Me too! Applied for CIP3 at around noon. I'm usually approved the next day for biz cards, but I was hoping maybe this time would be sooner!

Me 3! I applied for CIP2 Thursday night, about 24 hours ago. Still at 30 days. Hopefully @alryan will bring us some good luck!

My DS does not like to travel. He is a pain in my butt lol. I was just telling him about the Europe trip that I have been talking about planning for the whole family for right after his graduation, though it will really be as DD21 graduation gift. He was like why would I want to go to Europe, that sounds boring. Grrrrrrrrrr He rains on all of my trip planning.

I’ve got a DS like that! (He’s 27) He did go on our family trip to Ireland a couple of years ago. It included a lot of active things like hiking, biking, kayaking, horseback riding. I was thinking of a trip to Africa next year and he doesn’t want to go. He prefers relaxing vacations like when we used to go to my in-laws cottage for a week every summer and he could fish and read. He even skipped Thanksgiving at Universal last year. To be fair, he lives in Seattle and comes home for Christmas so he didn’t want to fly cross-country twice 3 weeks apart

Apparently, Chase is delaying posting anniversary FN certs on their Hyatt and Marriott cards by several weeks like Amex. I think we've had a few reports of that here recently.

FWIW, my Marriott Premier Plus/Bonvoy Boundless anniversary is 8/8 and I received my 35k FN cert on that exact date.

Is the Delta gift card still working for the $100 credit for $100 Delta purchase?

Unfortunately, purchasing giftcards no longer triggers the credit on AmEx cards (since ~6/19). The best info seems to get shared on Flyertalk. Most of the data points now call for splitting payment on a Delta flight - keep the AmEx credit card payment < ~$200-250 to trigger the credit while paying the remainder of the flight with a Delta gift card.

Some braver and more knowledgeable souls are purchasing refundable fares with Delta miles, paying for seat upgrades with the AmEx card, then cancelling the fare and taking the refund in a travel credit. I'd probably only do this if I was really under a time crunch to use the AmEx credit.

Got a call from Citi last night - they realized that a $2300 charge at Lowe's on my card that I haven't used in months seems suspicious. Glad they caught it, but annoyed that this is the 3rd Citi breach I've had in 2 years. I only have 2 cards, my oldest ever CCard (so I don't really want to get rid of it), and my new Biz, which is the one that was compromised this time. Considering I never use it (and was about to cancel it anyway) it just feels like Citi isn't at all secure.

My wife and I had four Chase cards corrupted over about 6 weeks this summer - it was a mix of personal and business cards. All of them were caught by Chase, and we weren't heldresponsible for any fraudulent charges. I don't think any credit card issuer is safe. I'm kinda suspicious about the Experian data breech.

I have no amazon offer on my Gold. I haven’t gotten an offer I could use in awhile now. I did get an extra MR point per dollar for spending at ShopRite which is where I do my grocery shopping but right now I’m trying to hit my MSR on the CIP so that doesn’t help me.

My wife and I did not have the Amazon offer on our personal AmEx Gold's, but all 3 of our children had it on both of their Gold's - they are each authorized users on both of our gold cards.

Came home from Friday night high school football game to approval on CIP3! That makes 5 Chase business cards, 3 CIP open. It was a good week for me. I am loving giftcardmall for $500 VGC. Knocked out DH CSP MSR and finished last $1000 for DH Citi AA Biz. SUB posted for my first AA miles and DH Hilton. Happy that my Staples still doesn't care how many VGC you buy. I think my plan going forward is to use giftcardmall for non AmEx MSR and AmEx for organic spend. Should allow me to get another card. I'll wait until I have these VGC loaded to Serve and then just have to decide if I want to take the chance on another AA.

One of my biggest things right now it that my kids will always want to travel with me. I literally pray for it!!

Yes pray and pay, and I am now at bargain and negotiate to try and sway my youngest to agree to bring her family to Aulani (3 bedroom OV). I am blessed my oldest DD and her family love WDW still and traveling in general.

That's my youngest DD, such a PITA.

My boy went to process into his base on Tuesday, he's within driving distance now. Today he showed up with a friend to stay here for the weekend. I cherish these days.

My boy went to process into his base on Tuesday, he's within driving distance now. Today he showed up with a friend to stay here for the weekend. I cherish these days.

My adult kids still want to travel with us too. We try to do one trip per year ourselves and one trip with kids. It’s getting harder to coordinate to get all three to go with us at the same time though because of work and school schedules.

Legit my photo looks like the women you see on the news that were arrested for DUI after driving a school bus full of third graders. It's really bad. I thought about going elsewhere, paying again for a new photo but DH said I was being nuts since no one but me and passport control will ever see the photo. He's probably right... but still.

Well... that's annoying. Hopefully it doesn't extend to IHG. Our final IHG unrestricted nights posted right on anniversary date this year, 4/24/19. The only reason we kept them is $49 AF for a 40k night isn't too bad, but I was basically going to re-assess every year based on how IHG changes properties. That's going to be tremendously more annoying if they delay the certs.

Well I went to CVS and got the worst passport photo in the history of the world.

It looks like a mugshot.

Also I'm having irrational fears about surrendering my current passport while I wait for the new one. I hate the idea of not being able to... leave if necessary.

My passport is off being renewed now. I freaked out during the hurricane last week because it and my marriage license are gone right now. Plus I got a postcard saying that I need to renew my driver's license this year and need to bring in both my passport and marriage license. Luckily they should be back before my license expires in November, but I just feel like I picked the worst time to renew it. I need my married name on my passport though so I can use my GE credit on my Plat. Plus the passport expires in March anyway so it needed to be done. Anyway, I understand feeling uneasy about not having your passport!
