Has anyone used Raise cash? Am I understanding right that you buy your full priced GC from them and earn whatever percentage of Raise cash, which is then like a 'gift card balance' on your account towards a discounted GC on the marketplace part?

Fuel rods at WDW are going to start charging 3 bucks a swap starting nov 1.

My old portable charger died which was why I got a fuel rod. Does anyone have a decently priced one they like?

The one I bought didn't last anywhere as long as it should have for the price and reviews.
I have these two:

I've had good luck with Anker, my first one was 13kmAh and had 2 usb outlets and it's 5 years old and going strong. It's just pretty heavy now compared to the new version of it and I was looking for something lighter for my park bag. I've got a Galaxy S8 currently and the little one is good for maybe 1.5 charges, and the big one is more like 2.5 charges. I think they are both pretty light, I tend to carry the 10kmAh because MDE is really hard on my phone battery and then if I forget to charge it I'm usually pretty okay the next day too.

I have used Anker chargers also. They work great. But I have to say this new iPhone Pro battery lasts so darn long I don't need one anymore!
What I miss sooooooooo much about my last phone, which was a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 - the battery! It is still a bigger battery than the Galaxy 10s have now. It was great, a really hard day on it was still <75% of the battery charge.

The last one I had was heavier than I'd like but I could get 2 full charges from it. What I'd prefer is one I can keep in my purse at home too but I guess I can always keep using the fuel rod for that.

I can't recall specifically how many charges I can get out of it, but I was charging an iPhone 8 and iPhone XR up at least somewhat every day for several days without it running out.

I've used Raise cash and like you say, you buy your full priced GC and earn raise cash. It can then be used toward a discounted GC or on another full price GC that you will earn more Raise Cash on. You do not earn raise cash on the portion paid with the raise cash, but still earn the full percent on however much you pay.

We used this to purchase Carnival gift cards (earned 10% raise cash) for our cruise. Very easy to use. You can also go through a shopping portal and earn around 1% back for that I believe.

Where do you find this for the business cards? I can see all offers easily on DH's personal login, but I combined mine a few years back and it's the business interface and I can't ever find any offers for my personal or business cards.
I've been looking in the app. When it launched for personal cards they were app only for a few months, I assume the biz cards might be too for now. I'm not seeing the offers section on the web in my biz account.

I have an Anker too. Really happy with it, I don't recall but its over 2k (Really just under the FAA limit to carry on). Its not that heavy compared to all the other junk we carry into the parks. Can change both DW and my iPhone Plus's and the iPad several times before needing to be charged. If I recall correctly I think we charged the iPad full and both our phone 2 times each and it still had two of five lights on.

Not technically CC related, but I saw the link here about the offer so I thought someone would know... I just realized we had a new Chase bank open about 20 minutes away, so I am planning to open the business checking account For the $500 bonus. Do I need to bring any information outside of the normal numbers I plug in to biz CC apps? I noticed on DoC that they do a soft pull of credit, would there be any issue with the 2 other soft pulls in the last 10 days for 2 other biz card apps? Can I send DH to open his own account before the offer expires - if so, is there any problem with having the same address and financial numbers?
I just opened this account yesterday and am planning to have DH do his as soon as I can convince him to go in, so I can answer some of these questions. The only documentation I needed was 2 forms of ID - I used my driver's license and a Chase business CC. You also need the offer code that you email to yourself to get the $500 bonus. Other than that, the information needed was a mix of what is needed for opening personal bank accounts and business CCs. I had to answer general questions about my business (but not estimate total revenue, just said it was under $1 million I think) and what I would be using the account for: checks, cash deposits, wire transfers, etc, and about how much of each. I also had to tell them it was a sole proprietorship, what the business consisted of, etc. For me, the hardest question was an exact start date for my business. I knew the year and estimated the date. My experience was painless, my biggest problem was the banker was so friendly that she kept chatting with me and it took longer than I thought it would.

DH and I each have separate consulting businesses, so I told the banker about DH's business while I was opening my account. She told me to have DH make an appointment with her and she would open his account, too. Not sure what happens if you have the same business, though. Maybe each of you use a different banker?

joining in on the Anker bandwagon. They have a lot of sizes. Ours is way more powerful than the fuel rod one and was under $30.

Well, this is new. Just went to pay car registration fees, California DMV is now charging 2.1% for credit cards and no Amex. Apparently effective 9/29/19.

Saw that DH put his chiropractor charge on his Amex. The very same chiropractor that told me no Amex! Umm...not sure what happened there.

Don’t ask questions just always have DH pay ;)

I used to be pure AMEX until I entered this world... I've had a lot of places tell me they don't take AMEX I think in hopes I would use a different card that charged the lesser fees to then change their tune when I said that's "all" I had.

So, your fam is larger than ours and we 'outgrew' fam boarding a year ago but we all boarded together. I saw no reason to leave some kids and dh behind since we'd be saving seats anyways. Yep, we got side-eyed by some travelers but who cares?!? I sure don't.

This last trip when we were at WDW, our flight home got cancelled. We had diligently set our clocks to check in 24 hours in advance and had early B boarding. Then our flight was cancelled and SW got us on a not-so-desirable flight home but at least we were getting home. WELL, when we checked in for that flight, we got late in C boarding, which was not surprising. SO, even though I do not have an under 7 kiddo, I asked the gate attendant if we could board with family boarding (explaining what had happened to us) and she was like 'Sure, that is no big deal at all'. All that to say, I think you whole fam is fine to board together in family boarding.
Our family of 6 always boards together as well and only now we have only 1 eligible child. I always warn DD20 they may ask her to wait but they never have.

I have lost some promotional Raise cash because I didn't realize it had a short expiration date.

I've only found them on the app for business. Plus, I'm frustrated as it says 4 offers, 3 are showing and when I click to go to the 4th, it signs me out.
I'm having the same problem with the app. It errors out when I try to see the other offers.

Yeah... this was discussed on r/churning last month. The fee apparently applies to debit too, which is forked.

oh no...we all had a good time laughing and laughing:rotfl2::headache::rolleyes1 while waiting in the B line on my last flight.... watching the 'family boarding' take place....an amazing number of young teens apparently needed to board early with their extended family groups, the poor little darlings...:crazy2: however that said, I like SWA in general,so I forgive that sort of foolishness and carry on with my own life. It is a weakness for the company,I believe.

I wonder if SW ever actually enforces the 7 and under policy. It reminds me of the so-called express lines at my grocery store for people with 15 items or fewer, where I always seem to end up behind someone with a totally full cart. I once asked the cashier, in super-nice, just-curious way, whether they actually enforce the 15 items rule and she said no, they weren't allowed to say anything to people who weren't choosing to follow the rule.
