I'm late, but Yep! I ordered online and did in-store pickup. There's nothing in the terms that say you have to use the credit in a specific way (even though that's kinda how they promoted it) and I found it easier to see if the credit applied by doing the online order. It's supposed to work in-store too but I didn't want to waste the time shopping only to find out it didn't apply at the register or something. If you have eligible items in your cart online, once you hit the threshold it just takes 45 off the total. Just make sure you don't have any other "instant savings" offers in your cart. Even if you're over the threshold without them it kinda screws up the system and it won't show up - at least I think that was the problem I was having, that's how I eventually got it to show.

For anyone wondering, the $45 credit wouldn't apply to a GC (exclusion enforced :() Also, I didn't have any option to pay for my order online, I only had a "pay in store" button. I assume this was a glitch but I only had $1.76 for a balance so I paid with a Sam's GC anyway when I picked it up.

Thanks! Waited until this morning to pull the trigger. Worked fine for my online order! I did pay $10 in shipping but closest Sam's Club is 80 miles away. I probably could have gotten shipping lower if I didn't buy cat food, but my cat eats a lot and I really need more cat food. $20 Dosh is pending. I didn't have Chase or Amex offers but I used Topcashback for 7% back by going through their site and then copying and pasting the URL from the email link. That is pending too!

You need to be under 5/24 for Chase biz cards, but it won't add to your x/24 count. Yup, you can apply with EIN and get CIP #2. DPs on reddit of it even working with just SSN a second time.

Awesome! I had read once before that someone had 5 different businesses worth of Chase business cards but I thought 5 businesses sounds like an awful lot of work, but two cards with the same business, I’m in. Can this be done with all Chase business cards or just CIP?

And it’ll have to wait for now. Totally forgot I applied for the last Chase Biz Ink Cash card on Monday lol. Marriott Bonvoy Biz it’ll be...but waiting for guaranteed approval from Chase before applying.

I'm sorry for all of you with Labor Day trips who are bummed about this :( do we have anyone happy about it? I'd like to celebrate that someone here got something good out of today's surprised announcement!

:yay: Me!! I just booked a hotel stay for 8/29 - 9/2 specifically because of this announcement. Planning to do just me and DH for this one.

I'm also expecting lots of interest from clients over the next few days.

Where are you staying in Costa Rica? We're planning our second trip there right now. The tail end is the Andaz Papagayo for 3 nights (booked prior to price increase). I'm waiting for SW flights to come out so that I can finalize our plans.

I posted on here a few days ago asking for feedback on my plan to ease into churning, and I just wanted to thank you for the suggestions. It had never occurred to me to think about a business card, but last night I applied for a CIP based on your suggestions. It went to pending, but when I called the status line first thing this morning (a thing I didn't know existed), I was approved. I requested to speak to someone and asked them to expedite my card--yet another thing I didn't know I could do.

So now we'll get through this push through this minimum spend in a month or two and start looking at getting my wife a CSR or CSP. I think we dine out enough to justify the annual fee, and will easily use up the $300 travel credit, so I'm leaning toward the Reserve. We're both sitting at 3/24 now, with one card falling off in a few months. (And 1 of my wife's is a store charge card, it seems unclear if it will count--but I'm assuming it does).

Anyway, thank you all for the ideas. And thanks so much for the invite to the reddit group--it makes it much easier to stay on top of this thread.
Congrats!! If you happened to use somebody's support link when you signed up for that card, make sure you let them know. I'm sure they'll really appreciate it :)

For opening weekend or in general?? That sounds like a nightmare.
For the beginning anyway. It didn't say when they would start offering FP. You could literally spend all day waiting for 1 ride, I cannot even imagine how long that line will be, especially if they only open one at first. They haven't said, from what I have seen, if that will be the case in HS like it will be in DL.

I'll be in a few hotels. Arenal Observatory, Andaz Papagayo and Punta Islita (Marriott Luxury)

Makes me so happy that I snagged free dining during that 7 AM opening that morning. Just hoping that it doesn't end up being pure chaos now, but last week in September when kids are back in school should hopefully at least stave off family vacations. Me and all the other nerdy adults can wait in line together lol.
We are going the last week in September also. Gotta love that free dining. I never, I mean never imagined star wars would open up for our stay. :darth:

Don’t worry my husband will be in line with all the other nerds while I relaxe at CBR since someone has to watch the kids.

I was actually looking forward to a calmer-ish visit. Well glad I already booked everything.

I think it works for other Chase biz cards too. But CIP is mentioned most often since it's the most lucrative. You'll want to wait 2-3 months after your CIC to apply for CIP #2. Don't forget to self refer (or refer from your P2 if they have a CIP) for another 20k URs. And reduce credit limits.

PSA on the Bonvoy Biz (sorry if you already got the info before), to continue to put spend on it after MSR to avoid the dreaded AmEx pop-up.

ETA: I should add that every subsequent Chase biz card seems to get harder. Some people are able to get many, but some can only get a couple.

Thank you for putting it here. I’m sure my husband is dancing a jig at work. There’s a little Disney group there so I’m sure he messaged them all as soon as he heard.

I'm happy...I guess, lol! The earlier the better, that means my January trip will be further removed from the grand opening, LOL!

If that's the case when I'm there then I'll just settle for walking around and checking things out and not riding the rides lol.
