Does anyone know- I technically HAVE a Hilton Honors account that I've never used for anything. Assuming that I book any future Hilton hotel stays (looking at you, Hilton Tokyo Bay) strictly on points, is there any benefit to being an Honors member? (I had gotten it before our trip last year but because my parents made all the reservations I ended up never using it).
I remember being able to use Hilton honors check in line at anaheim and it saved us like 20 mins waiting in the general check-in line.

How long did you wait to apply for #2? Should I wait a day or 2? Or can I just go for it today? I hate that I feel like I'm "wasting" my money right now because I'm not going for a spend, LOL

I believe you can apply right away, but someone correct me here if I'm wrong. You might give it a couple days for safety purposes. I was restricted by the 95 day timeline between the first and second for DH's, and I still haven't closed that card. I got my second Citi Biz last month after getting my first last July. I closed it in January.

I agree about the shift - I've heard some say they are thinking of making teams do away with it. Make the 3rd baseman play at 3rd, etc. On a funny note, I'm a Cardinals fan and Matt Carpenter got a double out of a bunt because they were using the shift on him. Pretty fun to watch if you're a baseball fan!

Love it! Totally deserved.

SO's year anniversary for the CSR is coming up in July. Do you guys think I can call my dreams unlimited travel agent and pay another $300 to my adventures by Disney and get reimbursed for that? Does anyone know if Dreams codes as travel or are they just paying Disney for me? can I call and make multiple payments before my trip?

They pay disney. Just do the online payment form for 300. It's easy.

From what I remember the charge will come through as DCL ABD, which should code as travel. (doesn't it? can't imagine what else they'd be) You should be able to make multiple payments.

Would the Villains after hour tickets work?

Wouldn't that code as entertainment or something like regular Disney tickets do? Or are they getting special coding for some reason?

How long days it take to get the referral points? I referred my DH yesterday and his card was approved sometime between 10PM-8AM last night. Does that mean that I should look for the referral points next Tuesday? I know they usually post then it just seems like I couldn't expect them that fast.
Ok I did my referral from p2's CIP June 1, still no points in his acct....I got my card and using it....what should I do?

Preach!
So I guess take that, add another NY or Philly to cover the Baltimore/DC leg, and then just add another 10+ hours to it. Really IME, after DC and Northern VA (or before it, depending on your direction) it's mostly just dealing with being cooped up in a car. If you go during the day you hit pockets of traffic but pretty normal experiences for the most part; at night, it flies. Idling through VA on the way to DC on a Sunday afternoon felt like being back in Philly or Manhattan during rush hour.

I like the scenery and I think I would miss most of the distance at night driving. Traffic is lighter at night for sure!

also trying to decide if I should keep or
Anyone heard about the SW change trick for September? i didnt read through all the pages so im not sure if someone already posted it.
I guess in september, you change change your flight for free within 2 weeks... so you can book a tuesday flight for xx, then move it to leaving on sat, making it cheaper and redeeming for a better value.

not sure why, my guess says it has to do with the 737-Max8 issue again. perhaps someone can take advantage of this.
no what is this exactly? Can't you always change your SWA flights for free?

So DISchurner friends... I'm working on finalizing our Universal trip plans. We might spend our last night at the MCO Hyatt and take an early flight home.

I know I could do some googling on this but would prefer some real life examples here. Transferring URs to Hyatt - how quick is that? Does it happen instantly? I see that I could book a night in the MCO Hyatt for 12k Hyatt points (which is substantially less than using URs, even with a CSR).

Using Hyatt for a room - anything strange I should be aware of? I would assume that it is the same as using Marriott, Hilton, or IHG points (all of which I have experience with)...just book your room and you're good to go?

Thanks for any insight!
I did it a few weeks back, great plan and yes they transferred instantly! We had no problems with the room or anything it was simple. I liked the rooftop pool(we didn't use it,but it looked fun)

I’d guess I have a membership out there from a long time ago lol. We will spend all of 9 hours in this room (8 of which spent sleeping) so no upgrade necessary haha. I’m just looking for a bed and it will be substantially less pts than staying at a Universal Deluxe resort that night.
random question..... how has availability for Uni onsite been in your experience thru UR portal? I'm planning kind of far out,so not much available currently and I don't know the landscape there much.(I know it can change fast too)

Not sure I can sell it. The gift card has American Express printed over it. And Johnny Was strangely does not accept (or even sell) gift cards on their website, so I can only use this in stores. It appears they had a store in San Francisco, which closed; but there are several locations around the Bay Area. But my wife does not wear boho chic, and the prices seem pretty outrageous. Interestingly, I also have an Amex Offer for 5,000 MR for spending $250+ at Johnny Was.
:confused3
I am almost positive they are opening one at Stanford mall in Palo Alto if that is any closer. Their clothes are a bit "boho chich" as you said, but they seem to have home stuff and accessories.

Oh, you're talking about Disney's new release of RestRoom+. Starting in 2020, the new RestRoom+ on your MDE app will allow you to book those all-important pit stops up to 60 days in advance.
  • On-site Resort guests will be offered up to Four "#1 RestRoom+ ARRs" and up to Two "#2 RestRoom+ ARRs".
  • For those staying offsite, you'll be limited to just Two and One respectively.
  • These ARRs will allow you to access "the facilities" with little to no wait inside of a well defined 17 minute window.
  • For an additional charge of $7.99 plus tax per day you can purchase the Deluxe RestRoom+ package which doubles your "comfort time".
  • For those who especially enjoy their "me time", you'll want to reserve the Magical Restroom Spectacular Party which includes unlimited restroom visits, your very own Mickey Themed "Squatty Potty" and access to the RestRoom+ Deluxe lounge with complimentary soft drinks and finger foods.
  • While there is no official time limit to how long you may spend in a RestRoom+ facility, cast members may gently ask you to move it along should you abuse your entitlements.
When asked for comment, Robert Iger said: "At Walt Disney World Resort, we are constantly looking for new ways to deliver the best experience possible for our Guests – from the moment they book their vacation through the very last attraction they visit in the theme parks. We know that Guests are increasingly looking for options that fit their individual needs and simplify the planning process. This new program will be an enhancement to the overall guest experience and feature a stunning user-friendly interface to manage one of the most important time of day for many of our guests. "

Capacity may be limited so make sure to reserve your RestRoom+ ARRs early and often!
sadly this could be true.....it certainly is starting to feel this way :rotfl2:
