Try deleting the app and reinstalling it. When I have issues, that usually helps.
Do you work in IT - that’s such an IT answer LOL!

Busy days with stupid work but applied and just approved for my fifth Amex credit card the BBP. Fingers crossed it continues but Amex continues to love me. Apparently my anal retentive use of rotating all our Amex cards in my little Amex wallet is working. :)

So jealous of all the CIP approval parties so approved for DH for CIP yesterday morning. Still pending. They ran his credit this afternoon though. Part of the hold up could be the fraud from 2 years ago (he has a special security code with Chase). I really hope he gets it as insurance etc payments coming up.

I can't get the VIPassholder event reg page to work. It won't let me select any guests. Is anyone here able to access it to see if the MK April event is sold out?

Did you ever get it to work?

I got the email this morning for the May event and boom in the middle of doing three other things (which I am sure you all understand) managed to register us for Typhoon Lagoon. Then boom decided that D8 and I will just go alone for a quick trip in May. DH doesn’t want to go again already and D12 and D10 should stay in school. DVC all booked of course now so got an AP discount at French Quarter. It averaged about $236 including weekend. Is that a good rate? I will either use gift cards or the Arrival Plus to pay for it.

It is just crazy to be booking a trip when we are already inside the 60 day window. Flights look fairly cheap so hopefully that will stay true.

Tomorrow morning the DVC Moonlight Magic opens up for Monday night May 20th. I don’t think it will let me register since I just made the room reservation today but I am going to try anyway. That would be awesome if we can manage to do both free events. I told D8 and she was so excited and was looking at the app in the car. “So I think we should get there early to eat breakfast at Woody’s Lunchbox...”

I got the email this morning that our return mco-isp April 21 was cancelled, the 1pm-ish one, guessing that's the one they've cancelled across the board. They put us on a 2 stop flight getting in at 11pm same day. The only reason we drive out to isp from NJ is for the nonstops! If I wanted stops, I'd fly ewr (which don't get me started on them taking those away from us - we are having to seriously consider if we'll go for the companion pass again, we're covered through this year).

Anyway, I got lucky and was able to switch us to the nonstop leaving mco around 5pm same day. It was sold out, then had 2 seats available while I was on hold, which we got. And then later (possibly still now), more seats were available. Who knows.

When they made the original switch, they dropped our early bird. The girl making the second switch assured me that she was able to reattach them, but they're not there so I'm going to have to call again. Fun stuff. I know I'm lucky we got an acceptable flight back.

In much better news, my husband's CIP2 was approved overnight. Woo woo!

Congrats on the CIP party:

Were you on the 1:45 non stop MCO to ISP ? That is the flight I am seeing “sold out “ each Sunday....we are booked 6/2 on the 5:15 flight which is still has seats along with 2 other flights that day...

Changes to Wyndham points redemptions

As announced, Wyndham has moved from flat 15,000 points per night for all hotels to tier-based pricing (7,500, 15,000, or 30,000). Wyndham stated only about 200 properties would be moving up to 30k per night. There's no list available yet, but I've been poking around.

Of particular interest to WDW, 3 of the 4 area hotels went to 30k: Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, Wyndham Bonnet Creek, and Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek. The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs (whew) remains at 15k. Magic Village also went up to 30k - that's the crazy huge timeshare where you could book a beautiful 3 bedroom on only 15k points, and it's a few minutes from Animal Kingdom.

For my own interests, most of the decent to good NYC hotels also went to 30k - Wyndham New Yorker, Wyndham Garden Chinatown, Tryp Times Square South. I make a speculative booking last night at 15k for the Tryp over Labor Day weekend, so that worked out well. Interestingly, the Wyndham Midtown 45 remains at 15k - it's a decent enough chain hotel in a prime location and usually has surprisingly high cash rates, so I'm surprised it remained the same.

Poking around Wyndham some more - the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District also jumped to 30k. Yikes. It has the cash rates to support that I guess, but that is not a top-tier premium hotel. It's merely decent. The only thing it has going for it is location - around the corner from the US Mint and walking distance to Old City attractions like the Liberty Bell. There are very few other hotels in that immediate area, so I guess that's why they did it.

Thanks! We're excited to get all those UR!

And yup, we were originally on the 1:45pm nonstop and eventually got moved to the 5:15pm nonstop. For now, looks like you should be good on the 5:15. Fingers crossed nothing changes!

Two days ago I looked at Swolphin and saw many options for 2-3 nights using the flexible dates thing. Last night and today it tells me no availability, even looking for one night and going all the way to July/August. For some reason I'm having trouble believing that...

A reminder to be vigilant in tracking and checking your points balances:

An r/churning use reported that somebody fraudulently attempted to cash out ~300k UR points via phone today
https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/b8wj1i/discussion_thread_april_03_2019/ek0rg1c/

Luckily this one was caught by an email to the actual cardholder. I still recommend that you keep a spreadsheet and check your points balances often to make sure nothing is missing!

Just finished catching up after leaving at 4 pm yesterday to drive to DC for a concert and then drove home afterwards. My head hit the pillow at 2 AM and I was up at 6:20 for work... I'm officially getting too old for this! But shoutout to Citi for getting me presale access to this concert! We had a great time and I'd wanted to see this band for about 15 years, so it was a nice treat. Also saw the presidential motorcade while there. We've spent a decent amount of time in DC given that we're only two hours away, but we've never seen the presidential motorcade, so that was kind of cool.

Hoping CIP arrives today since I sent an SM early yesterday morning, but I'm not holding my breath. Up to $1500 on Bonvoy Biz MSR after a vet bill yesterday :headache:

Ugh. To tack on to this, definitely follow up on support points. In looking through my Marriott points again the other day, and trying to match up the points to when I knew people supported me, I found a PM on reddit from someone supporting me on r/churning towards the end of 2017 but there are no points reflected in my account history or my AMEX statement. So keep an eye on that too! PMs about supporting someone are awesome :thumbsup2

Decided to try a day time chat with Citi for my dh's personal card and ask for a match. No go from the day time rep. Brittany informed me that I could not be matched unless I had received a mailer or email. When I said the offer was available on AA's website, she promptly told me that wasn't the same as being 'presented' an offer :headache: So, I'll stick to late night chats.

I mailed in the info Barclay asked for to verify my dh's identity for the aviator card on Mar 11. We've heard nothing about it at all and they said he would hear something within 30 days. Someone else had to do this for Barclay also (maybe @DisneyMandC ??). Does it take the full 30 days to hear from them?

In more Barclay news, I still have heard nothing from them about the 10k match I requested. I sent the request on Mar 4. They said they were forwarding it on for review. Why are they SOOOO slow!?!?! Barclay is kind of sorta driving me crazy.

I am thinking of using mine and DH's MR Points and cash them in for Carnival Corp Gift Cards at 1:1 Ratio and use for the Alaska Cruise next year as they work with Princess and Holland America too.

Right now I have the Amex Gold Business and DH has Amex Gold Personal. I am going to be closing these when the year is up because of the fees. We both have the Green Business too - not sure if keeping yet. Am I right that I can self refer to the Amex Blue Business and then get 20,000 referral and then 10,000 SUB after spending $3000?

I just got the Delta Business in February - is it too soon to try for this? I could refer DH and he could try for one - but last time he got the dreaded pop up. But he has not had a card in a while....
