I'm way behind and out of the loop a bit even on reddit, are statement credits showing up on 1099s?
nope, just referral bonuses.
If you spend Y to get X, its not taxable cuz its a rebate!!

Yes...they gave me those credits when I called for a retention offer
@palhockeymomof2 reported Statement credits being on the 1099 for her SW Annual fee “retention credits”.I'm way behind and out of the loop a bit even on reddit, are statement credits showing up on 1099s?
Then I could see how those could be counted more like referrals, i.e. "earned income" vs signup bonuses as "rebates" IF you received the retention offer without agreeing to additional spend. BUT if you had to meet some min. spend then I would think it's more of a rebate.
No support for CIC, correct? Planning on applying soon.
There is a targeted amex offer for $10 off $25 at grubhub. I didn't have it on my account but dd had it on her au rose gold card.
LOL-a friend of mine did my epidural and he was so dreamy (kid you not) that I didn't want to speak up and tell him it wasn't working on half my body. Life lesson: don't let a super cute longtime crush do your epidural. So I've had the experience of with/without for childbirth and have an only child
You beat me to it! I have it on my gold too, so happy Monday morning to me! I looked at the St Regis offer but since it wasn't on my SPG Lux didn't add it. I'm getting greedy, wanting as many benefits as possible.
Looked in my informed delivery and there is a 20% off everything coupon for BBB. Haven't gotten one of those in forever. And then I realized it was not in my name but had my younger daughter's name on it. I'll still be using it when I need to.

Don't tell AMEX... they'll start adding the retention bonus points with no spend.my guess is retention bonus is used to offset the AF. People call in usually to cancel because they dont want to pay the AF. Therefore, retention bonus would be used to offset that.
but i do see this in a very grey area.
edit: i guess im wrong... it does show up. :\

I just read about Juicy Miles on FM. Sounds like it would be a great tool for those trying to figure out award trips...but very pricey!
correct.
edit: also would suggest removing that word since disboards dont allow it.
edit2: bolded ^^
Residence Inn is fabulous. We did a 2 bedroom there before our cruise.I know this has come up before... any recommendations for a hotel near Port Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center? Bonus points if it is a Starriott I can use a 35k cert at.
Currently looking at Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach (top just because I can do 1bdrm suites with the certs), Courtyard Cocoa Beach, Fairfield Titusville, Towneplace Suites Titusville, and Four Points Cocoa Beach.
We're just staying one night, will be doing KSC both days 6pm so also bonus points for good dinner recommendations for people who mostly don't eat seafood.
