Awesome! I have a CSR so we are saving about $1200 on our cruise.Haha, no problem. Tonight this board save us $200! @Alexle2007 's original tip will get me to the Chase URs travel agent. So the second half of the trip will be, say, $1000 which could be from cashing out 100k URs, but CIP has the 1.25x bonus so it would only cost 80k URs (a savings of 20k points or $200)
Very nice! We just got back from Va Beach and DS and DH are taking a boys trip to OC later this week while I go to Orlando with a friend. I think they are mainly going for the arcadesAnd lastly. I got up early and went to watch the sun rise but the surfer guys were out there before me at 5:30am.

I totally would’ve waited but we decided to use them nowUgh. I'm thinking of trying to use ours in Jan or Feb to avoid that. I'll have to read up before we go
I went with my kids in April (spring break) and we had an awesome time and did a ton of rides. I love both Busch gardens and do think they are theme parks not amusement parks. And we both the all day meal plan and the food we ate was very good. Someone needs to be a BG Tampa defender!I transferred ILs URs to DHs card. same name and address. No issues ever.
I was looking at this a bit last night. But seems denver only has places downtown for now. Maybe this means we need to use a Marriott cert for a night away downtown and do uber pickup for dinner
Ugh. This is what I'm worried about when we use our tickets for BG... aaaaaand DH is spoiled and will want quick que now![]()
I have a car (Subaru Outback) which is known to eat oil. If I am a bit late with my 6 month oil change, the oil light comes on.
do they send a card or paper tickets to use for the Ascend card?Logged into DH's HiltonBiz to order Priority Pass for our upcoming trip and it says the benefit is currently unavailable. Anyone know why?
my DS spent $98 on ONE afternoon at the local six flags garbage park with his friends.... he was horrified when he got home and totaled it all up.....You were in my neck of the woods today. As close as we live to six flags, we tried to go as little as possible. We did have season passes when the kids were young. Used them in May and June and then not again until the fall.
I need a refresh..... this thread speeds by so fast- your 19 yo dd got a CIP? I thoght maybe the CIP was too 'upper tier' for a young person to get? this is giving me ideas....@Lain is correct (as usual) and we do transfer the URs from dd19’s card to us. She never even uses the CIPs so we meet 100% of the spend and we use the points for cash back for Disney. She and we are very good with that agreement
We also are same address and same last name so chase has no problem with this!
From you CIP experts..... I referred my bro for a CIP around 7/7.... I know he called in once, got the 30 day answer. He just told me yesterday he still 'hasn't heard anything'..... this seems like a long time..... anyone else have to wait this long? funny thing is he actually has a couple of real businesses that he runs, but he wanted to app using personal info for his own reasons....it would be ironic if he doesn't get the card! I tactfully mentioned calling the line again, what else can we do?
In my slow churning world I was able to get a $50 VGC for FREE (didn't even have to pay the purchase fee) from Speedway for earning enough points through them just for basically purchasing gas.
And my JB personal card just closed for this statement and I see my points pending. Going to be looking at flights for Cali and Vegas.
I also picked up a couple $200 MCGC from Staples with my CIC and DD got her new iPad for college.
And finally I used the last of my HH points with a stay at a Tru by Hilton for a family reunion. This was in Albany NY. Was nice having a cool modern hotel to go back to and get away from some fam
Will try to post pics in the Hotel thread.
Bonvoy points are one of the few currencies I would actually consider not burning, only because they are so much harder to get than other currencies and I don’t believe it will be devalued further for a while. Then again... Marriott seems to have no limit when it comes to screwing their members, so maybe just burn them as quick as you can.
She’s actually on CIP#2 lol! Got her first CIP earlier this year when she was 18yo. At that point, she’d been an AUer for several years on my chase card, opened her own discover IT and her own CFU.I need a refresh..... this thread speeds by so fast- your 19 yo dd got a CIP? oh my I'm gonna talk to DS and reap the benefits of him still living here as a YA!!! I hadn't considered it, but in reality he's not interested in 'the game' but it won't hurt his credit to help me out!!!She’s actually on CIP#2 lol! In churning related news, staying at a Holiday Inn this weekend using a pointsbreak rate. 10,000 IHG points I got as a gift from the Intercontinental Montreal for being a Platinum member via the card. My accelerate offer includes 30,000 points for staying at two IHG brands so this stay and our Intercontinental stay next month should satisfy the requirement.
In three weeks, I finally get to check out the two hotels I booked almost a year ago. The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and the Intercontinental Montreal using points from the IHG card I picked up in 2017. I picked up some Fairmont gift cards on Black Friday when they had a bonus to pay for the Fairmont.
Free nights posted on my Hyatt card and my IHG cards this month. Used both for Hotel stays in Anaheim and San Diego.

Wait, what? @wendow bought into DVC? When did this happen?!
When DW and I got married in the spring of 2012, we did a mini-moon at Aulani. It had just opened the summer before so it was brand new, and we did a DVC tour. Oh man, I remember having that same conversation with DW that we didn't want to be locked into Disney vacations, who knows where we'll want to travel in the next few years, and what about kids. Seven years later, we're still going to the Disney parks and staying at Aulani over the holidays going on 4 years. I'm sure the points would've been a heck of a lot cheaper 7 years ago, even direct.
The Flash Pass at Six Flags varies by date and level, today it ranges from $55 for gold to $155 pp. Gold level for the season is $300, Platinum is $500.Sounds a lot like our day. We could’ve bought the quick que....for an additional $89 pp lol. Yeah that’s more than we paid to get in. The food we had for lunch wasn’t good at all
@speedyfishy is right!! We took the dvc plunge as well. And I couldn’t be happier and more relieved. I’ve been asking dh since 2011 for dvc only to be met with arguments about the cost, not having the money and being locked into Disney vacations. Welp, we could have paid for our contract many years ago and I don’t see an end to Disney vacations on the horizon.
We’ve had season passes for a few years but didn’t use much last year so we were going to skip it. However DS got the free ticket from school for reading. So I look to get tickets for us $48 x 2 adults + $30 parking =126. Two season passes 54x2= 108, so I bought SP. DSs tix was $30 to upgrade to SP. We usually go earlier but haven’t had a chance and soccer season starts soon so weekends will be busy. You were in my neck of the woods today. As close as we live to six flags, we tried to go as little as possible. We did have season passes when the kids were young. Used them in May and June and then not again until the fall.
Yeah we went cheap yesterday. Packed lunch and only bought popcorn. It’s so crappy that the only thing they let you bring in is a bottle of water.do they send a card or paper tickets to use for the Ascend card?
