@tink1970 I absolutely agree about the SPG emails...so obnoxious and it put me in the worst mood first thing this morning. In fact a coworker came in and I started exclaiming to her what a stupid name it is and what an asinine email. She asked if it was a Disney thing and for once not! It was only her new lanyard that has Snoopy eating sushi that snapped me out of it. I am a Disney girl but I do enjoy Snoopy.

@speedyfishy sorry about the denied bonus. At least it is just on BBP. Did you still get the referral bonus at least? More and more I am getting #donewithamex. I need to get some new plans. We don’t even have a MSR right now and Amex big part of that.

@disneymagicgirl sorry about the trip. Agree on MDE/app it was especially bad on my iPhone. Half the time it would not even log in.

Omg that’s what’s happening with mine! I have an iPhone and it just stays loading forever trying to sign me in. Works perfectly fine on dh’s samsung

They said it was "declined because of the welcome bonus history" didn't say abuse or anything.

My Amex Gold bonus was denied for the same reason. Kinda peeved!

Folks thought they could do the same with the Saks credit. Buy something to trigger the credit, return item, keep the credit, but here Amex is clawing back credits issued for purchases returned 6 months ago. I wouldn’t count on this to be beyond the grasp of Amex RATs’ claws.

Definitely. I figure, there are so many loopholes we (or maybe just me) exploit in this - buying AA GCs for airline credits, cashing out resort credits, etc - and it's all a gamble. It could stop working at any time. I do all of it with that full knowledge.

Yay, my "DD" from my CU triggered the Wells Fargo bonus! I was getting nervous but it was there this morning when I checked. Now to trigger the deposit for the next 6 months.

Now to figure out my next bank bonus since I can't seem to get PNC to work for me or DH I was planning on using the deposit to meet my Arrival + spend so now to figure out another route.

Yay, my DD from my CU triggered the Wells Fargo bonus! I was getting nervous but it was there this morning when I checked. Now to trigger the deposit for the next 6 months.

Now to figure out my next bank bonus since I can't seem to get PNC to work for me or DH I was planning on using the deposit to meet my Arrival + spend so now to figure out another route.

You and me both. DW and I have tried multiple times to open PNC - first online, even in branch - and they will not approve me for an account, period. It's really annoying, since it's one of the few truly churnable bank bonuses, and of course the CC funding. Sadly, I've given up on it.

These come a few ways. Occasionally they come in the mail.

Under your Amex account, go to Offers, and filter by Featured on MR charge cards. Sometimes it will show up there. You can also try paying an MR charge card off early (before statement close). On the submitted payment confirmation page, there might be a small box advertising a Pay Over Time offer.

Awesome thanks for all the tips. Didn’t know toothsome had characters.

They go with the storyline of the restaurant. Each time they've been great, dont miss a table, may stop a couple times depending on how busy it is. Last time we were at the top of the stairs to the 2nd floor so everytime they came up they made a comment even of they didnt stop that time. They are pretty funny!

Getting excited about our trip next week - I think we are stuck eating at both the HP restaurants, whether they are good, bad or indifferent. I don't have high expectations for the food, but my HP obsessed kid will enjoy them no matter what. I'm planning to do Toothsome for dinner one night, just for the novelty of it (LO's head will explode just seeing some of the milkshake options - if there are characters, so much the better). Not sure what we will do for breakfast (probably sbux), and I'm planning to grab something quick for lunch one of the days (on the way back to the hotel for a break) probably from Bread Box. I know that our 2 days at USO will be way more expensive than Disney - we aren't usually big souvenir people, but I fully expect to pick up a fair amount of HP swag (including, of course, a wand for the LO!)

I'm a little bummed that I won't get to do any Disney parks this trip - I just can't justify the cost of a ticket for the tiny amount of time I would have in the parks. DH and LO are doing a day at MK. I'm the planner in the family, so we will see how DH does without my tour guide services. I've made fps for them, and they are having lunch at Skipper Canteen (we love that place - a nice calm table service break in the middle of our park day). I'm the queen of 4th + fastpasses, so we rarely wait in lines (helps that we are there with a LO who enjoys the non-headliners), so DH will need to up his Disney App game (or not - maybe he will just take her to Tom Sawyer Island and let her run around - she'd like that too).

I know that the consensus is that it isn't necessary to have a touring plan for USO, but I have planned out the areas I want to hit during our 2 days there (spreadsheet and all). Not down to the minute, but I have a planned "route" for each part of the 2 days. A big chunk of our time will be in the HP areas (both day and night), but we will check out the other kiddie stuff too.

I don't seem to have it. I will try paying the card off early and see if it pops up. It's an easy 10,000 points if I can get it.

Also a follow up question if you enroll in pay over time for amex. Can you cancel it at some point? I really do not feel comfortable with this for the long term.
