.

Apparently they were just upset that it took 45 minutes to get to WDW news. I guess Disney should (in their mind) just rush thru everything in a matter of seconds despite the fact that people waited hours to get into this session.

They were awful waiting on it. I was excited to hear about the stuff at HKDL and am hoping the frozen stuff opens before we go. I want to know about Shanghai and Tokyo but they said nothing about them. WDW isn't the end all be all and they need to get over it. The Target thing was cool too though I doubt it'll be at any near me. I don't care about the marvel or star wars stuff but I don't complain my way through it, I just ignore it all :)

Oh and a Mary Poppins ride was announced for the UK pavilion but no word on what type of ride.

ETA didn't announce the 2nd ship.

I honestly didn’t think about drugs - just not something I would have on my mind so I was quite confused by the initial comment thinking it was alluding to something far dirtier with the previous mentions of a boyfriend and such from the other story, lol. Don’t mind me, haha - I just don’t really think about or encounter drugs in my life.

Neither do I. Would it have helped if I'd said she was from Santa Cruz? Probably not unless you are from/lived in CA.

I should probably just go to the shun corner on this one lol. My mental image of a dorm room consisted of bunk beds and... well yeah, I’m just shunned now. Hopefully it’s well stocked today. Haha.

Sitting here in Barcelona reading all the Disney and Epcot news — wow! Can’t wait for that new roller coaster and ship!

Anybody here following the D23 DIS thread. It’s just a sea of negativity. Just reaffirms why this thread is the best corner of the DIS :D

Sorry, but they basically had no new announcements. I was expecting big things. So much fluff and it was boring. Like Yayy a Target, announcement? That can be announced in a one page press release.

The big thing to me coming out of D23 as it relates to WDW is a massive Epcot overhaul. New entrance, new “neighborhoods”, future world goes away, new nighttime spectacular, new Moana (walkthrough?) attraction, new Mary Poppins ride, huge SSE overhaul, among other things. Epcot is unfortunately going to see A LOT of construction walls over the next few years but the end result seems like it will be totally worth it.

Lots of details on one page: (warning: lots of “marketing speak” here, lol)

No bunk beds. We had weird beds. There were two storage areas length wise along the side that had padded bolsters. Then the bed could be picked up and pushed under so it was more couch like instead of the width of a twin. They were old but the storage was much appreciated as was the shelf the storage thing made. Also made it so most people didn't lift their bed like often happens, just didn't seem like a safe idea to me even if we weren't in earthquake country.

I'll send cookies or something to the corner for you :)

The most questionable timing to me was the “Disney Genie”. You’re speaking to a room full of touring experts who know how to extract every ounce of value of out of the MDE setup. Did they expect a positive reaction to that?

This may help “level the playing field” for newbies and those not willing to do the research. It also might hurt travel agents who could be viewed as unnecessary. And I’m also worried they could somehow withhold ADRs or FP inventory for these “packages” making it harder for me to get exactly what I want.

I was not shocked that nobody really cheered that...

Haven't changed my mind in a few days so I think I will apply for CIP3 on 9/4.

08/18 - CHASE Sapphire Reserve
08/18 - CHASE Sapphire Preferred
01/19 - CHASE Ink Preferred
04/19 - CHASE Ink Preferred
06/19 - AMEX Platinum (applied/approved on 6/2/19)

That is 3 months from the Amex and I want to wait for the holiday to be over in the event of any delays. I need to charge $9,255 by 10/2/19 so I hope the card is approved and arrives in time without expediting it. I am already pretty lean with Chase at less than 20% of gross income including personal lines. CIP1 is at $5,000 and CIP2 is at $1,500. I only left CIP1 at $5,000 in the event I can’t get 3 biz cards and need to PC. Does anyone think the $5,000 could be an issue on CIP1?

I've seen here to keep CLs below 50% (some even said 25-40%) of income and not to exceed $70-80,000.
I just got CIP2 with a $9k CL (having a $5k CIP1, and $12k of personal CL). Didn't bother lowering.

... She was jumping on the bed what else would on something be, dirty mind or not you don't jump unless I've totally missed something...

I am NOT gonna go any deeper into this one :D

Yeah that also made no sense. Plus it’s a lot of DL fans and they really don’t have that kind of planning. I’m also worried this won’t be free. I bet they will have some upcharges to get more fastpasses or hard to get reservations.

A great point...if they start to pull inventory to reserve them for paid packages...ugh!

How do people here feel about this Star Wars hotel experience? My initial concern is not seeing actual daylight or breathing fresh air for the majority of a 48 hour period...haha.

I’m waiting to see the price lol. If it’s really $3300 a person I’ll do an ABD instead. Also, the stuff they were saying seemed like the exact stuff they said would happen at Galaxy’s edge so idk how it’s going to be

I went to D23 two years ago and vowed "never again." It was INSANE.
That being said, I'm sad I missed the Agents of SHIELD. That's my current obsession and I am currently re-watching seasons 1-5 on Netflix. I'll have to catch season 6 sometime... if I can still find it.

sad to see it go but the next season seems like really good. I really hope to see some of these characters in the MCU one day.
