@Lain is right about it seeming really variable. I also got the pop up for DH when tried to get Gold in December. I did not put any spend on his Delta personal which he had forever but did start putting between a couple hundred to $1000 on his 2 other cards. (Delta Biz and an upgraded personal SPG to Lux). I did that for maybe 3 months and then tried again for the BBP. Approved with no pop up and bonus posted without issue. So I don’t think it needs to be a huge dollar amount; seems to me at least some consistent spend.
Thanks!! I’m going to try and imitate my spend for 2 months before he got the BBP in Feb. hope it works!!

Well that Plastiq mortgage payment was easy - PNC didn't apply it correctly so I did have to make a quick 15 min. phone call to get that straightened out. I wanted that one handled before I did it again so I'm on step two of my plan to make the 2nd $500 pmt for $0 in fees. Just completed that now :)

My Citi AA Biz #2 is now down to just $1k left in MSR!

Overall I'm impressed with how Plastiq works. I have VERY limited use for it as my mortgage could be gone by the end of the year. Do you think I could use it to payoff a HELOC? I seem to recall reading about people doing this. I could just borrow $2k on my HELOC, immediately pay it off with an AA Biz, And pay < $3 interest and $50 in Plastiq fee for my 40k AA miles (hopefully 60k after the match)...

Am I thinking this correctly - I’ve got 2 mortgages total over $4k. My best bet would be to apply for the Citi AA biz with the 70k SUB with $4k spend right? Then no worries about trying to match.

Any recommendations on carry on size luggage for a 7 year old? I want to get my son one for his birthday but there are no designs I like for him on Pottery Barn Kids (he’s not YET a Star Wars fan). We would use it for weekend road trips and he’d take it as his bag for our trip this summer. He will be responsible for handling it. I know it was discussed before but I’m getting nowhere with the search.

Oh, the pain of an Amex MSR.... How quickly I forget. Just went to pay for one of my kid's activities - nope, they don't take amex. :badpc:

I know the feeling. Just went to Costco yesterday armed with my Citi Biz card and ready to bang out the rest of my MSR. Get to the checkout with over 200 dollars worth of groceries only to be told they don’t accept Mastercards. I completely forgot they only take Visa. Saddest part about the whole thing was I was actually at Staples right before I went to Costco and yesterday was the start of the fee free $200 visa GC promo. Even worse, the reason I was at Staples was to use up the Chase offer I had on 3 of my cards, and the deal I was trying to do for it got screwed up so I lost out on the offer for 2 of my cards. Gah! Total fail yesterday for me.

Me and DH applied and auto approved for Citi Biz AA cards on Friday. Now today we both received a call stating "Citi", that there are some fraudulent activities on the card, so call them back with account number ready. We clearly still haven't received physical cards, and when I googled both numbers, I got mixed reviews. Some says it is scam, others say it is legit. Have anyone got a call like this immediately after being approved by Citi cards?

Yes I did. It was legit. There was no fraud; they just wanted to confirm I was the person who applied. I think its routine.

@wintotty - I'll also add that I ignored this call back in March and that's what caused my card to take almost 4 weeks to arrive. It was legit :) I would've returned the call sooner except they left a voicemail and it got buried amidst 3 other junk voicemails from that same day (UGH I hate junk calls!)

Yes, always.

I’ve also had trouble with Plastiq processing the MCGC when added to Plastiq directly. Adding it to Masterpass, then logging into Plastiq (if you have problems, go incognito) and adding the cards from Masterpass works.

Tks. Got that one done.

I was excited that TPs dropped the crowd levels for our week (8/13-8/21) but I'm not counting on those numbers being totally accurate. They have WDW levels ranging from 1-4 during our stay. It is right before SWGE opens so I wouldn't be surprised if the crowds are low but these numbers seem extremely low. I typically combine crowd calendars from WDW Prep, UT, KTP and TPs into a chart and try to average out the "best park" for each day. Just started doing this during our last couple of trips and it has worked well for us.
We are there 8/6-8/15 and our days dropped as well. I’m not terribly surprised. I actually expected them too because Aug has gotten slower and slower with more schools moving up their first day, a lot of people can’t travel. Our district was in the aug 20 range like 5 years ago and then bumped up a week and this year even an earlier week. I think my neighbor said her kids go back aug 5th this year!!

With swge opening later that month, many people will hold out. There is plenty of resort availability during our dates (hence, out came fd’ing!).

Southwest Schedule Release Update

I try to keep all my friends here up to speed on this. Southwest's next release was originally schedules for May 23rd. They subsequently pushed it back to May 29th. Now they have updated it yet again to June 20th!

We are currently accepting air reservations through November 2, 2019. On June 20, 2019 we will open our schedule for sale through January 5, 2020. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

I'd assume this has something to do with the Max 8 situation and trying to reach a resolution before releasing a schedule of flights for the holidays that they perhaps will need to alter later.

For those who are planning to fly Southwest no matter what during those busy months, this is probably a minor frustration. (It's not like anybody else is beating you to those flights). Unfortunately, for those hoping to price SW against other airlines, this is a pretty major delay. They could be faced to make a decision to go elsewhere as holiday travel plans need to be finalized.

Ugh, of course, that’s a hectic morning for us since we need to check-out of the Hyatt, pick the rental car and drive from Orlando to Clearwater Beach. Off to put a reminder on my calendar so I don’t forget since we need flights to Punta Cana for Christmas and Orlando for Thanksgiving.

Where can I drain my VGCs without needing to know the balance? I thought it would work at Walmart but they kicked out when I tried this morning.

citi biz? i notice a lot of my friends who first apply to citi is always verification.
Yep. Sounded like a denial but they said they were sending a letter so we’ll see. What kind of verification did they ask for with your friends?

Still catching up and I have 4 pages to go, but I'll say that I get a TP subscription when we go to WDW and it's always been really helpful.

We are the oddballs I guess. We've used TP's every single trip, including DLR, for 7 or 8 years and had fantastic results. We have even had friends subscribe in the last couple years (as recently as Dec 2018), use the TP and say it was 'eerily accurate'. We've always found the same to be true for our trips. The DIS has no love for TP's and lots of Josh. I think Josh had a lot of valid points but he was very rude to me which completely turned me off. I have seen him be rude to others. There is never a need for that. My dh & I have both contacted Len (from TP) and he was super nice and receptive. I do not think TP's is a scam :confused3

I don't have much experience with EasyWDW, but I do with TP and I think they do as good a job as they can considering how Disney can control the lines easily on any given day due to CMs and load capacity. They can't really know when they will pull back and have the rides running at 40%. I know someone who was there on a very low crowd day - and the crowds were not there but the lines were.

Having said this, I don't really use the crowd calendar days since we split for convenience and I'm not going to the MK when I'm staying at Epcot, nor would I go to DHS when staying on the monorail.

Which resort are you guys at now? I last remember a switch to Poly, but considering a BW villa or going to Swan/Dolphin?

If you're at Poly, I think you have the best chance of making 7DMT by 10:35am. ~90 DME ride and then you have 60 minutes to drop stuff will bell services, head towards monorail security, and make it to the ride. If you're at anything besides a MK resort I do not think it would be doable.

I would personally opt for the better flight time and do DAH for 7DMT. I think it would be a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience. I am fine on little to no sleep, but my family would be zombies and it would put a damper on arrival day and mostly likely the next day if they were still tired.

oh my never ending resort changing saga....lol. My poor DD19 has to deal with it b/c I have her checking discounts frequently for me. :rolleyes1

We are at Poly. I just discussed it with the boys and it seems we are sticking with that. I feel pretty confident we could make it as well. Only prob with DAH is DD3 and it is a 10-1am event. If we end up deciding on DAH I guess I will change our flights into TPA b/c they are much cheaper and 10am-noon which is a nice flight time.
Thanks for your opinion!
