Our discussion on Kohls reminded me to make my annual Kohls purchase- the Harry Potter Hallmark location ornament! This year it was Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes Shop. I adore these and this way I can use a Kohls coupon + maybe eBates will track for a little extra off!

The one thing with a Bosch, they do not have a heating element for drying, which is great, because nothing melts, so you can wash more things. But, it also means your stuff doesn't dry well. We have to use a rinse agent, then I open the door and leave it partially open after it runs, so they can dry off. But I am ok with that.
This is correct and I also just prop my door too. Since I live in CO where the air is dry, things dry very fast here. I love that we have no warped plastics like we used to from previous brands!

I was in Target at 7am yesterday cause my dd17 worked at 7 and the adult pj’s were wiped out in the store in like 5 mins!! There were so few men’s available for the number of kids they had. Tons of kid's sizes were still there at 7:30, like 3T and 4T, but no men's and only like a couple XXL in women's. I think Target greatly underestimated the demand for the adult's sizes.

My house was built in 1993 and I think that era still appreciated the double wall ovens. Before we bought this house 7 years ago, I'd never had double ovens and always assumed it was just something you used for the holidays. Instead I find myself with both ovens going all the time. I'd totally pay extra for it in another house!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cannot figure out the difference in all those settings. Your oven has the same ones as mine. I use the convection bake a lot.
YES! That's how it was at our Target, too. There were tons of kids sizes and no adult sizes. They had like 3 different designs and I would've taken any of them. We can't even order them online. I never would've thought pajamas would be the thing to sell out. I hope they get more in stock before the sale ends. Otherwise, I might ask for the price when they get them back in stock (if they do)

This is why I always end up with paralysis by analysis whenever I have to buy a major appliance. I read as many reviews as I can, and it seems like for every positive there’s a negative so then I’m just stuck and I can’t buy anything 🤣

This is so me. Ughhh I was looking at the Bosch. My mom has one she likes but I hate loading the dishes in it. I don't think the rack configuration is the best. I do like the top 3rd rack but I was reading it makes wine glasses not fit in the top rack. Hello, what am I supposed to do with those? lol I also read tons of reviews about it not drying well and just as many saying it drys fine. We have been in this house 21 years, it is about 25 years old. I think this will be our 3rd, possibly 4th dishwasher. They don't seem to last. The current one is a Kenmore Elite and it is 8 years old.

So jealous reading about everyone's fancy ovens. My kitchen needs to be redone, but not as badly as my bathroom needs to be redone, so its going to be a while. Our oven works fine, it just isn't fancy. I would love a convection oven. I might be getting one of those little flip-up ninja convection oven things for Christmas.

And fancy dishwashers.... one day!
My ovens are old"er". The house is a 1993 and the first owners replaced all the appliances in 2003 when they sold it. I've replaced the microwave and the dishwasher. So, the ovens are going on 17 years old but they still work great so I've held off on replacing. The fanciest thing about them is the convection bake that the upper one has lol. Definitely not fancy compared to modern ovens!

I have the third rack, and my middle rack is height adjustable, so I have it low enough that I have no problem fitting my wine glasses in.

I don't know what they were thinking. Don't offer matching 'family' pj's and then not have mom and dad sizes! I think they thought the idea was cute but really didn't expect parents to get in on the fun!

As far as demand, that area, along with movies, electronics and toys was where everyone in our store was at. My dd had to immediately head to self check-out where they had her working, and she says to me, 'please go see if you can find me the matching pj's I wanted' so I immediately head over there and you couldn't even get to the spot where they have them cause so many women are rummaging through. My dd wanted them for her and her bff. They were already sold out of all the designs and sizes she liked. She's hopeful they will get more in but idk, I feel like the stores don't continue ordering more Christmas designs when you are less than a month from Christmas.

And my Bosch doesn't have a third rack. I really have the lowest level Bosch they had at the time so it's not fancy. But it cleans phenomenally and it's quiet. The being quiet was huge to us cause in our last, the dishwasher was so loud that we couldn't run it at night (you could hear it upstairs!) and couldn't run if we were trying to watch TV.

Idk what they were thinking. Maybe we just won’t do them this year. It’ll be more fun with the baby next year anyway. We went to target 2 hours after they opened because we didn’t need any doorbusters. We got glass containers, Dh got underwear, and I bought the Xmas pillows for $5 lol

Guess what decided to start running again. Ughhh Hate to replace it if it is still going. But it is very finicky and deciding when it will work or not. I have tried on and off since about 7 am this morning. Probably bought myself a week of washing dishes. lol Because if we don't buy it today DH won't be able to install a new one until next weekend.

The rack configuration is the biggie that puts me off before the thing even runs.

And, you got your 8 years out of a Kenmore branded appliance! That's exactly how long my Kenmores all lasted. Since I'm in my 60ties, I've had multiple rounds of appliances. Right now I'm looking at a kitchen with mostly 10 year old appliances. Stove, dishwasher and exhaust fan bought together and refrigerator bought a year or two earlier, before I got a kitchen reno going and the fridge died.

I went on the Target site and saw 44 pages of PJ's so I stopped at page 1. I did like the llama ones and the sizes seemed to be all available online if I wanted to spend $15 a pair, regularly $24. How much were they on doorbuster?

They were $15. The ones that are sold out are the plaid ones with the collars

OOh I didn't know Kohl's did these! Thanks for the tip, now I'm able to cross off some friend + coworker presents!

We have a Bosch dishwasher too. Bought it about 6-7 years ago. It doesn’t have a third rack and it dries really well. I just use white vinegar as the rinse agent. With our old dishwasher we couldn’t do our read aloud for homeschool when it was running. Always strained my voice. With the Bosch we were able to read aloud while it ran. Nice. Side note: I miss our read alouds. :sad1: Happy memories.:cloud9:

I have a Whirlpool but it's close to 10 years old now and still working fine. Hope I didn't jinx myself. Daughter has had 2 of the Bosch ones and she dislikes them also, but needs to wait a bit to replace. I can't even stand loading hers and I don't think it cleans well. She seems to have to really wash everything first. I just scrape off scraps and place in the dishwasher and rarely have any food stick to mine.
Tell her to take the spray arms out and rinse water through them to make sure the holes are not clogged. Corn will clog the holes in mine if my daughter doesn’t scrape the corn off the plates. The filter in the bottom also needs to be washed out once in awhile. Bosch dishwashers do not have a food grinder in them which is better for your plumbing. I am on my second Bosch (different houses) and when we did a high end kitchen renovation 2 years ago it was the only thing I saved since it was only a few years old.

@WVMomof3 Our neighbors recently got a Bosch and they are in love. They put dishes in without any pre wash and they come out clean. I'm not sure I could ever not rinse my dishes but it's amazing how they get clean no matter what.
Glad to hear all of the other positive reviews for Bosch. We have a GE profile that works fine but is noisy (it's running now). Bosch will be on our radar when it stops working efficiently.
We have a GE Profile also that is 15 years old and hasn’t had a single problem. DH insists that the dishes are washed before ongoing into the dishwasher and could probably go straight into the cabinets. (We don’t have a disposal since we are on a well and the builder could not put one in per code.) I have been happy it although it can a little noisy.
