Your dad may have had it and not known. I was exposed as a 6 month old infant and my parents were told my case was so mild I’d surely get it again. I never did. Turns out my immunity is fine

Did she have to get revaccinated? We were required to if titers were not adequate. Turns out all mine were fine, including for the chicken pox I got but the doctor thought wasn’t enough for immunity. OTOH I have been vaccinated for Hep B multiple times yet still show no immunity. It may be her immune system.

But @striker1064 caught chickenpox ‘in the wild’ and still got shingles as a young person, if I understand correctly. So the opposite of your theory.

We will be there 2nd week in June. I booked Courtyard on Harbor but waiting for the Fairfield to open award nights and will switch for less points.
Ha ha.. I thought this was Lains post..😂😂😂😂 my bad.

For those wondering how long cheaper APs lasted I saw the APs are no more at Sam’s and have gone up in price at AAA. Theme Park thread says they disappeared from Sam’s yesterday and went up in price at AAA. Everything was apparently supposed to change 7/1 so maybe it wasn’t that the companies had supplies of old stock APs to sell as much as some sort of contract where the price with Disney wouldn’t change until a certain date.

So when you book through the AMEX travel portal but pay cash for a hotel, is it still considered a third party booking?

Anything that isn't directly booked by the rez holder with the hotel or airline etc is 3rd party. Doesn't matter how it's paid.

Thank you AmEx for being slow to process on Dosh. Just got $6 for my Staples trip on Sunday. I split payment between two AmExs and one popped up fairly quickly but then saw nothing for the other and thought I missed out on the full $5. Well, notice of 3 bucks for the missing transaction is pending now so I beat the system

A buck is a buck.

I think @SouthFayetteFan has given up trying to maintain any semblance of order on r/churning and started full-on trolling. Welcome to the Purge!

I have a pretty ambitious itinerary that I’d like to run by you before I book our flights in three weeks. We are flying into San Diego, Amtrak to Anaheim, bus to Vegas then flying Vegas to San Francisco. Finally flying home to Philly. Points will make the flights free.

Thoughts on my plan? Two nights in each town except three nights in San Francisco.

How are people closing their Citi AA Biz cards? I need to close mine from last year. Do I have to call or is there a SM/Chat to close?
I closed mine and DHs via chat......for mine the CSR closed it with no issues
For DH...the first CSR told him..aka me that he had to call....sooo I closed out of that and later on asked again via chat and they closed it :confused3

BIL has a good update today. Therapists were very impressed with how he was doing in sessions today and it was much better than at the hospital this weekend. They switched him from pureed foods to small solids. He is also allowed to go on outings so ILs are going to take him somewhere tomorrow. They said he is upset over what has happened but very motivated to recover. He could possibly be outpatient in two weeks.

ILs room is currently through Thursday so will need more plans there. Other BIL booked their current room at a Sheraton through AMEX travel portal and was planning to just cover it but it sounds like MIL went down and switched the payment to her card. Shes stubborn

I can help with the SF leg of your trip.

This is for next July? What days will you be here (don't need to specify dates)?

You have a Plat, right? There are Centurion Lounges at LAS and SFO (Terminal 3, so United). What airline are you flying from LAS>SFO and then SFO>PHL? Not sure if the cardmember+2 guests limit will be sufficient. Priority Pass through Amex cards will be practically useless then because the only lounge option is in the International Terminal.

What time are you arriving from LAS? Leaving SF? You're planning to take BART to/from the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, right?

I think you can squeeze in a lot in 2-3 days.

Vegas local here...

What kinds of things were you looking to do?

We will only be there 2.5 days, so mainly food, shows (lain and others have mentioned the Cirque shows as must dos), and any landmarks? Looks like we may we staying at Bellagio, so that would check off the fountains, if so :)

@platamama also, going to Vegas here :wave2: did you ever get an answer to your question about Chase Luxury bookings and Casears Diamond? I would be curious about the same, but scanning through I don't think I saw an answer yet?

Sometimes the Chase cards and URs are fickle and don't like to transfer. Say you get a CIP and you want to move your points to your husbands CIP. No problem. Your CIP transfers to his CIP and all is good. Say you add a third UR card in there and you still want it all on your husbands CIP, but it wont directly transfer there. You need to transfer that 3rd UR card's points to your CIP, then from your CIP to your husband's CIP. Basically the new card should transfer to the last card on the "chain." Right now I have CIP2 > CIP1 > CSP > CSR. When I go for CIP3, I will transfer the points 4x to get them where I ultimately want them CIP3 > CIP2 > CIP1 > CSP > CSR.
Thanks for explaining how that works.

Sometimes the Chase site won't let you link to another card due to a technical error. It's nothing anyone does wrong, just sometimes if a card is already linked to another card, trying to link to the first one from a third one fails. The work around is daisy chaining so that Card 3 sends to Card 2 (which is already linked to Card 1 and can send without issue) and then send from Card 2 to Card 1. It's usually faster than trying to fix the error that prevented it in the first place.
I get it now, thank you!

Time to have DH apply for Hilton Biz since the next tuition payment is coming soon. Is better to go through my Biz Gold for the 20k MRs, through my Hilton Biz or a dummy booking for the $100 credit? Thoughts?

End of June/beginning of July. 10 day trip. We fly out on a Sunday and return on Tuesday of the next week. We are doing Disneyland mid week, Wednesday and Thursday to avoid crowds. I have the Platinum and DH and DD are my authorized users so we all have access. Plan to arrive in LV mid day. Looking at Flix bus or Megabus. San Diego we will be enjoying the Hotel Del and the Zoo. San Francisco is Muir Woods and Yosemite. And Vegas we plan to attend comic con.
Looking at AA and Alaska if my miles don’t cover everything. Yes Bart and uber in SF.

Can you cancel and reorder?

@Alexle2007 - I'd just reorder the same items in a second order after clicking through Ebates, and return the first order.

Returning the first order would (likely) trigger a clawback of the $50 Saks credit, but you shouldn't have a problem ultimately getting the credit if there's another qualifying order to reimburse.
