@marsh0013 is going through the same thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/DISchurners/comments/aj6vx6/news_discussion_thread/eo4exbu/
Thanks @Lain ! I didn’t make the Barclays connection with Jet Blue but remember reading that.
@marsh0013 any update?
Quick question. Is it important to have your biz cards’ limits lowered in the same way the personal cards are...to keep it under a certain % of income?
SO and I will be spending our first wedding anniversary on an ABD!!! we are doing the backstage magic one. I have a year and a half to save about 6k from credit card bonuses/msing/bank bonuses. I think I can do it lol I kinda want to do one of these every year. I know a bunch of you guys have done these. does anyone have any suggestions for what we should do for 2021?
On that note, I pulled up the Rothy's pair I really love to show DH yesterday and saw that they are retiring, so I'm probably out of luck on them restocking my size![]()
You expect more out of one of the nation’s 25 largest banks?? Hahaha! Yeah - it is BAD!!WOW.
I mean, I've seen everyone talk about how bad it is, but nothing really prepares you.
And guess what... when I call the number to activate my employee card... it doesn't recognize the info I enteredYou expect more out of one of the nation’s 25 largest banks?? Hahaha! Yeah - it is BAD!!

I am following your story closely as I just received my JetBlue biz. I already have an aviator biz. I successfully activated and made a few purchases, but who knows what will happen. When did you notice you couldn’t use the card?Sorry for not coming back to update. I usually DIS on my phone and will all the issues with the redirects, I haven't been on as much. We're in Omaha visiting family for the week, but I brought my laptop, which is what I'm using now. But we're about to head out for the day and won't be back with my laptop for a while. So if there's any other questions, it will be a bit before I can respond.
So I spoke to many different people. The first set told me to fax in my documents. They mentioned documents of incorporation or taxes. I asked if personal taxes would be sufficient since I'm sole prop and have no incorporation. Nobody could give me a straight answer. So I faxed in my personal taxes. Called in to see if that was good. Then was told I wasn't supposed to fax, but I was supposed to email them. So like an idiot, I went ahead and emailed them. Really kicking myself here as I know email is not secure. I should have just told them to cancel my card at that point, not really sure what I was thinking. Anyway, I called back to see if that was sufficient and was told the investigation would take some time. So I'm sure this is all pointless, but who knows. I asked if they'll call my cell and was told they'll call or send a letter. Honestly I'm expecting them to tell me I'm not a business. I guess then they'll close my account? It's still open, I can log in to my account online, or at least I could a few days ago, I should check again.
So seriously frustrating to be approved and then asked for documents after the fact. And I don't know if this is going to affect my ability to get a different Barclay card, say the personal Jetblue card, since I was "approved" for the business card so recently.
I should add that if you plan to just churn through Chase biz cards, like many on Reddit, they’ll lower their Chase biz card CLs down to like $500 or $1000 after meeting MSR, and keep applying for Chase biz cards as long as Chase keeps approving them, and end up with like 5 or 6 open Chase biz cards. If you plan to move slower and actually use these cards, like the CIC’s 5x at office supply stores, or PC a CIP to a CIC or CIU eventually (vs. applying for the CIC/CIU directly for their SUBs), then you might want to keep a CL of about $5k, or have enough CLs on other Chase biz cards to move over to the card you want to use or PC.

The card number is not recognized. At least I put in an $800 payment to plastiq's with DHs and got the processed email from Plastiq right away.

I drugged them this morning and one of the cats refused to eat all of his. I don’t think he even ate half. I’m gonna take them on a ride in about 30 minutes so we’ll see how it goesOh goodness, no I wouldn’t listen to hours of that either. I’d totally drug them lol!
I’m always reading here, trying to keep up. But by the time I catch up I’ve run out of time to post. Got a terrible sinus headache today and it’s slowing me down from normal activities. Nice to see @hulagirl back to posting. I remember your posts last fall because you’re a great writer! You’re not a freelance writer are you? (Good small business for biz cards I bet!)
Was yours the actual biz owner card? Or the employee card? Just curious.I had a problem getting my card activated too. I can't remember what ultimately happened, but I know I had to talk to someone. Everyone I spoke to at Barclays was incredibly rude. The first person I talked to couldn't find my account at all and when I finally mentioned AGAIN that it was a business card she snippily said "this is the personal line, you need to talk to someone in the business section." Ma'am, I just pressed the buttons and you were the one who answered...![]()
