I love credit cards so much! v2.0 (see first page for add'l details)

Hi - Question: After doing some deep searching through my credit report, I realized I am technically 5/24 right now because when TJX switched over my store card to a MasterCard, it showed up as a new account on my credit report (grrrr......). I just canceled that card since I never use it. How long until I am safely 4/24 again? I also took myself off as a UA on a card my DH opened back in Aug 2018, so I should actually be 3/24 now. But how long should I wait before applying for something else? I was denied for my 3rd CIP today, which set me off on this deep dive into exactly what has been reported on my credit report, so wondering how long to wait before I reapply for that too... (ugh).
If it was a chase card, you can call them and have them remove the card from your credit report. For non-chase you should be able to contact all 3 Credit bureaus and have them remove the card. I did that a couple of years, it's just an online request. Super simple.

Because of bad weather last night, Trick-or-Treating was postponed to tonight. We don't usually get many kids - no sidewalks, no streetlights, about half the people don't turn on their lights and pass out candy - but I only had 10 total. Even my kids when they were big enough would go to their friends' neighborhoods instead of ours. So now I have 20 full size candy bars to eat!

Well I’m one step closer to 30 😢

Happy birthday! No sympathy here. My 30's were great, 40's were great too, I'm 3/4 of the way through my 50's and no complaints. I expect my 60's will be fabulous.

October-
Met Amex Gold MSR/Received SUB
Met Citi AA Biz MSR (waiting on points)
Received Barclay AA biz P2
Opened 2 checking accts
Met requirements for Citizens bank (no bonus yet)
Redeemed 64k MR to Delta and 50K UR to Hyatt, plus 140k Hilton. All toward an 8 night trip to NE next year

November-
Working on CSR/CSP MSR
Working on Barclay AA biz
Met requirements for BB&T bank (did this today so no bonus yet)
Goals for the month are to meet Barclay AA Biz spend and between plastiq and the aforementioned reimbursable spend will probably get close or finish CSR (depends on how Christmas shopping is lol)

That stinks, but glad it wasn’t too many points that went into holding.

They fixed me up today when I called to add 2 nights of quick service plan. I had to call because I guess I waited past the last minute. The option was gone when I signed in about 4:30. I was thinking you have 2 days to add it, but apparently it's hours. Since I'm at BCV for the first 2 nights - used up the BCV points - and it's food and wine. BCV is a fairly decent option for quick service since it's so close to Epcot.

I also got my waitlist for February. I had the 16th in a garden view and the rest of my time in a standard. So, when I called, the CM says, 'we have some pixy dust for you.' Nice!

I've been a little MIA lately, just dealing with the craziness of life.

My CC plans for November are to finish MSR on my Hilton Biz, start MSR on both P1 and P2 SW Biz, PCing P2 CSP and my CIP. In an ideal world I would be working on maxing cash back on Discover, figuring out Serve, and trying to MS to earn P2 free weekend night for Hilton. I suspect those things will take a back burner though. I also should probably be looking into my strategy after SW CPs.

Travel related I'd like to book our April DC trip.

And in other financial aspects I'd like to purchase our second vehicle. We've pretty much settled on a Honda Pilot but haven't decided if we want pre 2016 or the newer style.

Great, glad it worked out!

I have a friend asking me about Chase travel cards. She isn't interested in opening and closing accounts, just wants a good travel card with "perks." She asked me about the CSP and I advised her to look at the CSR. Probably losing a support click...

Love the gif. I've done the same, but it really is a good card.

Ugh, guys. I need a prescription for Disney World. My back/hip felt great the entire time I was there walking 20k steps a day and has felt pretty good since then until this week. Now it’s really killing me again :sad1: I have a standing desk, but I think it’s really the walking that helped more than anything, which I obviously can’t do while working a full-time job.

Do we think my health insurance will cover another 8 day trip? I’m willing to stay in a value...

HAHAHA Although my left knee was totally sore walking back from DHS to BC on Saturday, I need one too 🤣

We gift Harry & David every year. Our families love the pears too, and moose munch. Yum! I was half expecting Harry & David Amex Offers to drop before Black Friday. These are better than the 5% back on Chase Offers. Don’t forget, Shoprunner comes with (most/all?) Amex cards, and that’s free 2-day shipping, although Shoprunner negates any promo codes.
I don't have any pure Amex cards, just co-branded. I don't think I get Shoprunner on those, but let me know if I am wrong. I was just looking through the catalog last night to see what I was planning to order and thinking last year there were good Amex offers by Black Friday and hoping they would show up again.

If your insurance covers, let me know. Annual enrollment is going on now and I'll sign up :rotfl: Ever since I hurt my knee 2 years ago, I can walk all over but standing still for even 10 minutes just kills it. We have stand up meetings at work and I sit down for those!
