You've gotta be close to me then. I'm in Northville. My students and other teachers have told me Toronto is the way to go for Europe. I'll be looking into that soon. I guess Windsor vs Toronto is probably like flying out of DTW vs say Lansing, or Flint, or Kzoo, etc. Sure you can do it, but it's $$$.

I'm really starting to see why you all like Southwest so much lol. My September flights just dropped AGAIN and I got another 3,400 miles back! I'll be super happy with them as long as they don't cancel the flight 24 hours out haha.

I upgraded last year. My Sw Plus AF posted June 1. I upgraded in July and received a refund of the $69 right away. The $149 was charged December 1. Like @amalone1013 suggested, I'd think yours would be prorated. The perks are card year, and start the date you upgrade to Priority. The upgrade will not affect your anniversary clock. Personally, I think its a good deal to upgrade.

Hey, maybe I will have until Dec too! Lol. Did you keep the card this year? I'm curious if the perks reset on your original anniversary/upgrade date around June vs December.

Approved on Sat for the WF World Propel. Showed in my WF login today!! I never received a you’re approved email so it didn’t feel official yet, now it does!

On the no email front- just discovered Comcast re-enabled spam filtering and did not keep copies in the spam folder of what it deleted. Suspect approval email got caught/deleted in that. Found out after a few emails went missing- I suspect this included my Unify Ram’s tickets

So I'm a bit PISSED today. The IHG vacation club package I "booked" was a scam! I'm pissed since I have totally stayed at 2 Starwoods vacation properties in the past and expected this to be the same. I called today to book the package for Myrtle Beach in 2 weeks. Well imagine my shock when they told me I'd be staying at a Staybridge Suites and not at their property on the ocean. And then even more so when she goes on to tell me that to stay AT the property it costs $$$ per night. The ONLY upcharge I was told about was to stay at Christmas or Spring Break. And I was NEVER told I would be staying at a hotel vs their properties. I never would have booked this thinking I'm staying at a hotel for 4 nights and have to sit through a presentation to make that stay free. In fact when he pitched it and I said no, he asked why, and I said because I travel for free using points. I figured I'd go to the presentation while the kids chillax at the pool for the few hours.

I had even googled them and read about others staying on property for free but having to attend to presentation. So I'm in the process of asking for a refund from them, but they have to review the call to see if I was mislead....insert eyeroll. So I called Chase to start a chargeback. And then I got to spend 45 minutes on the phone w/ Spirit to get back the $60 for the $9 club I joined yesterday when booking my flights. They refunded everything online but that.

Nothing like spending the morning cancelling a vaca rather than planning one! And I know my 14yo is going to be PISSED when I tell her. I could use Hilton points and still go down there but that wasn't the idea behind this trip. Grrrrr.

I did this same upgrade at the beginning of the year. My anniversary is this month from my original card, and my AF posted. I'm assuming that since the AF has posted my benefits have restarted and I'm going to buy another $75 giftcard to get that credit once I see my reward points post.

I'm guessing December for you too! I am keeping it, and I was told the perks reset the day I upgraded, so July 30. Haven't used the card for anything that qualifies yet to know for sure if that's true but I think so. I haven't seen the 2nd AF or the anniversary points yet.

So I'm pretty sure, with the points and CP, I'll be able to get my family of 5 to MCO from either Boston or Providence in April 2020.
But I'd love to be able to get my parents tickets on points too, so I was thinking of going for the new Performance Biz card.
It would be my 4th Chase Business card since May 2018.
Any thoughts?

@DisneyMandC -I think I forgot to tell you I was thinking about you last week-DD was selected for jury duty. We gave her a hard time about being the Youngest Juror and she was so excited and anxious to do a good job. She's a little/lot bit of a bleeding heart so she was distressed it was a criminal trial and someone young could be sentenced "It will ruin his life." Dear, dear sweet child.

Disappointingly (to her) after sitting for a while and eating snacks (I'm sure there was a little more to it), the accused took a plea so she was home early. I remember your saying how important for the process it is to serve if called and I stressed that to her. That said, hopefully she won't get called anytime in the next four years since she's off to university in 2 weeks.

My kids have gotten a lot summons for jury duty here when they have been away at school. The first time, I had my son call to find out what he needed to do to be excused; it turns out that the answer here is to return the summons with a note on it that the person is unavailable because of attending college out of state. Now I just open them, write the note, and send them back.

It's time to figure out this uniform stuff. So DS's polos are school specific and so far he has 6 of them. Is that sufficient? Or should I order 4 more so he has enough for 2 weeks in case I ever get really lazy with laundry. He has to wear the polos every day except for the dress-up days that will required him to be in his oxford, tie and jacket. Any recommendations? The spend would towards DH's HH Biz MSR.

Does anyone have any experience booking flights with Korean Air? I was looking at some options for flying to Hawaii next year and award hacker shows that you can get round trip flights to Hawaii for 25k from my airport with only one stop. Have to go through Delta to book it. It doesn't matter when or which airport I search for on Delta though as it never shows that option. I've tried RIC, DCA, IAD, and ATL. None of them show anything less than 37.5k miles one way.

I researched this for our HI flights but my understanding is that the 25k rt is on delta booked via Korean. Korean (domestic) booked on delta is 37.5k ow. We ended up going AA via BA out of west coast, 26k pp rt economy (LAX-LIH). There is a transfer bonus now from Amex to BA (40%-50%) so that might be a good option. No UR or MR transfer to Korean just Marriott.

My oldest DD wears a uniform to school and I think you're fine with the 4 polos. If your DS is anything like her, he'll wear each one multiple times before it "needs" to be washed. I used to try and get on her about it and now I'm just like maybe being the stinky kid is what you deserve, why should I shell out more money when you don't care? Do they do a used uniform sale? I got most of her stuff that way. We're 3 years in and this year I just bought 2 skirts and the rest carry over.
