So you apply and put in the cc info, then they call you to verify info?

Yep. They call within an hour or two of the application, ask a couple of questions and you are good. The first call they had to give me some log in info to set up online banking, so ask them about that.

i think amex hides our actual numbers in the longest part of the numbers... the ending 4 digit is probably some kind of grouping as the majority of us ends in a 100X.
if u look at Visa and Mastercard, first 4 will determine visa or Mastercard, the next 4 will determines something(i think what bank) and then the last 8 is probably our actual member # assigned to us.

at least thats how i recognize it.

When I was younger I had a job where I had to manually key in CC and debit card numbers. I got to where I could tell where people banked based on their card numbers, the second set of 4 digits was a dead give away. I use to amaze people by telling them the first 8 digits of their debit card when they told me where they banked. Umm, no just a side effect of a monotonous job.

After 3 long days, dhs cip #2 got approved. With a 12k credit limit. And I just realizes his cic has a 9 k limit.
He does have a legit “business” with 12k a year of consulting income, but I’m gonna need to lower those before cip 3.

I finished my plat spend today on paying off my disney trip. Gonna do dhs cip spend and then I’ll get cip 3. Hoping this stays around.

Also, dh agreed to a food and wine/ swge trip over the long weekend my son has from school for Rosh Hashanah. Booked pop wit’s the fall discount, but considering switching to the dolphin on aa miles. Also flights are insane as were only 2 months out, but I’ll figure out something. It sucks you can’t book frontier with the ur portal.

FINALLY got the Citi AA Card in the mail so I can start with Plastique for my mortgage. Do I want to tell Plastique to "send a paper check" when I am setting this up? I don't want to mess it all up.

Just got an email from Chase offering to upgrade my Disney card to premier for $100 statement credit after I make my first purchase, AF not waived. Sweet!! Easy $51. First time I've gotten an offer for more than a $50 statement credit for upgrading.

A few of us have done this. So far, no AFs posted.

No approval or denial yet on my Aviator AA business. If I get denied I'll call. I have nothing to lose I didn't lie on the application. I put 0 years and 0 income. The good thing is they only pulled from TU which I only had one inquiry on. No real damage if I don't get approved.

According to Credit Karma I have a very high chance of getting pretty much any Amex business card I apply for. I think the only one that would benefit me in any way would be the Marriott Bonvoy. I'll have to put that off until at least September the MSR is too much for me right now. Since I have 4 amex cards I'm hoping they don't do a hard pull or is it different for business cards?

In February I'll be at 4/24 that's when the real fun begins.

Yes I do. Because I can go out to thaw out and then go back inside to a/c The weather was was the one reason I didn't want to move back home. Our spring isn't warm enough and our summer isn't long enough. I liked my NC warm weather from April through Oct. Mid 60's and wet today, not even real rain but the annoying hard mist that's almost a drizzle so everything gets wet at once. I want flip flops not socks. I generally won't complain when it's hot because I can always cool off, we have a/c, but I do when it's cold because sometimes it's just harder to get warm.

Getting ready to buy GC's from Newegg and use the Amex offer. Is there any concern about it not working the same today since it disappeared last night for a bit? Has anyone used it today and received the Amex email after?

I used the offer yesterday on the Lowe's GC deal. Bought it in the am, got the Amex confirm almost immediately, offer disappears from the Offer list during the afternoon, returned at some point this am, and I got the offer credit of $27 posted to my account this am BEFORE the actual $90 charge was posted. The credit posted and the charge is still pending

I’ve had to seriously curb my Disney souvenir cups, Disney and tiki mugs, and Starbucks You Are Here mugs addiction. I now have way too many that are not being used and I’m out of space!

I try hard to not collect more mugs. DD brought us back a Starbucks espresso/ornament mug from Prague and it's great because it's so tiny.

I snagged it this morning too! Yes, I do order from them. They frequently have the best price on some of the low sugar foods we buy, like Lily’s chocolate chips

I had no idea they sold more than vitamins. Now I have to go check and see if I have this one. Any recommendations of things to look for other than the chocolate chips?

We buy an absurd amount of vitamins and supplements. My dd19 is on a lot for her health and my dh also takes a lot of herbals so we buy lots of those items. Besides those, I buy coconut oil, ACV, my fav chocolate chips ever, primal kitchen mayo (love the spicy chipotle one), flax seeds, coconut flakes - If you don't buy a lot of supplements, it might be hard to spend $100.

The Lily's brand is my fav. They are stevia sweetened but they do not taste like stevia at all!
