@wendow have you seen the new small world dooney's? They make me want one or the ears more. I love the art they're using for all this small world stuff. This might actually be a dooney I'd be ok using away from disney which is why I don't have any.

So there's some hope for the class clown? I'm at my wits' end:( Feeling so helpless and discouraged.
I was that kid. I got in trouble so much for talking and when I started laughing I couldn’t stop. I made stupid noises and we made fun of the teachers quietly. Now I’m a teacher :confused3 I will say it does help me as a teacher because I understand those kids, the trouble makers

I’m still very talkative and luckily Dh is a good listener. I just get really excited easily and I have TONS of energy.

Yes, it does look like you get family pooling just for having the Frontier MC, so if that's a big draw for you and Frontier works for your travel plans then sure, it sounds good. In the T&C it says the bonus points post 4-6 weeks after the qualifying spend and annual fee is paid. So if you get the card really soon and can use it to buy your Frontier tickets (5x pts using the card) and pay the AF then you could have those points in your account by mid to late April if I'm reading that all correctly. In any case, you'd get the benefits (priority boarding) just by having the card.

It looks like the points redemption is fixed (10K one way, 20K roundtrip) no matter how much the ticket costs in cash, so if it were me I'd be using those points for the higher cost fares. And it looks like the $5.60/$11.20 taxes+fees are waived for the primary cardholder so that's pretty nice. It does look like everyone in the pool needs to have their own email address.

I haven't flown Frontier in 6 years and the last time I did, I bought refundable tickets which were great since I kept calling in whenever the fare dropped. The airline's owners have changed hands since then so I don't know much about them anymore. I'm a big stickler about finding out the cancelation policies of airfare...which is why I love Southwest so much. So I'd advise you to find out Frontier's policies on changes/cancelations, especially with 5 people in your party. The travel protections are one of the big things I appreciate about the Chase Sapphire cards, especially the Reserve.

Just know it will take up one of your personal card slots in the eyes of credit card issuers (namely Chase being the most picky). If it's your first Barclays card I'd imagine you would get approved without hassle.

ETA: P.S. The Discount Den membership might be worthwhile for you too, depending on the age of your kids!

Thanks, we already have our flights booked and paid for with our CSP. We can fly frontier nonstop to MCO and DEN from an airport just under an hour from home. I am a member of the discount den. I have to fly during student breaks so having the luxury to not worry about the higher fares during peak season would be nice. I did get great fares for spring break and summer this year by watching their promos. Since we are already flying twice, it would be nice to capitalize on those rewards.

Thank you @platamama for the advice! I really appreciate it!

Chase's Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card (formerly the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus card) is now LIVE.

https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/ma...MI1Lmy2rrf4AIVxiCtBh1m_QiXEAAYAyAAEgL9jfD_BwE (not a referral link).

The signup bonus is similar to what's running over on Amex's side: 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after you spend $5,000 in 3 months of your account opening.

Note that this card is subject to Chase's 5/24 rule, will add to your */24 count, and comes with the following eligibility restrictions:

Eligibility for this product: The product is not available to either:
  • current cardmembers of the Marriott BonvoyTM Premier credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier) or Marriott Bonvoy BoundlessTM credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus), or
  • previous cardmembers of the Marriott BonvoyTM Premier credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier) or Marriott Bonvoy BoundlessTM credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus), who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.
If you are an existing Marriott Rewards Premier or Marriott BonvoyTM Premier customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for an upgrade bonus.

Eligibility for the new cardmember bonus: The bonus is not available to you if you:
  • are a current cardmember, or were a previous cardmember within the last 30 days, of Marriott BonvoyTM American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express);
  • are a current or previous cardmember of either Marriott Bonvoy BusinessTM American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy BrilliantTM American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card), and received a new cardmember bonus or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months; or
  • applied and were approved for Marriott Bonvoy BusinessTM American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy BrilliantTM American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest®American Express Luxury Card) within the last 90 days.
Getting approved for, and receiving a signup bonus on Chase's Marriott Bonvoy Boundless will also make you ineligible for Amex's Bonvoy Business and Bonvoy Brilliant cards for at least the next 24 months.
Chase pushed this out via email to some people and bless my Mom she forwarded it to me with "is this a good deal?" My parents may not really get 5/24 and the other ins and outs of all this no matter how much I explain it but they've learned: ask gottalovepluto first! (I told them pass, Mom is just under 5/24 and I'm setting her up for that UA biz card next...)

I wonder, do cashiers ever hassle kids using cards? Or make them show them the card/ID? I ask because I have a 12yo, turning 13yo in October and being able to have her run in for 1 thing would be AMAZING when we're out. I also never have cash.

DD, when 12, was an AU on one of my Chase cards, and she took it to go shopping with friends with no problems (probably doesn't hurt that she looks older than her actual age). She's seen me use a credit card hundreds of times, and I'd shown her what to do, so it was no problem.

lol it's an aspirational trip this point! We have Australia as our big trip in 2020 (plus WDW), so maybe 2021 for Europe?

I have lots of aspirational trips. There are so many options out there, and at this point I'm kind of just looking into a few to see if one or another just kind of fall into place.

My DD didn't have any issues (she was 14 I think, but looked like a 6th grader at the time), but it's pretty commonplace around here for kids to have cards. It was an Amex Plat, too, and nobody ever commented on it. I guess this is a YMMV thing.

One thing I dont like is I can't seem to return ebooks early. I read quickly.

I found my cat mystery series I used to read and reread all the old ones plus read the new ones i hadn't read yet but now the two newest are checked out. One on the only one and I think will come up tomorrow. But the other I'm 4th and I'm like, but that's two months....
I'm way behind so probably answered already, but if they are kindle books borrowed from the library thru overdrive, you can return them early by going to your amazon account.

My friends and I were just having a discussion on the number of times I got sent to the principal's office and suspended :rotfl: My BFF is now a high school teacher and texts me complaining about how much her students talk and she can't get them to shut up. I had to remind her that we were EXACTLY the same way when we had class together in high school.

Can someone explain how Informed Delivery works? I mailed two flat-rate priority USPS boxes to my aunt (of decorated MB's!) this past Monday. I've never used the machine at the PO before so I didn't think anything of the fact that it didn't print me a tracking page or receipt. And I didn't think to snap a pic of the labels with the tracking numbers. So, one box delivered Wednesday and we were hopeful that the other one was just 'running late' and would be delivered today. Nope. So, I told my aunt to sign up for Informed Delivery so she could see what packages are tracked to be delivered to her address. Nothing shows. So, does Informed Delivery show if a box is coming tomorrow or Saturday, or JUST day of?

Thanks for any guidance. I'm all out panicking...

Love those Dooneys!! I've never bought a dooney but someday I will!

Btw, your post reminded me to measure the ears. My dd's older ears are about 3cm apart where the band curves down and almost meets. The IASW are 3.5cm apart.

Informed Delivery scans envelopes [eta: and postcards] only and emails the scanned images to you as they're ready for that day's (or the following day's) delivery. It does not scan catalogs, magazines, and other oversized mail; instead, it'll have a generic image for those. The Informed Delivery email does have a Packages section at the bottom, which shows you the tracking numbers of packages arriving today or soon.

I've been sending my teens into the store with my card for years, and never had a problem. I think most expect it these days and honestly, with the way you process everything, the cashier hardly ever sees the card.

Ugh...so if she signed up and it says she has no packages coming, this is a very bad sign??

ETA Thanks for explaining how it works

OMG. That's almost as good as if you got both offers on the same card. Since they're considered separate offers, you could then stack them. But this way gives you four bites at the Amex Offers, which isn't bad at all!

Right? I almost squealed, for reals, when I checked the Biz Green after having added the $100 offer to my Hilton Biz; figured getting the $100 was lucky enough as is. But, ended up checking on the Biz Green to see if an Uber offer was there and better yet, 10K MRs! And, as you said, came to realization they are separate offers, so woohoo!

Very nice! I love this new artwork better than the patterns they used on the IASW D&Bs from a year or two ago. It reminds me of the artwork on the IASW LeSportsac collaboration from a few years ago (we have the Polynesian print weekender duffles).

In case others don't know what we're talking about: LINK.

You don’t need to be an AU to pool points. DH is not on any of my cards and I send all my points to his CSR, which I am also not on.

Also, I have been “retired” for 15 years. I have plenty of cards in just my name using household income. It is not a problem. I have more credit extended to me than DH does.

@iujen94 Agree with everything she said! I have been "retired" almost 20 years and I have more cards and credit than DH.
