Those of you that use raise 5% off code fireworks

For those that fly out of DCA, where do you typically park? It was a lot cheaper to flight out of there than BWI for my girls getaway but, of course, I have no idea about the airport since it’s a 2 hr drive. We have 6:40 am flight so it will be very early morning for me.
I used way dot com here’s the one we are doing in December for our universal trip. They price match so if you find it cheaper on another site contact them. I got ours for $6 a day Bc of the price match. They don’t refund you the difference until after your trip but yours is sooner than mine.
Holiday Inn Crystal City DCA Airport Parking
Parking Lot AddressJefferson Davis Highway , 2650 Jefferson Davis Highway , Alexandria , Virginia , United States , 22301
ETA I’ve heard good reviews of this one plus their free shuttle runs 4:20 am-1am

Oh...what was it that caused problems with self referring? So the 3 months in between is right for timing, correct? Should I keep using it for everyday spend so they don't get mad and deny my next card? I'm concerned b/c I want to use my other cards now that I hit MSR...(that was fast for me!)
3 months is the correct timing....
Chase does not deny cards based on everyday spend like Amex does so you can use whatever cards you would like......Chase seems to look at the total credit limit on both business and personal cards that they have given you....if you are approaching 50% of household income or around $75k total you may want to reduce them prior to applying for a new card

Chase is not spend sensitive like AmEx so you can put it in your sock drawer.

Thanks for the advice y'all..... I chatted with Amex twice yesterday and lowered all CL to a decent amount.... between P2 and I it was ridiculous! Like over 12k on EACH card? one rep was a lot more efficient than the other..I did it twice, once as me,once as DH lol. also got the late fee removed from that card I mentioned last week via chat so nice and easy! Now to decide if I keep the Hh biz or cancel. I don't think anyone here weighed in, but I don't see a reason to keep it and pay the AF.(got all the hilton cards back when they were like candy)

I see I have one of the mailers for $99 Cabana Bay rates in my Informed Delivery today. Too bad I can't give that to someone here to use! I see my Serve card is also coming today! Might try to get over to Staples and pick up the fee free $200 VGC tomorrow.

Also, I cancelled my Hilton Biz and now have a -$95 balance. Do I need to do anything specific to get that back, or will Amex eventually contact me about moving the credit to my Bonbon Biz or sending a check?

I plan to cancel my Hilton Biz but that's not until next year since I just got it in May.

The only argument to keep it would be if you want to get more AMEX cards. There are varying DPS of the dreaded pop up but one theory is that Amex doesn’t like it when you cancel too many cards. Hard to predict if it would affect you or not

Me too:) I was wanting to go even though we are headed to Michigan in August and 3 days/2 nights at RPR in December. Just love CB.

We are actually doing CB for the first time in Aug. It's the most convenient location to VB since you can walk to the park from the hotel. It is in the hotel's backyard. If you are going there, I'd definitely select it over SF for the convenience.

There are varying data points on luggage transfer. I think they typically offer to shuttle you over to the resort with your belongings and then you just tip the driver. But I have seen DPs of them saying they would have your luggage to the new resort by 4 pm (which check-in time) and then you would just pick it up.

We have never actually done a split stay.

Have a terrific time! Hopefully Hagrid's running better. I'll be back to US at the end of the month and again in mid Aug.
We LOVED CB. Walking to VB was awesome and the food court was really good. I also loved the gym. I think that ruined Disney values for me.
My teen's choir stayed at CB - she said it was really nice, the hotel room was a little smaller than the Disney value they stayed at last time, but the hotel was nicer. Said the bus to the park was easy too. They waited 2 hours for Hagrid's MB- didn't do anything strategic and just got in line in the afternoon - said it was worth it and the queue was really cool.

I talked to DH and we are doing a split stay - 2 nights at RPR, then 2 nights at Sapphire Falls. After 2 days of more intense touring with the EP, I'm thinking our last day we will just hang at the pool and maybe go to the parks in the evening, so we should be fine without the EP.

My UR stash is pretty much gone now, between this trip and paying for our hotel in Portugal for Spring Break. Will need another CIP to cover our park passes- should have time to get that done. SW flights are looking kinda ugly, but I think it probably makes sense to go ahead and book them now - they will probably only get worse.

Good idea with SW, especially since you get points back if the price goes down!

We are planning to go back sometime over the winter, but already got that Marriott deal for $199 for four nights at Vistana Villages or whatever it's called. I'm waiting for Jetblue to open availability through February to try to decide if I want to go in Jan or Feb.

Awesome! I think we will do the first 4 nights at HRH to hit the parks and do HHN and then our last full day hit the water park. Do we need a whole day there? We can easily take an Uber and leave our luggage with the bellman

Oh good! It looks really neat and the prices are amazing!

We did two mornings at VB (were there 7 days with 3 park p-t-p tickets). Got there when they opened. I couldn't do a whole day there but I get bored easily. But if you don't get there early and the lines are long you might want to be there for most of a day.

No points on this trip - paid for by luv vouchers and gift cards (Amex travel benefit $$$) so if we get travel bank $$ back, it may expire before we get to use it. Of course, the vouchers have an expiration date anyway, and I don't have any other SW travel planned, so its sort of 6 of one, half dozen of the other. So much easier when you're booking on points...

Question for all you Southwest experts: My DD is flying to Aruba, we have the tickets booked through SW, but she is now having to change the dates due to another commitment that she cannot get out of. Anyway, we have to change the first leg of her flight and there are not any Wanna Get Away fares left for the date we need for her.

Do the Wanna Get Away fares ever come back once they are gone? The flight is still over a month and a half away, and I will be checking daily (probably multiple times lol), but just wondered if I'm dreaming!

Thanks!

When are you and DH going?

I think they have an early access too right? I’m not a big water park fan but my kiddos are so I’ll sit in the shade or at a tiki bar! The first day at CB we would still have EPs from HRH so we could head back to the park if we really wanted to

They do indeed to VB. I have my friend's children loved it and were there from open to close. That definitely would not be my family since we typically like a break (ok, DH likes a break since he is not much into the parks.)
