No i didn’t realize I could back pedal and add more tix so I did 4 people - 2 nights 10/22-10/24 park hoppers only 10 day tix so I had 3 extra flights in there
Do you have a way to cancel that since under 24 hrs? Or will you actually use the vouchers? I'm DVC, so a hotel will be tough to use.

I’m happy to use the vouchers it’s a good value for me. You could use them for somewhere other than Disney?

Ya- I'll try to find a way to use it for work or something to get reimbursed. Pain in the butt, but I've gotten it down to $3,459.54 or 172,977 points, including insurance.

Undercover Tourist price for the 10 day park hopper tickets as $2,113.24

165,477 points w/o insurance for just tickets and flights/hotel go to waste makes them 1.28cpp

So now it's a matter of: Do I do the insurance or not?

7,500 points for a $433.54 voucher, makes sense. But do I get to use the whole $433.54 or just the hotel portion (and how do I find out what portion that is?)

@haleyr- is that you at the end of today’s Tim tracker video? Did I miss it somewhere today on here? (I apologize if it’s not and you don’t think it looks like you/ my 2 and 4 year old didn’t let me pay close enough attention)

ETA. I went back a bit and saw it was! That is so cool!

I’d do the insurance and get the voucher. You will get the whole $433 back if that doesn’t include the insurance cost.

See above I ordered last night at around 7pm I got my ticket vouchers just now so under 24 hours. What if you roll the dice and cancel in 24 hours. You could conceivably get the whole rest refunded back minus the ticket price. Just make sure they are booked for the next 60 days that’s why I think I got them quickly!!!

So.... what if you cancel right now? Call and at least ask! :D

Just ordered. I for sure will cancel as long as they don't pull the Disney Tix: "it's fine that the tickets are non-refundable, I'll use them later in the year".

Has anyone else received the email from BJs? I checked and it looks like $500 gcs are pricing out for members at $479.99. BJs hates me so their website never works for me but someone might have better luck with them :)
You
I don't think I've ever even heard of Get a Horse. Love Piper! The theater at DL didn't move. We'll definitely have to check out the one at Epcot!

I carried about $1000 on a 0% card for a couple months last year and was approved for CIU during that time.
i don’t think carrying a balance has any effect on credit card approval. It comes down to utilization and credit history. I don’t pay off my cards before they report. There’s always balances on my credit report. If your utilization is always zero it would look like you never used credit. I’ve read most people with credit scores over 800 have a utilization around 8 percent.

I posted this on the gc thread too:

We did the AP deal at Epcot today where you get a digital $10 after buying a $100 gc. They let us buy 10 of them and we’re using them to pay off our room. We basically just earned $100 towards a free dinner at Epcot.
Do you know how long the deal is going on?

Yet another Delta Vacations update!

@wendow this might apply to your situation. I called and now have another trip on hold. It was no problem to book flights for 3 but say that the room would be for all 5 of us. (I explained I have a companion certificate I would want to use). She said to just make sure you keep track of who already has a ticket and who you need to buy for. She needed names of all 5 of us since all 5 will be on the room.

She wanted to add tickets to it but I kept explaining we will have AP's.

I booked POR for the two nights as it was the cheapest that would fit 5. I did notice that AKV standard one bedroom was not a huge difference and that the Poly room that is there and available is club level. So now I am considering that...

Well, I'm thinking this Delta Deal might work for our Utah trip. Mainly for the savings on the flights, it's the only airlines with a direct flight to SLC. I'll have to call and I guess this means we'll have to finalize our trip dates.

Why is everyone buying the trip insurance?

If you buy the basic trip insurance if you cancel you get a voucher to use within a year. If you don't have it you are forfeiting the miles/any cash you have put out. Since these are trips that are far out I feel better paying the extra now and not risk losing everything. The rep I was just talking too was going on "how you can cancel even if you don't like the weather or just don't feel like it."

Just submitted my app for CIP3. Got the "We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible."

First call to the status line and I am 30 days. I am usually good for a 2am approval in 24 - 48 hours LOL

:tinker: You are approved quickly....looks like we are on the same 3 month application timeline

Look at 10/22-10/24
So to effectively compare this, it seems you want to ignore the tickets for a moment and just list the cost of the Flight (which has to land in MCO) + Room (which has to be 2 nights, correct?) so others can see if they can beat it. That's the rules of the game right?

I found:
  • 10/22 - 10/24; ATL=>MCO; All-Star; $433
  • 11/5 - 11/7; ATL=>MCO; All-Star; $397
Can anybody find anything cheaper than that?

Perhaps none of this matters if you can just cancel immediately though...waiting for more reports on that.

I walked into Staples yesterday....and walked right out...the line was to the back of the store with everyone getting their kids back to school supplies
Well I suppose there was some advantage to my kids having gone back to school in July! (Not that I am at Staples).

Chase, don't you know better? You know I'm saving those rewards for JAPAN, right? Silly Chase.
