I know this coaster! Kingda Ka at Six Flags is basically an updated version of it. Don't Google what happens if the cars don't make it over the top 😳
Yeah - I’ve never had the chance to ride Kingda Ka but would love to someday. I’ve been hoping for a rollback forever!! Never got my wish šŸ˜” I think it would be so awesome :D haha. (Maybe tomorrow???)

OMG :rotfl2:

I love rollercoasters, but IDK if I could handle the rollback! The signs warning you about it through the queue and start of the ride stating "you will safely roll back" bother me more than the drop šŸ˜‚

Pretty nice view from my hotel bed for the night LOL! Looking forward to a fun day tomorrow.

(for those that don’t know Cedar Point, that’s the 420’ & 120mph Top Thrill Dragster)

Awesome! My family goes there in May every year and recently started going in October for the Halloween events too. So spoiled by staying at the Hotel Breakers and being able to walk right to our room. I just got the Gold passes for this fall and next year since it was such a good deal!

I could try to put it on hold for you here at swan but I don't think they have refrigeration from what I've read. But I can check. I could leave the water and English muffins if you want to pick those up there. I also have a bottle of diet publix brand lemon lime soda. I think that's all that's not perishable.

I'm also going to post on a DVC group on Facebook and see if there's anyone here or in the general area that wants the perishables.

it is ok. I am staying at AofA. I just was thinking I might get a car and could get it, but I'm not b/c I don't want to have to deal with any damage to it with the impending weather. Thank you though!

Back from our shortened Chicago weekend. No chance I will catch up on the 60-70+ pages I missed 😜. But here is the view from our upgraded room. It was fantastic!! With a huge cushy window seat to sit in. Why are they always sideways?8D6A5CA8-0546-414D-B281-502832EF40E4.jpegF7CA2E23-8836-4709-9895-1DF6351E7DCD.jpeg

We had a really fun time at Epcot tonight. Dh’s comment while we were there: ā€œI haven’t stopped smiling since we got hereā€ lol. He’s still upset about spending the money and I don’t blame him. We ate a ton of stuff at food and wine. The best two for me were the braised beef at France and the cheese soup at Canada.

I do think we may be stuck at the hotel Tuesday and maybe Wednesday. Tomorrow morning we’re going to mk and seeing how long we can stay. We talked about doing mnsshp but decided against it
Happy to hear the braised beef is good. I’m also happy to hear you’re gonna be safe with your fam! (Pets are family!)

I know zilch about hurricanes and living in a hurricane area but was thinking maybe this should be a part of your yearly budget? Disney Hurricane Sheltering. Might be something you could fund with bank bonuses...

I don't know what Twitchy is either - this came from the Reddit live Tropical Weather. The fact is, Disney wrote about the Castmembers on their own website. That's where the confirmation came from and Twitchy picked it up. It's at the bottom of the page here: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/guest-services/advisory/?5&CMP=SOC-TWITTER20190902001457

I read that which is why I said he said she said. I also seem to remember from the last hurricane and people are talking about it on a comment on either the dis's fb group or dvc fb group I can't remember which, that they generally have a ride out crew on the island. So is it misunderstanding on how that worked, is it a family member lying, did Disney screw up? Hard to say and we may never know. I think there needs to be more information and more worry about those that don't have a Disney built bunker to stay in since I'm sure it's built to exceed codes.

Quite frankly I always assumed a few folks stayed behind during hurricanes out of necessity.
I read the sister's tweets hours ago - she doesn't have a long Twitter history at all so that made me question her just a little.

Still... this is an absolutely massive storm. The destruction we're going to see out of the Bahamas is going be more than we can bear, I fear.

Very nice view! The one time I stayed in Chicago it was at the Westin (nice location, but no views), ok hotel, but it was free (business trip) so I can't complain. Which hotel did you stay at? I like that river location.

The braised beef was just like the beef and linguini I had at chefs. It was absolutely delicious. Dh loved the puffed potatoes it came with. They were deep fat fried. Having our cats here with is so nice. They’re finally relaxed and laying on the bed with us.

The problem is this is only the first one this season. We can’t shell out $1200 every time there’s a hurricane. I really hope the rest of the season isn’t so bad
