The rack configuration is the biggie that puts me off before the thing even runs.

And, you got your 8 years out of a Kenmore branded appliance! That's exactly how long my Kenmores all lasted. Since I'm in my 60ties, I've had multiple rounds of appliances. Right now I'm looking at a kitchen with mostly 10 year old appliances. Stove, dishwasher and exhaust fan bought together and refrigerator bought a year or two earlier, before I got a kitchen reno going and the fridge died.
We still have all of the kitchen appliances, GE Profile, that our builder put in 15 years ago when we had the house built and haven’t had a single problem with any of them. Occasionally, our ice maker gets clogged that is probably due to lack of use.

I am hoping they last until we sell in 4 1/2 years.

I have to wait until tomorrow as my credit posted as Grub hub for November. I'm going to spend $50 and hopefully get them for $40 with 4 free slices. ($10 Rose Gold monthly credit.)

I have to wait until tomorrow, too. We used the Nov. credits at CCF around the beginning of the month because we struggle to use them and we happened to be nearby. I do think this is a pretty good deal, although I have no idea when we would actually use them.

I went on the Target site and saw 44 pages of PJ's so I stopped at page 1. I did like the llama ones and the sizes seemed to be all available online if I wanted to spend $15 a pair, regularly $24. How much were they on doorbuster?
The llama ones were not as popular. @Haley R is right. It was the plaid print (button up collared shirt) that everyone was after. They were $15 in the store as well.

@Haley R Not sure which print you wanted but the buffalo check seems to be restocked online for men. The cream plaid is still OOS for men.

We have a Bosch dishwasher too. Bought it about 6-7 years ago. It doesn’t have a third rack and it dries really well. I just use white vinegar as the rinse agent. With our old dishwasher we couldn’t do our read aloud for homeschool when it was running. Always strained my voice. With the Bosch we were able to read aloud while it ran. Nice. Side note: I miss our read alouds. :sad1: Happy memories.:cloud9:
Sounds like you have the same Bosch I have since no third rack. Bought mine 6 years ago and it's still one of my fav kitchen appliances ever. I checked and it is still available but about $100 more than I paid :crazy2:

Our stuff is all GE Profile, too (well except for the dishwasher which was so loud we just replaced it before it broke). It's all working ok now 20+ years after we bought, but I do worry it's all going to stop working soon and I'll have to totally redo the kitchen. The builder put it lousy cabinets so I want/need to replace those when we replace the appliances.

And my Bosch doesn't have a third rack. I really have the lowest level Bosch they had at the time so it's not fancy. But it cleans phenomenally and it's quiet. The being quiet was huge to us cause in our last, the dishwasher was so loud that we couldn't run it at night (you could hear it upstairs!) and couldn't run if we were trying to watch TV.

Same here. No 3rd row, not top of the line or anything, but it's super quiet and cleans well. I didn't need all the bells and whistles and I still love it. Our old one was so loud it sounded like we were in a car going through a carwash when it was on.

Question - We were discussing how putting purchases on a Platinum will extend a warranty, and that adding Apple Care with that card would extend it to 3 years instead of the 2 years Apple offers. Do I have to put the phone purchase on that Platinum as well? DH found a deal through AT&T that would give us $300 off new iPhones, but they want us to do the whole contract/monthly payment thing for the phones, but I want the extra warranty since we always end up using it on our phones. Can we do both - get the monthly AT&T deal to save $600, pay for Apple Care up front on the Plat and still get the extended warranty?

Quoting myself hoping @PolyRob or @Lain might know the answer to this one. We have always used the Apple Care warranty on our phones and extending it even by one year would be a really good thing for us.

We haven't used Nov yet so thinking I will go today and grab one $25 gc and then again tomorrow to use Dec's credit lol. $50 in GC's and 4 slices of cheesecake for $30 :lovestruc My dd19 works at the mall, which is where our CCF is, so I can send her in to grab the cheesecakes and just put them in the freezer in a pinch.

Oh my goodness, I never thought about it but that is exactly how our old one sounded as well lol!!

It’s available at stores 30 minutes from us but not available to ship 😕
Ooh, sorry, you are right. I just saw all the sizes listed again and thought they restocked. They aren't available anywhere around us either still.

I also would not trust the online inventory. Last year at this time, I was trying to hunt down a blanket at target. Online inventory kept showing it available at various stores around us and so I drove to those stores only to find out that they were sold out too.

We had to replace our dishwasher a couple months ago. First my FIL came over to see if he could help us fix it. When he couldn’t we all ran over to Lowe’s. My poor FIL he was trying to help us do it the right way, look at them all, read reviews, talk to the sales person. DH and I were on the same page though. We just bought the cheapest one they had figuring that they are all kind of the same anyway. We ended up with a Frigidaire. Honestly it does not hold as much as our old GE but it actually cleans and dries the dishes better than past dishwashers. The sales guy at Lowe’s tried to sell us on Bosch as it is reported to be the best. We didn’t have a MSR so we were okay with the cheapest. :)

Guess what decided to start running again. Ughhh Hate to replace it if it is still going. But it is very finicky and deciding when it will work or not. I have tried on and off since about 7 am this morning. Probably bought myself a week of washing dishes. lol Because if we don't buy it today DH won't be able to install a new one until next weekend.
Haha! More time to think about it and research a new one 😂

I have this one from Amazon. I throw it in our luggage on the way out and then when on vacation it is the home for all our dirty clothes and other random stuff. You know how the way out everything fits fine but on the way home there is no room?!? This helps a lot with that. I have used it/checked it on 3 trips now and it is holding up fine.

Thank you! We have some very logo-y duffles and others that don't pack well.
The one thing with a Bosch, they do not have a heating element for drying, which is great, because nothing melts, so you can wash more things. But, it also means your stuff doesn't dry well. We have to use a rinse agent, then I open the door and leave it partially open after it runs, so they can dry off. But I am ok with that.
Good to know!
This is why I always end up with paralysis by analysis whenever I have to buy a major appliance. I read as many reviews as I can, and it seems like for every positive there’s a negative so then I’m just stuck and I can’t buy anything 🤣
same :sad2:

They are good for 3 moths months- Jan Feb and March, so not bad as the bonus cards that are only 1 month elsewhere. Or 3 weeks I think for Panera. Last year I used about 7, some cards and slices were gifts.

Ha! We have a Bosch (also already installed by previous owner) and that and the double wall ovens are the only things that weren’t considered “fixed upper” about our house when we bought it! It has a 3rd rack which I love because I first saw that on Below Deck and thought it was so cool. I had no idea it was a fancy dishwasher until my mother popped over and freaked out haha

Only reason to keep CSP is if you intend to refer someone to it for 15k URs. Then the $95 annual fee will “math out”. If you don’t know you’ll refer someone downgrade it now (today) so you can get your AF back. If it’s been 30 days since it posted you’ll get a pro-rated AF refund. (The rep on the phone may or may not know this, they give out bad info frequently tbh. The computer will take care of issuing your af refund in a couple weeks I think.) Call the number on the back of card to downgrade your card to a CF.

The annual fee actually posted 60 days ago. Is it too late to have is credited?

I too have a Bosch that was put in when the previous owner remodeled in 2007. It is quiet and does a decent job. Kitchen remodel is probably about 5 years away for me but if it dies before then it will be replaced with an 800 series Bosch. And like others, I have issues loading it efficiently. The top rack is just not laid out well for the way we use it.
