This game is so YMMV. I went to my close staples yesterday and one an extra 10 mins away. I was able to get 5 cards at each even though last promo the close one told me there is a limit of 1. Went back to the close one today and my favorite cashier (the one who asked about my out of state ID) is there. He tells me it’s a limit of 1 but if I want I can pay with however many cards I have on me and get 1 per each credit card. I only had my ink and a few Amex’s so I tried 1 Amex and I’ll see if I get points. I think I should go back tomorrow with my whole dang sock drawer of 30 cards. I’ll report back tomorrow with how that goes
Yeah - in your situation I would be hesitant to mess with the flights you want in hopes you could get them back. That's the risk with cash on this loophole.When I called in, they only gave me travel funds back, not a real refund, but I also didn't change the actual flight times. This was the original booking that was insane with amex credits/LUV Funds/Travel funds, so I'm reluctant to mess with it - we are also pretty locked in to specific flight times for various reasons, and if I somehow managed to screw up and not get all of us on the right flights, that would be a problem. Not worth a couple hundred bucks!
And no, I did not mention any loopholes to the nice lady on the phone.
Could be a fun way to ring in the new year! Will the sights you want to see be open on NYD? That's something to consider if you only have a few days.
Yeah, that would be the biggest thing. Back in high school we went on a trip with band, to march in the NYD parade. The only free time we had was the evening of NYD and a lot was closed, at least store wise. I'd need to check the touristy stuff for sure, that is on my radar

I think it's one of those things that is hard to describe without a concrete example.Oh, wait... Think I got the WN thing... Flights booked from X date to Y date can be changed to 14 days before or after the booked date for however long this mystery change window is open. Bookings before X date and after Y date won't qualify for changes. (Sorry guys, coffee just isn't doing it for my brain this morning. I feel like this is really simple but I'm just too dense to understand it this morning)
This seems like a sign. I need to book a trip to Europe with MRs to Delta and then book a $500+ pay in advance non-refundable hotel rate using this new AMEX offer plus DHs $300 Bonvoy credit that just reset... And if I'd book by Nov I'd have the additional $25 anniversary credit
