Ugh...Wow we drove all the way to AK for the Simba magnet and they don’t have anymore. They were supposed to have them until September 5...

The email was a fake out. Disney GCs are at the same discount as always, not 20%Has anyone else received the email from BJs? I checked and it looks like $500 gcs are pricing out for members at $479.99. BJs hates me so their website never works for me but someone might have better luck with them![]()
Nice--I went to UVA and love Monticello. DD is a junior and is hoping to go to UVA Engineering. I like the idea of her being so close to home![]()
I’ve had a “membership” for 3 or 4 years. Used coupon code to start, never charged anything. If you’re worried use a cc with an expiration date soon if you have one.One more question on LMT. I found the code for a free membership, but it still wants credit card information. Does it auto renew if I don’t proactively cancel before the year is up?
Well it was out of our way and we ended up missing our mk fp because of it. That’s why I was a little upsetOK I'm sorry but this amused me.........you're staying at AKL...and you drove 'all the way' to AK. You make it sound like you drove 100 miles.
Pity they didn't have the magnet. Hope you're enjoying AKL. We sure did.
Ask me again why I'm been a vegetarian for 25 years... and counting!![]()
Yet they are on Ebay for ridiculous prices. Disney should have one for each passholder.Wow we drove all the way to AK for the Simba magnet and they don’t have anymore. They were supposed to have them until September 5...
Thanks for caring about us lol. I feel the same way about everyone on this thread. We actually could've used chase points for a hotel but we wanted Disney lol. So I guess we weren’t too picky on the resort. I mean we really could’ve just stayed at a value but we really wanted the interior hallwaysI talked to my husband at length about @Haley R and her husband, their cats and their dilemma about leaving. He was relieved when they went to AKL too, lol! Of course we own DVC there so he was like "Of course that was the right place."
Which brings me to this - Haley, you should consider stockpiling Hilton points. They are easy to amass. Use them as your hurricane plan - lots of Hilton's around Disney. Then you could stay for free. I know your DH was worried about spending the money this time, etc.
Yep rookie AP move on my part. I didn’t realize it was a first come first serve kind of thingUgh...sorry they ran out ..unfortunately all the free AP stuff is “while supplies last”....so grab those AP food and wine coasters ASAP
I agree. I looked just for fun and I saw one for $50!Yet they are on Ebay for ridiculous prices. Disney should have one for each passholder.
I went from out of state. Chose uva over UPenn. Do you mean how hard it is to get into or the cost?I don’t think it is a smart choice for him as an out of state student. Don’t get me started on the crazy college admissions process. But I have wanted to check out the area, so I am obliging him.

I've got a new cat who dislikes my dogs..... she definitely needs a place where she can feel safe or it would be awful. she has the whole basement,or she likes to sit up on the couch top and make sure the dogs don't bother her.(Cats rule dogs drool lol)Is there a cat tree or another high-up place for the cats to escape? I think they'd be less afraid (and less likely to cause trouble) if they had a place where they felt safe from the dog.

Artists Palette is pretty small,I think b/c most people head to the Springs for eating, but it's pretty good food.Yeah, I think they consider SSR "the" preview center. The other places are all small offices that are basically model rooms with a desk in them. LOL Good that you have your spiel. If you have honest questions you can definitely ask the guide. It is also nice to gauge how honest he/she is being with you. If you don't like the person and really are interested, you can always call and get a different one.
I have honestly never eaten at the Artist's Palette, but I know it is centrally located by the preview center. If you don't want to worry about heading to SSR yourself, DVC will pick you up in a DVC van and transport you to the preview center.
this is interesting,my DS is planning a road trip somewhere for next summer.... is this a good place to stay a few nights and see the park?Pretty nice view from my hotel bed for the night LOL! Looking forward to a fun day tomorrow.
(for those that don’t know Cedar Point, that’s the 420’ & 120mph Top Thrill Dragster)
