DoC highlighted some good offers this morning. One was $100 MasterCard with no fee from staples.com. Hoping the RMN offer will trigger. And the Kroger 200 fuel points on your next purchase coupon is working again.

I've been waiting for these Staples deals. Is your RMN the $5 on $75 or $10 on $125? Which are you going with? I'm debating adding a $25 GC for somewhere, maybe I could load my Netflix account.

Have you logged into your GE account? Because when I did, my appointment was canceled. No email or notification of any kind. On the website it showed my app at “conditional approval” I think, when before it showed “appointment scheduled” or something like that. I was able to reschedule but who knows if they’ll be open by then either. Those international flights emails are on auto pilot, I’ve been getting them for months.

Yes, when I log in it still shows my appointment being Thursday late morning. There are options to cancel or reschedule. So on yours it actually showed no appointment date and time set until you went in and rescheduled?

I’m currently choosing to believe the Accuweather forecast over the Weather.com one because their rain % are lower each day. I reserve the right to switch my beliefs to the other forecast though at any time if it improves.

It’s already back to just showing showers now instead of storms. I can deal with rain because most rides will still run but thunder would create problems on our dah nights

Not sure we have an inkjet but this might be a better option than trying to find one I like to buy. All the one's I saw on etsy earlier are razorback which isn't what I want. Would a regular iron work, it's for one, maybe two tanks and I don't want to spend on stuff I don't need/won't use again.

Sounds to me like there's a bunch of you on here that have craft consulting businesses and your expected income is high

I actually used to run mine as an Etsy biz but went on vacation when dd3 was born and haven’t reopened. Ha! Now I just do if someone asks me...like my son’s hockey team recently.

Not sure if it would work with an iron. Maybe order some off amazon and give it a try on a old holey shirt.

I guess the other thing I have to decide is do I want to use this towards my CIC MSR or AMEX offer... Either way, the MCGCs will go towards my car loan via Plastiq. Leaning towards CIC as I was going to make straight payments with it via Plastiq anyways, at least this way I can get 5x points on a couple hundred of it.

I have to send a friend 2k through Venmo for a vacation. I know there’s a fee attached to using a credit card rather than checking account - is there a card where reward beats the fee? I tried googling “best credit card for Venmo” but the results were staggeringly unhelpful.

Both me and P2 are below 5/24 but if eating a slot for a good return is smart, so be it. And because I’m sure I’ll get asked my status. Here it is.

What an amazing assignment! I wanted to do DCP so badly but the time commitment never worked for me. My dream assignment was BBB - though had I known the fireworks parties were possible, those would have been up there on my list!

It’s funny you mention BBB because I told DD yesterday that if they had the opportunity to meet her and get to know her before assignments then they would’ve definitely put her there. That would be the perfect job for her.
She wants to audition for face character but we missed them this fall, so she is going to do that while she is down there and it is more convenient. She dreams of being tinkerbell.

That is a tough one. There was a big difference between the crowds on party days and non-party days in September. I think part of our problem is we are wimps when it comes to cold weather and we didn't have thick enough layers on. In preparation for our Christmas trip, I bought cuddl duds (tops and bottoms) and the longer, packable coats. I think if you just have warm layers on, gloves, hats, etc you will be fine.

So excited for your daughter!

Oh good idea! We do have base layers I stocked up on for our ski trip. I will pack those!

Your lurking has netted you a nice stash of cards! From what I see, Venmo charges 3% to use a CC. If you're meeting a MSR, maybe it would make sense to use a card, otherwise no. A couple of options with 2% cash back on everything would be Arrival + and Capital One Venture. You'd earn cash back towards travel purchases. It seems more people prefer Arrival +.

If your ink is a CIP, it will give you 3x points on Venmo.

As for your next move, I’d wait a couple months and refer P2 from your CIP. I’m the meantime, maybe an Amex biz card to tide you over.

The only one that I'm aware of is the CIP, it earns 3x on those transactions so it cancels out the fee. I assume your 7/18 ink is the CIP? I'd think refer P2 for one and go that route if you're comfortable with only 2ish months between apps. Alternatively you can try for a 2nd CIP yourself, we were just discussing strategies for that yesterday, starting around HERE and spanning a few pages to see if you are comfortable with that.
