I don’t know, never done it but see people mentioning waiting 60-90 minutes. Um. No. Which week are you there. We’ll just be at WDW, 3/23-3/30.

You have to line up to get in and it is a huge area so sometimes if you want certain seating areas getting there early is the way to go. Me - don't really care where I sat so long as it was dry, but arriving too late and not getting a fast pass means going a little earlier next time.

I went to my local ShopRite to take advantage of the 10x UR on my CSR. I got a $400 Disney gift card and a gallon of milk. It took 2 overrides to go through with ChasePay. :confused3

Why have variable load gift cards up to $500 and ChasePay if they both require an override? I am glad I am a regular and they know me in there and just blindly did it with no questions asked. I need to do it again with the CSP before 2/4. Maybe I will make a trip tomorrow if I feel like heading out. It helps to be off from work!

i believe its got something to do with fraud. Whenever u swipe or scan(barcode), it usually requires an override because its unsecured to the company.
If u were to use a chip, then it would go through like usual.

just a guess though.

The one I struggle with each year is the dependent care deduction. My wife works 1 day a week, and that happens to be 1 of the 3 days my daugher attends preschool - so it does allow her to work. I went back and forth a lot last year and didn't take it ultimately. I'm sure I'll debate again this year a lot too hahaha.
I never paid for ‘daycare’ when I’m at work, always have a relative watch DS. He did start preschool at 2 and I always claimed it, and later, daycamp. If you’re uncomfortable with it, use 1/3 of your total as that is the time you paid while she is at work.

That is one on the fence. I could see where you could do a portion of the total cost for this.

I haven't even started looking at taxes yet. The only thing I did was file the 1099 we got from Chase for our bank bonuses this year. in this year's tax folder.

Question for all who do use Turbo Tax or some other software and also do their own. Do you use the software as a double check? I did use Turbo Tax once upon a time but I have my spreadsheet set up and use the Free Fillable Forms to electronically submit. I figured if I was going to do it myself anyway to skip the software purchase. Right now I just do mine/DHs and DS. Though DS decided he wanted to do his this year since he is an adult now! I said fine. Here is last year's federal, state, city, and school district. Have fun!

It’s one reason we rarely see parades and shows. I hate sitting around for an hour or more, just waiting. If a parade is starting and we happen to be nearby and can see, great. If not not, I’ll gladly ride more rides. Getting in late to a show is often useless because I’m short, and DS and I usually can’t see. I recall staking out a spot for fireworks at MK, sitting on the grass, then having taller people sit in front of us. Couldn’t see the castle at all.

I probably will just let that go again this year...

Regarding doing my own, when I used the fillable forms, I always checked myself with turbotax and my spreadsheet.

:offtopic: I'm in the market for a new weekender/overnight bag. Any suggestions?
I have the Vera Bradley Grand Weekender and love it. We do a lot of road trips and if we are staying in multiple places on a trip and have just one night in a hotel, I'll usually bring this and use for those one night stays so I don't have to bring in all the luggage.

I’m old school and first print out tax forms...do them myself then compare to turbo tax...

Makes sense. I need 50k AA miles to get us from San Diego to Philly so went for the lower ms. Now waiting for the card after getting the approval letter from citi. What’s the point of that? CIP is next for me (April) than the Barclays aviator and Hilton no fee.

I think I’m going to do BBP and then cancel DH’s CIP for him next month and then probably get him CIU. I need to keep an eye out for an increased offer on Hyatt cards too though because I plan I’m getting that for both of us. After that, hitting amex hard for DH...

Ohh...I love Vera Bradley luggage...my daughter worked there during college...she got great deals and bought me luggage...

On the train at Disneyland yesterday and a lady to her family l was like they have a show at 9pm Fanta... fanta.. something idk it’s like Fantasia with Mickey. This is at 8:30 and we are by Main Street. She pulls out her phone and shows her mom it’s showing it’s on the water. She was so conufused but they decided to get off and head over there. I can’t imagine she would be able to see the show walking up at 8:45 for a 9pm show.

Idk if I should say something in those situations. I just gave SO a look and kept quiet, these are the same people that go to Disney and say that it’s awful.
Definitely a keep quiet situation! Luckily they probably finally worked their way over there went “uh, yeah, no” and then Pirates would have been right there with a super short wait time! Love how close everything is at DLR, even Newbies can try something and when it falls apart just turn around and go “ok, let’s do that thing!”

I am quite fond of lumpia, pancit, chicken adobo and learned some recipes when I was a Navy wife from my Filipino neighbors. I like to eat lumpia but it's a lot of work to make them, so doesn't happen often

Just the smell makes me  so I have to take meds just to keep me from throwing up, sadly. At least I'll be super mellow for MILs party! The reflex is from having to smell it every Saturday in front of the NEX when the Chiefs Club would be selling to raise funds for whatever. I learned to hate shopping at the NEX (now I maybe go there every 10 years if that) and lumpia:sad1:

@wendow --I'm bummed too. KC isn't looking great either. Sigh.

I got a Grand Weekender at an amazing price at the outlet and love it. Although I would like to get the smaller ones too :)

My friends had something made with blood and that was enough for me...

KC is coming back...don’t count Tyreek out yet...

I'd totally be taking that. If I go back to work even PRN I will take it. Inevitably some of my work days will coincide with some of her preschool days.

Is everyone talking about next weekend? Cuz if so, I’ll be there too! Was originally going to go this weekend but changed it to next. Am a bit bummed the weather for this weekend looked pretty good but looks so cold for next. There go my plans to go swimming...maybe. I might be that one crazy person you see in the pool during freezing weather.
Yes! Whhoooohoooo, another dischurner for the list!

Yeah I’m less than thrilled about the weather forecast but we are staying at yc so I most likely will at least get in the hot tub if not swim too

This is the 1st year we have qualified for it after the whopping amounts we paid for pre-school at Montesorri best learning experience ever for a boy!) And it was only a small amount for summer camp.

Hope so! If KC wins and plays the Rams it will sort of be like the 1985 world series (if you still have to remember the Rams aren't in St Louis like me:D).
Gotcha you since the Rams are now farther West. I was only in 9th grade and more into cheerleading and boys than watching sports.
