Great policy! Book last week of August and First of September. I was looking at availability this morning and studios all over WDW were almost all available for part or all of this week. People can cancel without penalty when your home or Orlando or Hilton Head, Aulani or Vero are under hurricane warnings up to seven days. Those same nights had been pretty much booked tight earlier last week.

And, I sometimes carry my keuriq with me. I dislike the coffee.
He was kidding though 😕 he still doesn’t want dvc

On my way to Cedar Point. Weather looks great tomorrow :D We bought Fast Lane Plus so we’ll be bypassing all lines.

What did the 5:00 hurricane advisory have to say? Any adjustments to the track??
Posting the 5pm discussion from Noaa:

000 WTNT45 KNHC 012056 TCDAT5 Hurricane Dorian Discussion Number 34 NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL AL052019 500 PM EDT Sun Sep 01 2019 The distinct eye of powerful Hurricane Dorian is moving over Great Abaco. The latest wind and pressure data from an Air Force reconnaissance plane just before the eye hit the island indicated that the winds reached 160 kt, which is the initial intensity for this advisory. It is not very often that we measure such strong winds. The minimum pressure measured by the plane was 910 mb. The eye has been shrinking, and an eyewall replacement cycle is possibly occurring. The effect of the island terrain and the eyewall replacement cycle should result in some slight fluctuations in intensity during the next 24 to 36 hours, but the hurricane will continue to be extremely dangerous one during that time. After 3 days, a more definite weakening trend should begin as the hurricane encounters stronger shear. Dorian however, it is forecast to remain a hurricane for the next 5 days. Dorian has slowed down even more and is now moving toward the west or 270 degrees at 4 kt. The steering currents are collapsing and Dorian is expected to slow down a little more, prolonging its catastrophic effects in the northwestern Bahamas. The NHC forecast calls for a slow west to west-northwest motion during the next 48 hours. A turn to the north and northeast with a gradual increase in forward speed is expected thereafter, as the mid-level trough over the eastern United States deepens. The current forecast is not very different from the previous one, and it is very close to the multi-model consensus TVCA. Both the deterministic and consensus tracks have shown the usual variability to the right or to the left from run to run, but the overall trend is for the hurricane to turn northward offshore but dangerously close to the Florida peninsula. Given the uncertainty in the track forecast and the anticipated increase in size of the hurricane, a Hurricane Warning and Storm Surge Warning have been issued for a portion of the Florida east coast. It is once again emphasized that although the official track forecast does not show landfall, users should not focus on the exact track. A small deviation to the left of the track could bring the intense core of the hurricane its dangerous winds closer to or onto the Florida coast. Key Messages: 1. A prolonged period of catastrophic winds and storm surge will affect the Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama Island tonight. Everyone there should take immediate shelter and not venture into the eye. 2. Life-threatening storm surge and dangerous hurricane-force winds are expected along portions of the Florida east coast through mid-week, and storm surge and hurricane warnings are in effect. Only a slight deviation to the left of the official forecast would bring the core of Dorian near or over the Florida east coast. Residents should listen to advice given by local emergency officials. 3. There is an increasing likelihood of strong winds and dangerous storm surge along the coasts of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina later this week. Residents in these areas should continue to monitor the progress of Dorian and listen to advice given by local emergency officials. 4. Heavy rains, capable of producing life-threatening flash floods, are expected over northern portions of the Bahamas and coastal sections of the southeast and lower mid-Atlantic regions of the United States through late this week. Well, if it were me, I much prefer cleaning cat poo to cat pee. The poo dries and you can pick it up and vacuum it and deodorize. The pee smell stays around forever until you throw out the rug (and gradually eliminate all rugs in your house - just my experience!) Much easier to maintain hard floors.

I don’t clean any of it lol I can’t handle it I will get sick lol my sisters are ridiculous. They hate each other so it’s also only fitting that their pets hate each other. My dad cleans up after the both their pets and they are so lazy and don’t do anything so when he isn’t home and they have to do things it’s a huge deal. My little sister with the dog cleaned it. Imo it shouldn’t have been her lol I’m going back to VA tomorrow lol

Reddit was being harsh to them but they deserve it they need to grow up lol

I'm going to check this site out. I just realized our Disneyland trip is 2 months away and I know next to nothing about it!

Just know that DL is small, and it's super easy to walk from one park to the other, which means you don't have to plan it all out like you do when you're going to WDW. Enjoy the planning, but don't stress about it either. :)

We most likely won’t need the laundry but that’s good to know.

Our room is right above the lobby. She did a fantastic job giving us something right away since she knew we had the cats.

I just want to let you know that I'm really glad you're safely at WDW now. Add good choice with the room being in Jambo in case you won't be able to go outside at all.

Getting dd’s ears pierced at a local tattoo place. Trying to figure out which business card to use:) hope this goes better than the time I took her to get her eyebrows threaded!

Is it a cartilage piercing? My DD16 wants one of those but it makes me wince just thinking about it. I told her I’d let her get one, but it pretty much has to be right after volleyball season ends, so she’ll be able to remove the earring during sports stuff. But I wish she’d change her mind. :crazy2:

Have fun at Cedar Point! I love that place! It’s my favorite park after the Disney ones. I thought about going tomorrow too but DD has too much weekend homework. Enjoy!

No--ear lobe. She finally said a few weeks ago that she was ready and I gave her the choice of going to Claire's or a tattoo place. After we were done the piercer (who was very pierced and had huge gauges in his ears) told us she couldn't swim for four weeks. Um, she swims every weekday for two hours. Oops. He basically said, "Good luck with that." And I didn't realize you should tip the piercer (never been to a tattoo parlor before and I'm thinking I'll never go again!). The piercing was $25 (studs were another $25) and I gave him $5--I think I probably should have given him at least $10.

I have no clue what is going on with "my" current Bonvoy stay.

I booked a king room at Element for 2 nights, one FN and one on pts. Called and added my daughter to the reservation. She and her new wife are staying there, not so much me.

Element called me last night to make sure we were arriving as it was about 10:30. I told them we'd be there soon, the girls were a few minutes out.

This morning I got a cancellation notice from Element. Texted DD and she said there was an issue with the CC on file so she gave them hers.

This evening I got a reservation email for Aloft. It looks like they did not apply my FN, but have applied points for both nights. I'm fine either way as long as it's covered.

Then I got an email from Marriott about an eBonus. It looks like Aloft has given me 10K points.

It looks like they were moved from Element to Aloft right next door, I actually think they're the same building, which is fine I can't remember why I chose one over the other initially anyway. While my FN wasn't used, I came out ahead with some bonus points? I guess we find out tomorrow when they check out and everything is settled.

Was this the thread where people were comparing burger places a while back? I feel like I should eat at whataburger at the airport just because I never have :rotfl:
It's a Texas thing, or used to be. You should. It's not bad, but not my favorite mostly because they don't lettuce wrap. But the fries I love.

Well not all the lines....The fast pass lines have been known to have crazy *** lines sometimes too! Not sure if you're a top thrill dragster fan, but that is down, LOL.
