Your PC timing actually has no impact on CIP2. When was your last card? If it’s been 3 months you’re good.

February, which was the Sapphire MDD. I have been itching to get back in the game!

Do you get auto-approvals on Chase biz cards? If so, I would personally wait until 9/1 go apply just so you can go a month without paying the AF. Prolonging the inevitable, but if you apply today/tomorrow and get approved immediately I bet the AF would post 9/1.

I haven't, no. However, my CIP was my first-ever card so I think they took their time. I don't remember if I was auto-approved for my SW Biz, but I don't think so. Good thinking on the AF! I would like to delay paying that as long as possible. I will wait until Sunday to apply.

Thanks, y'all!

I could call I guess. I hate calling, but I probably should. Should I just call the resort line? My only thing is I want a resort that's all inside
You need to call anyways to ask about the cats. Disney does make special provisions for taking pets during hurricanes (believe it is required by law) but you need to know if this is for all resorts or just certain ones.

u shouldnt... just pay your utilities or rent with a credit card... :]
transfer money back to Bank account.

Shouldn't because it's better to pay with a credit card for the points, or for some other reason?

I was actually just using utilities and rent as examples of everyday bills, but actually our utilities are pre-paid at least through the end of the year, and we have a mortgage rather than rent -- but maybe I could pay the mortgage with the Serve card? (Mortgage company does not take credit cards.)

So, I am still on the fence about the Delta packages. I am leaning towards pulling the trigger but I need to transfer MR's to Delta. Is this transfer instant? I do not want to have MR's stuck in Delta and I missed the package deals!

It was instant when I did it for my parents (well, log out & log in) but as always ymmv. Personally I would wait for an official extension of the DL package offer in case something goes wonky.

Do they normally extend these package deals? I am so not familiar with anything from Delta.

Dang, go to dinner and Lowe's then catch up on my reading elsewhere and things go crazy.

My alarm's set for 3:50 am, oh how I miss midnight est fast pass days.
This! I had one trip under the old rules & it made FP seem so easy from CA. (I especially hated it last year when I found out split stays required TWO bookings!)

I called Disney and the CM I spoke with was great. I didn't book anything, but will make the decision tomorrow. Dh is asleep and I don't want to wake him up right now. They provide a Dorian rate, but the AP rates for 9/1-on are cheaper (which is pretty silly IMO). They will wave all pet fees, including cats, and parking fees. I just couldn't book a room without knowing how Dh feels. If we do go, we most likely will be staying at AKL because it's the cheapest with the AP rate from 9/1-9/4. I'm not sure if staying until Wednesday is long enough, but I don't think I would want to stay much past that. We would have to just book their "Dorian" rate for tomorrow night. I'm not waiting until Sunday because I think the roads will be even worse by then with traffic. She tried convincing me to take a room at Wilderness Lodge that had bunk beds and for 3 nights was gonna cost $1600..........um no lol

Glad you called and found out all of the relevant information!

I wish Dh was awake so we could make the decision now. I think the thing I'm most worried about with leaving is trying to get back home. I don't want to sit in traffic forever and run out of gas or something like that

My first and only with the 9pm pst fp's we stayed off site at a friends time share so I had 5 days of fps and had to do them one day at a time. Thank goodness it was early had it been at 4am for 4 days then an off day and then 1 more day I don't know what I would have done. We did universal after 4 at disney and then 1 more back before we left cause I know that off day would drive someone nuts not knowing 😂

@Haley R I would double check the mandatory evacuation for brevard county, they are talking about it on the weather channel and just said it's for low lying areas. Since you've said you aren't in a flood zone I'm guessing you aren't in the evac zone. They know there will be rain regardless of where it comes on land our whether it skirts the coast so this makes sense, but it doesn't seem to be the entire county.

You are doing all you can by getting prepared at home and weighing all the options. Do you think DH would be adverse to leaving? If you cannot get home right away I am sure WDW would work with you to extend. Once the main storm is gone it wouldn't be as important to have a completely interior lobby so there are a lot of options.

I think I would feel more comfortable with an interior lobby just in case so we aren't completely confined to our room. That way we could at least walk in the lobby to stretch our legs some and get away from the cats lol. They most likely will be howling like crazy. The bad part about staying longer would be making sure the cats have enough litter and food.

We literally just bought some frozen meals today because they were on sale. That was a dumb idea. I’m just worried Orlando won’t be much better. Hotels aren’t cheap either because fall deals don’t start until 9/1 and I’d want to get there by tomorrow
Your home owners insurance might cover the spoiled food. Personally, for right now, I’d chalk that up to First Year FL Homeowner mistake. (I would have done the same thing had I been in your shoes, don’t beat yourself up too much over it.)
