I did purchase $500 in gift cards from Verizon Wireless very early this morning and I got an e-mail from Amex that I used my $100 offer as soon as the charge went pending. Pretty excited about that. Maybe I will count that $100 saved on the wireless bill as savings towards the AirPods?

You cannot do this (or any chase checking/savings deal) deal until your checking and savings accounts have been closed 90 days. Your banker cannot get you this deal to my knowledge.

In general if you’re going to do bank bonuses you want to have a main hub type account at one bank and open others on the side for bonuses. You don’t want to switch your main bank to chase bonuses. If you’re happy with Chase as a hub stay there and open other accounts on the side for bonuses. Personally I use Ally as my hub account, there are a couple others people like as well. I’m quite happy with Ally as I hate having to talk to people in person lol.

I figured as much but thought I'd ask the experts Chase has such good bonus deals, but we have a car lease, CD's and CC's with them, so it would likely be better to keep them as a hub. I just hate missing out on the great deals!

I think that's absolutely justifiable logic! I just happened to be at the mall the other day and accidentally wandered into the Apple store....saw the new 16" MacBook...Nice! But, what really caught my eye was the 13.3" Air next to it in Rose Gold... just a LITTLE bit bigger than the iPad..might be easier to type on...so pretty....Apple will be having their 'big' BF sale soon....Do I have any need for it??? NOPE

Random question: I received a Cash Back card from Square in the mail the other day, unexpected, no explanation other than 'Scan the QR code'. I'm guessing it came from signing up with some of the cash back / rebate sites recently. Does anyone else have one of these? Does it have any value???

ETA: It’s actually a Visa Debit with my name on it (but the name I go by, not the full legal name) and a funky symbol on the front that I guess can be customized. I’m wondering if it is something similar to the Serve/BB cards?

Hmmm I don’t think DVD is included with these, just the 4K, blu-ray, and digital. May have to wait for regular Blu-ray dvd combo.

Got back from the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel a little while ago. It was okay. Nothing fantastic that makes me say "I can't wait to go back". Since I don't drink or gamble, I was likely in the minority at the complex (which is HUGE and connected by 3 hotels). It is clear the hotels / casino are attractions in and of themselves and I would imagine the crowds were a mix of hotels guests and locals.

We got there around 3:45 and our room was ready (check-in was at 4:00). It seemed to take forever to check-in as I wouldn't allow them to store my driver's license information in their system (I have no issue with them using it to verify my cc, but don't see a need to have it stored in their computer), so a manager had to be called over (she approved no problem). We went up to the room and had a nice pool view with the 441 in the background. Room was nice; looked very new; bathroom was quite nice with a huge shower. We went down to the pool area and walked around -- looks very nice for those that like sun bathing / spending time in the sun. We then went for our 5:00pm reservation at Kuro (Japanese) and really enjoyed it -- food and service were both excellent. When we left dinner the crowds were thick everywhere - had trouble walking back towards the elevator bank to our room (I hate crowds).

We had tickets for Chris D'Elia at 8:00pm. The new theater is really nice and seemed to be quite large. He was late starting and his 'warm-up' comedian was on the vulgar side, but still funny. Chris D'Elia was hilarious -- really enjoyed his show and would definitely see him again. Dd wanted to have some gelato on the way back from the show; I tried a little bit of hers and it was good (I was still full from dinner).

Went to 'Rise' in the guitar hotel for breakfast and it was at least 25% empty. Good sign! Except we were told there was a half hour to 45 minute wait (a game I don't care for). However I put my name down and went out to the man-made lagoon and dd and I rented a 2 seat kayak -- it was a lot of fun! We were heading back to the dock when I got a text that our table was ready. Food was excellent and service was very good.

Valet parking was a nightmare. I had called down my ticket number before we left the room. We didn't get to the valet for at least 25 minutes only to find my car wasn't there. Apparently the person I spoke with didn't order my car to the hotel. So we had to wait 15 minutes, which is very frustrating when I waited on hold for 15 minutes in our room to speak to the valet desk.

I am glad we went, but I wouldn't go back, at least not for an overnight stay. It was quite expensive and we only live a half hour away. Plus the crowds were a bit much for me. I think the target demographic for the hotel was mid-20s to late 30s. Also of note is it appeared that smoking was allowed in all areas of the hotel, except the theater and some floors of the hotels (we had a non-smoking room). I was shocked to see people on the slots in the casino with their kids beside them (had to walk through the casino to get to the theater).

Oh gosh, this reminds me that the other night DH was watching a video from a vlogger at the theme park convention going on in Orlando, and I kept thinking that his voice sounded familiar and it was Tim Tracker. I was like, hey that's TT! And he was like, I don't know who that is. So I explained... remember at HHN last year when we were stopped from entering a house and all those people were going to take a picture with a vlogger? That guy

I have to say the comfort collars did not make me happy because I did not like them on Tigris, but DH had no issues so I think I'm just special.

Yes. It has a few blackout dates but not too bad. I think we could make the math work in our favor just by staying at their “onsite” property for the SW perks.
