Just got Lion King tix for NYC in April on Chase portal. Can’t pick your seats but it’s orchestra or front mezzanine and the price was right!!!


@WDWRook my kids are the EXACT same ages as yours (9&12) and we just back from a cruise/Uni/disney vacation (RCCL though) with similar results - no issues making up work whatsoever. My son is in 7th grade at a charter school - they are project based learners and tend to be light in the homework. He is an excellent student and catches up easily. That being said I’m going to start looking into taking a day or two before the break starts and coming back during the breaks to minimize school being missed but no pay crazy prices. If you plan early it can easily be done. Places might be more busy but it is what it is!!!

Me: <rolling my eyes and shaking my head> One point! You're telling me about a one point drop?
So I know if on his CIP large utilization, if it impacted his credit score he would have told me.

YES! Under things to do. Was going to do Aladdin but Lion King was an extra 14% off so price was almost the same and been on bucket list forever.

we liked it! Super easy to get out of port canaveral and do the parks. The food was hit or miss but in general we had a great time!!

This may sound like a totally stupid question, but if a card doesn't show up on your credit report, does that mean Chase doesn't see it either? DH has that dealership card from last year that he thought he had to use, and it isn't on his report. I'd like to refer him for a CIP Business because I have a couple of larger bills that will cover the MSR. I don't want him to be denied though.

you are probably correct. it probably is a business card.
you could call and verify with the issuer.

I'll be happy to share. Just waiting until DD's stuff is finalized so I can plan a visit. We did the N/I/S cruise in 2018 and loved Norway, so it's really exciting. Have you been to Oslo? I haven't but was watching Oslo travel videos on YouTube last night trying to figure out how to plan this.

ETA - I'm going to need to ask for help with this one. Never tried booking something without lots of planning beforehand.

No, we've never been to Norway. I had a friend who went and raved about the hiking there. I'm torn - part of me wants a cruise, but mostly I think I'd rather travel via land on our own. Or maybe a combination. I think it will be a few years though - so many places on our bucket list and Norway isn't at the tippy top!

It's very strange to me that it's not showing up. I'm not aware of any personal revolving account that wouldn't show up on a credit report. But to answer your question, if it's not on there, Chase won't see it. Chase almost always pulls Experian, so you could have him download the Experian app and register (free) to make sure it's not there. It's possible it's a business card too but that seems odd.

Regardless, I count 4 credit cards there - so even if they all show up, he's still only 4/24 and eligible for the CIP.

Dh doesn’t talk about rides much he just really likes looking at trains. His ultimate goal is to program planes or space craft

Have you been on the trains tour at MK? I'm guessing it's down now since the trains aren't running, but my neighbor who is also super obsessed with trains used to be a guide for it and it was like the highlight of his career haha.

Since we got hit with the CA fees I did both a Schwab brokerage push and a combination of various paycheck type things to hit the 1,000 DD, so I'm not a good DP on what counts. But it was a helpful account as a push from Santander triggers the M&T bonus (also Schwab and Fidelity brokerage accounts seem to work there too).

Now what can I open next to move my paychecks to?

All this talk about liking trains... I am the guy that opts for long distance overnight trains over flying (although there are other reasons for this). We are riding the Acela later this month to NYC for only the second time, that should be fun. One day, I'd love to ride the Empire Builder through North Dakota and Montana, especially through Glacier National Park. I've also heard the California Zephyr is the best scenic trip, as the train goes through the Rockies.
