Credit unions do handle mortgages. It’s probably flagged as such.

You can chat with a Plastiq rep during regular business hours and tell them you’re trying to pay a student loan (not a mortgage) with a Visa and they should be able to help push it through.

Thanks! I re-added it and made sure to select student loans (for whatever reason it autoadded it oreviously as mortgage and since it was last paid with an MC it wasn’t caught). It gave me a “hey visa doesnt allow mortgage payments but if this isn’t that you can proceed” message and let me submit it this time. I wonder if I should chat tomorrow to see if they want proof so it doesn’t get flagged.

Just switched our August 2020 Disney cruise to Alaska! Looking forward to exploring Seattle and seeing Alaska again. I figure I can use my two $300 Marriott gift cards for the first two nights in Seattle. Hoping my 70k aa miles will cover a night in Vancouver and one in Seattle on the way back. Will be flying bwi to Seattle on swa with points and companion pass. And maybe we can catch a mariners game in Seattle.
Which dates? We are on the Aug 17 one!

I probably wouldn’t chat unless the payment gets held for review or declined. It’s not a prohibited payment, but I always err against “calling the bank” if you don’t have to.

@DisneyMandC i believe it was you that asked about the snack credits. We have traded in many snack credits, this past March on our last day I cashed in 70 snack credits and 3 qs meals for 9 snacks. Filled a suitcase with rice krispy treats. We have also used qs meal at the f&w booths as 3 snacks.

Great to know, thank you! I was reading another F&W menu tonight and salivating. Since I’ve never done F&W, can anyone tell me if they have some additional seating set up in WS? We want to snack through the World for dinner one night, but my FIL is disabled and needs to sit down with an actual table in order to eat. I’m wondering if we should grab a bunch of little things and then head somewhere like whatever the restaurant is in america with a ton of tables and camp out there to eat.

Not really. There's a reason they sell the tray with the glass holder and that people talk about mats for on top of trash cans :)

I don't read a lot of T&C (I know, I know....) so it says "cancel any time" and then it says "no refunds or credits for partial months or years" which to me says "once we have your money you're out of luck."

Also, what happens if the card I pay for this with (probably CIP#2 since that's what I am currently working on) doesn't exist in 3 years???

Edited: I went to the disney+ site and they list things like Marvel and Star Wars but no specific show/movie lists. Some of the Marvel stuff looks interesting!!!

I think I'm gonna do it. All I have to do is figure out how it integrates with our "smart" TV and such... my husband is the techie one so I guess it'll be on him!
In regards to the cancel any time but no refunds, in general for streaming services you can cancel your subscription at any point during the period, BUT you've paid upfront for that period of time and so you have the service until the end of the period - hence no partial refunds. So if I subscribe for 1 month today, and then cancel tomorrow, my subscription will be valid for ~29 days from now and then just not renew for the next month.

In that case, it seemed to me like you were paying for 3 years all at once, upfront, so it wouldn't matter if your card existed in 3 years. Someone who has actually looked at the offering, please correct me if I'm wrong! But I haven't really seen a streaming service contract like that. If in 3 years when it tries to renew and the card is declined, you probably get notified and/or automatically paused or cancelled then.

Thanks; will look up that info. I want to know that they're going to have what I want to see before I get locked into a contract.

Having said that, my husband thinks we should just do a month to month in case they drastically change or reduce their offerings so that we aren't stuck with something we no longer want. It seems this is what happens or can happen with Netflix, for example.

My kids are big on Star Wars and I'd love to have (most) of the Marvel movies as well as Agents of SHIELD.
I thought the idea was that they will have all Disney movies (including Star Wars/Marvel) plus some new programming. All Disney programming will be pulled from other services. Maybe that has changed or I misunderstood. There is speculation that Hulu will include Disney programming or add it for an upcharge as Disney owns 67% of Hulu.

I'd do the latter. I never noticed any additional seating or tables, we mainly used our laps and found benches or walls to lean on. We have staked out a bench before when it was getting close to closing. I had hubby hang out while I mad dashed to the last couple of booths we hadn't hit before they closed up for Illuminations. It was an interesting balancing act bringing it all back but we had a little mini feast while watching the show :)

You might want to scout around for a couple places around the world that may have a table and then form mini raiding parties at each one for the nearby booths. I think around France there were little bistro tables maybe? I thought in between Canada and UK there was an area for QS. Mexico at one point had some too but I don't recall if they were still there during our last F&W - which was 2016, so little fuzzy on geography.

I had a car payment flagged as a mortgage. I chatted with them and it was fixed within a few minutes. I never got the message to proceed if it wasn't a mortgage payment.

I've been alternating between CIP and Citi AA and am ready to make a big travel booking through the Chase portal, so it seems like next month is the time to get the CSR. And since I'm doing that, I think I'll go for the MDD.

I'm currently 2/24; CIP 1 was in March, CIP 2 in June. Only other Chase card is a CF from 2007. If it works, I'll probably take a crack at funding a Great Southern account to help with the MSR, but even if that fails I can hit the $8k spend organically. And I'd still end up 4/24, so I'd have some flexibility if CIP keeps on giving into 2020.

Anyone care to weigh in on this idea? And if I go for it, is the idea that I'll apply for CSR first (since that's the more important one for me) and then apply for CSP the day AFTER approval--do I have that right? Am I better off applying early in the week so I am less likely to get tripped up by a weekend, or is that over thinking it? What am I overlooking?

Your pacing looks great to me!

It was my carryon item lol. I put it in the box in the overhead bin and it was fine lol. When I went through security the TSA agent looked in the box, but I didn't have to take it apart or anything.
So DD8 and DD10 took them as carryons through TSA at MCO in their flimsy white cardboard boxes. When they went through the conveyer belt the guy scanning them started whistling like R2-D2. It was pretty amazing lol.

I have not seen it mentioned anywhere (so maybe it is not that great of a deal) but both DH and I got an email yesterday on our Bonvoy Brilliant. It said “Happy Anniversary!” And then spend $25 on “eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels” and get a $25 statement credit. What do you all think?

I told DH about it. Said “maybe it is a sign we should go somewhere this long weekend for a little road trip.” (I also have on one card the spend $200 save $40 offer). He then stated “but what if we are Bonvoyed!” He was actually quite proud of himself. “Bonvoyed” was accompanied by a smile and a ”see I listen!”
