Ok well
@Natgridenergy and everybody else who cares...
It DOES NOT appear like you can add tickets and dining to a hotel only with AA miles. AA Vacations requires a car or flight. The car HAS to match the dates of your stay. I also don't believe the Hotel Only side will let you add to it.
@trstno1 - any chance you could do a little more reconnaissance for us on this? I know you have an existing AA hotel stay. Can you call some support number and see if you can add dining or tickets? I also wonder what would happen if you called Disney and tried to add dining - they'd probably say your reservation is tied to a
travel agent I guess...
EDIT: You could also do some sort of STRANGE throwaway room strategy here but I honestly don't think it's worth the potential hassles. You could book the cheapest Kissimmee hotel and rental car for 1 night and add Disney tickets. It says they issue tickets 35 days in advance so you'd actually need to book this room for a month or prior to your actual expected stay to take advantage of 60 day FP on the dates of your actual stay. But now you're throwing away 10,000 or more AA Miles and who knows what happens when you never checkin at the hotel OR pickup your rental car. You could pay a little more miles and do the throwaway room at a Disney resort - but again this is all sounding way too complicated.
