Ebay buying question, if anyone knows. I'm watching something in an auction that ends in a few hours. Can I use an Ebay gift card towards this, since when you win an auction they send you notification to pay? Mainly just thinking if I would win it... would I be able to grab a gift card at Kroger tomorrow morning for 4x fuel points for it... The listing states payment is expected within 48 hours.

When I buy/win on eBay, I always just fire up my Gyft app to buy eBay GCs in set denominations closest to the final price for 5x UR on my CIC through PayPal checkout, then MPX to buy the exact amount of the remaining balance for 1x (+25% United Visa cardmember bonus) United miles, so the entire order is covered by eBay GCs. The catch is if you have to make a return, the refund is made back to your original GCs (which conveniently is now linked/stored to your eBay account).

When paying, go through a cash back portal too.

Our 6 pound cat is very skittish but can catch anything. She caught a rabbit last year that was so big she was having to hold her head way up in the air to try to carry it around. She brought a live squirrel in the house last year when I had the storm door open during nice weather. She also likes to catch baby snakes in the spring and tie them in a knot. Never understood it, but every single one she ties in a knot and leaves on the porch dead.

Now our other cat, who is fearless, could have a mouse run right by her and she'd just look at us like "what do you want me to do about it?"

We tried to cut their food down but then they meow non stop in the mornings which gets old fast. They’ve attacked bugs in the house but they mainly just try to slide them around on the floor lol

I totally did, thanks! I hadn't been expecting to book our Sep flights until March-ish so when they made the change earlier it's completely thrown me off. It was a little higher than I was expecting but I grabbed them anyway as I know it'll come down during a sale. I have plenty of time to watch. We don't usually do two points flights in a year so our points balances look at the moment. If we actually flight twice in a year one of the flights is usually cheap so we just pay cash and earn some more so I don't remember seeing my points this low since I picked up the SW card. Makes me itchy to get it again to replenish but I just need to be patient

Ours are mainly inside, but they were both born feral and do enjoy going outside. We're far back off the road though and they just stick to roaming around the outside of the house. Both of them are tiny though- once is 6 pounds and the other is 7. We have two barn cats at my mom's house too and I picked one up last night and realized it's gotten huge! They're sisters and are about 4 years old now and have really tanked out.

Dh bought Disney gcs on raise today. It was spend over $100 to get $10 off. We spent $98 and got $110 in gcs. We plan to use them for meals while we are here. It’s roughly 11% savings

On a separate note, I got emailed a code for $3 off 10 Lyft rides. We are using a Lyft to get from yc to cbr today so it will cost us $4.50 lol. No way would I pay for a Minnie van when I can just do this

we have two cats,both are amazing mousers...they'd better be it's their job!!! anyway once in a while we get mice in the garage, and we put the best mouser out there with a litterbox and a bed for a few days to clear up the problem...once we lent her to a friend to clear up their basement for them! she stayed for a few weeks and took care of business.....

Thanks for your response! Yes that is way too much money and not worth it to transfer points on AK Air or AA, would defeat the purpose of a sign up bonus and any earned miles. I have no problem booking the flights as it would be for my DD. I haven't explored using miles on any airline yet except SW. I'm going to go for the Alaska Air card or AA, can't decide but that is the RT ANC-LAX I'm looking for. The prices are pretty expensive, on occasion I'll see $220 or so in main cabin, just depends on the time of year and how far out in advance purchasing.

Another thing to keep in mind is what the change/cancelation penalty fees are for booking with award tickets. With AA awards, as long as the destination & origin remain the same, you can make changes to the dates & times & routing for no fee (up to 21 days in advance of departure; if within 21 days it's a $75 charge) within 12 months of booking the award ticket. Otherwise it's $150 to cancel and redeposit miles into your account. I believe it is a $125 change fee (for any changes or cancelations) for Alaska - but I've never used Alaska so can't speak from experience. And if you have some elite status with either airline, that affects fees too.

Wow, filing all of this away! I had no idea you could still go through a portal with an auction. Also the Gyft/MPX process, now that Gyft likes me. Mainly going Kroger this round because 4x FPs plus Discover is 16+% savings, but making note for when that's not around.

Ok I'm now paying attention.... PNC.... this is currently the easiest deal to set up an acct and use a cc for a 2k setup,right? I'm looking to do this for both myself and P2 in the next few weeks, anything I should be aware of? (need to MSR) if I'm not trying to snag a bonus persay while doing this, it appears that I only have to keep $300 in acct to avoid a fee.... is there a hard pull for a bank acct? also- how do we lower our cash advance limit? the card I want to use is $1800(!) and I don't want it to code as CA....thanks!

Are you sure you don't want a bonus while you're at it? 2 birds with 1 stone and all that, lol. The Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend comes with a $200 bonus with $2000 direct deposit, the VW with Performance Select comes with $300 bonus with $5000 direct deposit. Both require 10 debit card transactions for the bonus (easy to do with Amazon reload). Many bank push transfers count as direct deposit. I used Chase checking. The account can be downgraded to a plain VW (easy to do online), which just requires $500 to keep fee free.

Or if you want really easy, the savings account is no monthly fee, no minimum balance. Just don't close it within 180 days ($25 fee). I opened that for DH some time after I opened the VW for him. Would have done the same for myself, but failed the identify verification questions for some reason (even though the VW went through fine).

Love the talk about the fur babies. I have one cat, I got him when he was 4 weeks old... he was less than a pound then, he was a barn cat and the farmer had like 16 kittens and they couldn't take care of all of them. He is now a house cat through and through, he probably would try to "play" with a mouse, and probably would eventually kill it by accident. Thankfully I have not had to find out what he would do.

I miss our kitty DH had two from college; A stray had a litter in their barn and mom and the rest of the litter disappeared so he took in the last two. One was not happy at all being inside, other than being around people. So when DH moved home they had to go back outside and that cat was so happy, getting to roam but also greeting you when you got home and laying on your feet anytime you tried to work outside. It was like the best of both worlds for him, but he disappeared last summer. We're still heart broken We've got coyotes and raccoons and people let their dogs run loose in our area.

The other cat is also a sweetheart and would be totally happy inside so we will take her with us. She's pretty lazy and now fat so I'm working on getting some mats off her back because she can't clean herself She goes on a diet today. Since she doesn't like to leave the garage unless someone is working in there/the driveway anyways, we keep her shut in now unless someone's out and about during the day (but really all she does is move into the patch of sunlight at the front of the garage ) and spend some time with her each night. We couldn't keep the other cat shut in - if you closed him in one night, he wouldn't come back for about 3 nights - he'd be around in the day but hide in the evening when you wanted to close the cat door.

HAHAHAHA!! That's great!! Possums are sneaky. We've had one at our house the last two nights- we call her Maude. Unfortunately, possums meet their end around our place as they can make horses extremely sick. We also had one kill three of our chickens recently!

I don't think they're that ugly, but one did scare the crap out of me one morning when I went to go in our feed room in the barn and it was sticking its foot out through the cat door preparing to exit.

It was just hysterical to me. I still find myself saying "run like the wind fat man" on random occasions. lol The very last one talked about on that thread was also good, the one with God talking to the lady who lost her top. But I can't find that one again.
