Someone talk to me about the Wells Fargo Propel card. My next card will be Chase because I'm under 5/24 but I'm looking at the Propel to use the awards for WDW tickets. Anyone ever done this redemption with the card? DH and I do not likes Wells Fargo (do not trust them and they ripped us off once actually) but the rewards seem so lucrative for no fee...
I have the Propel World. Have you looked at that card? It’s got a better bonus, airline credit, af waived first year and I cashed the bonus out to my WF checking, yay cash!! Info on DoC how to go about calling for it. If the rep can’t find it HUCA. I got lucky as my first rep got it for me. You really want to get the best bang for your buck on a new WF card as I think WF limits you to one personal cc bonus every 18 months. Idk if you need a WF checking account to qualify but...

Best idea: apply for the $400 checking account bonus first then after the account is open try for the WF World Propel. If you get it soon might be able to double dip the airline credit for 2019 & 2020.

Is their airline credit easier to use than AmEx?

Checking in from the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, Florida.

The hotel is lovely. Check in was chaotic last evening, mostly due to a wedding getting ready to take place on the front lawn. Despite this, the reception was warm and welcoming and very personalized. I was offered a drink first as soon as they were aware I was checking in. Backing up a bit, valet parking is mandatory and my car is filled with my 'stuff'. So I asked the valet where would my car be. He put it very close to my room and I was easily able to access it so as to control the amount of belongings that needed to go to the room with me.

The hotel is spotless, older historical building, but modernized to the hilt. Bed was comfortable, but I do find the vanity area small in the bath - no tub, but a substantial shower.

I decided to have dinner delivered to my room as I was pretty exhausted, as I had gone to AK and Epcot before leaving WDW in the early afternoon. Dinner was very good - I had a chicken entrée as I had been eating skirt steak at Flavors from Fire earlier. I also ordered some veggie skewers as I was craving veggies. The food was perfectly grilled and very flavorful - and plentiful - there was enough for another on the huge tray, but sadly, it went to waste.

I was up and out a little after 5am as I fell asleep shortly after eating last night. The gulf is right there and I did enjoy sunset last night, but wanted to watch the sea birds awaken this morning. Came back in about 5:45 and was immediately offered coffee - this is a very accommodating place. Coffee was excellent - Lilly branded and also a selection of teas were set out to serve yourself. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am.

Checked the Marriott website and for my February trip, points are up to 40K. I used a 35K cert for this trip. I'll keep an eye as I wouldn't mind staying again in February. I could do straight points but I'll have 3 certificates by then.

I would say this one is well worth the redemption value.

We've actually had this happen quite a few times. Dh said he uses their chat and tells them the package is late. He then says he would like the $5 credit since it was Prime. We've gotten the $5 on quite a few things that have been late even if it was only one day late.
They used to give a free month of Prime when it was late...the good old days lol...I've chatted and gotten a $5 credit numerous times, but I never can seem to find it later on,so I don't know what I'm missing.

I’m always craving veggies by the end of a Disney trip!

We have a flight out at 6:30 am Tuesday morning to Disney. 5-8 inches of snow expected tomorrow night at home. Airport is 2 hours 15 minutes away in good weather. Hubby doesn’t like to drive in bad weather so we decided to book a hotel tomorrow night right next to the airport and not deal with the stress of driving in bad weather. It’s a IHG hotel so I figured I might as well sign up for an account and earn some points from staying there. Plus used my CIP for 3X points and it’s a park and fly package so I don’t have to pay for airport parking. Going to leave car at the hotel and take shuttle to the airport. Will only end up costing $45 more to stay for the night at the hotel vs. parking fee at airport. Trying to look on the bright side. Hope weather doesn’t end up being too bad. Look like more snow by us 2 hours north of the airport and mostly rain further south. Sigh, thought traveling in November meant I didn’t have to worry about snow. That is one of the reasons we stopped going down during February.

I woke up this morning and there was a perfect AA Biz class saver flight from London. I needed something that left after 2pm since I'm coming off a cruise ship with a 2-hour Southhampton to LHR drive time. I have it on hold until Thursday. If my points don't come in I'll just buy them. I'm only short 20k points. It still comes out less than flying on BA and paying the fuel taxes. I'm semi optimistic my points will be transferred by then, but if I end buying them I'll just have more points for a later date. I'd rather buy points than pay some sort of tax to a non-US company.
My Citi Biz closed on the 8th
Received email statement today the 10th
Miles have posted to AA account on 10th.

Perfect. Thank you. I did call Advantage and they said they may be able to extend my hold, but they won't know until the day before its set to expire. If I do end up asking for an extension I'll let everyone know if it was granted.

Check your Just 4 U account or app and add this offer ASAP, as these coupons have been known to disappear before the expiration date. The coupon is eligible on variable load MGCGs of $100+, so it's recommended to purchase $500 to maximize the bonus points earned on this deal. Limit one time use per account.

Pay with a credit card that earns a high bonus at supermarkets, like the Amex Gold for 4x Membership Rewards Points, Amex Hilton Surpass for 6x Hilton Honors Points, or Amex Blue Cash Preferred for 6% cash back; Chase Freedom for 5x Ultimate Rewards Points using Chase Pay through Samsung Pay if you have a Samsung phone; another card that has supermarkets as its quarterly bonus category; or a card on which you're working on the MSR. Amex cards on which you're working towards MSR are generally fine to use for gift cards at grocery stores as long as you mix in some actual grocery items to give your purchase an odd number.

A bit confused. Did you file a claim with Chase insurance or with Alamo?
I had to file with Alamo, but I also had to notify Chase what happened within 10 days of the incident to qualify for the credit card coverage from the CSR. Chase uses a 3rd party to handle claims, so then I had to open a claim online with that company within 100 days, and I have up to a year to submit documents for the claim.

So far, Alamo is claiming they haven't received a bill from the body shop yet for the repair (incident was June 1). I called in July for an update, and was told they give themselves a 90 day window to get paperwork from the body shop. I called in September and was told they would request a bill from the body shop. When I called last month, the rep said she would send out a 2nd request for the bill and if there wasn't one they would close out the claim. I called last week, and that rep said she would send out a 3rd request for the bill and if there wasn't one they would close out the claim. I told her that's what the last person told me. Oh no, ma'am, it's only after the 3rd request that they could close out the claim for no response. >:(

Wooooow. ...I think I’m more confused than before- sheesh! So many potential gotchas there, what a minefield :(

There’s also a deal this week at Meijer. I think it’s $10 off a $150 vgc purchase.

Thanks for the review! We have a stay booked there on a FN cert for February.

Can you do more than one swipe per load?
I usually do two swipes per load (if it's the $200 cards), once I did three. I only go to (one) WM since I don't have any nearby FD or DG.

I finally got regular cashiers to load and they don't really seem to know what to do, so with them I keep it to one swipe. I only do multiple swipes at the money center counter.
