Doesn't look anything like that and no where to bring up Disney resorts. Even when you type in "walt disney world" as the destination, it STILL won't bring up Disney resorts.

I can't even keep track now - I think there's easily a dozen or more of us suddenly chasing AA Miles for Disney! Crazy!!! haha!

I really wanted to use these AA miles to fly in first somewhere abroad, but I can’t resist Disney. And even DISNEYLAND hotels are there. I can’t wait to stay at the Grand Californian again. Idk if I want to hate you for telling me or love you for telling me. lol

This is a great place. Great people here. I don't post often, but read it all. I appreciate all of the answers to my questions including my AMEX Hilton SUB question from earlier this week, which posted yesterday to the tune of 100,000 points!

Other cards get approval dances, AmEx cards get bonus posting dances. Yay!!

Our dishwasher also got cancelled today due to weather. Definitely not as big of a hassle as your fridge saga though, bummer

I had wondered last night if they would cancel the deliveries around Pittsburgh today because of the weather. But they didn't even cancel school, so I thought, it can't be that bad. Wrong. Roads were beyond awful and definitely dangerous, and I did not trust putting DS on a school bus this morning. So I drove him to school (thought it'd be safer as at least my car has 4 wheel drive) and saw 3 different cars/vans stuck in the road, tires just spinning endlessly trying to get up little hills. There are so many angry comments online from parents (and bus drivers) in Pittsburgh who are pissed school was kept open in such dangerous bus driving conditions.

The weather and roads cleared up by late morning though, so I thought I was in the clear for the fridge delivery, but nope.

Yes, I was just typing that for you when I decided to check on new posts. The key is using that useaamiles site that @SFF posted. If you just go straight to hotels from the AA site you get that goofy bookaahotels site, which is designed to earn you AA points on hotel bookings. If you go into your AA account and on the Redeem Miles page and look up hotels, it sends you to the useaamiles page which is much easier to use and shows the points needed to book. (which changes based on how many times you sign in and if you qualify for the exclusive member rates, but at least you can find the hotels)

You can bookmark the useaamiles page to avoid the headache later.

Somewhat related note...They also have a BookAAcruises.com site...Don't get excited about it though. You CANNOT use AA miles to book a cruise from what I can see. I actually called that number earlier today to see if that was an option. Aside from hotels and cars (and the terrible gift card option) does anybody have any other uses for AA Miles besides flying? I know it seems odd but AA Miles are pretty easy to earn with multiple biz cards available and some of us just don't need them to fly.

Maryland friends... how's the weather up there? DH has to drive to Laurel tonight and I'm a little concerned.

I am a lot further north than Laurel but from what the news has been showing, the main highways are pretty clear and it has stopped snowing. But now the sleet/freezing rain is arriving. It looks like it should be changing over to just rain around 4 pm or so. The temperature is supposed to be over 32 degrees from that point on so hopefully things won't re-freeze tonight. I know if my county and surrounding counties, they did a great job of pre-treating the roads which has made a huge difference.

Yay!!! I can see our August dates! I need 148,800 x2 for two YC rooms (8/11-8/15). I'll have 70k here soon. I guess I need to move to that Barclay card that is only 50k and/or have dh hop aboard soon. Not sure I have time to get it all done.

After some reflection i have determined I love you for telling me. I texted SO yesterday and asked him if I could get him a AA card and said we could use the miles to book the Grand Californian. He said I could do whatever was necessary if it meant he could stay there again lol

You can use points and cash to cover a reservation. Are you worried about 5/24 tho? Because you can each get two AA personals in 65 days. That’s 252,000 miles every 65 days.
