Total enablers. I’d grab the CIP2 before that goes away. I know you need Hilton pts. You could get some visa or mc gift cards and push them through Best Buy for some more Disney $$ (for food and souvenirs)

Yeah I'm at least planning to only go for the 1k MSR Hilton card so that will help some. And DH has a couple horse shows planned, so those will take care of some. I will have $892 left to pay to Disney after my GC payment, plus I need to buy MNSSHP tickets.

Well it’s been 3 weeks and I’m 50 bucks away from finishing my cip#2 msr. Thanks federal income taxes and summer camp final payment,

Trying to think of my next step. Strongly considering the biz grAAvy train as we’re thinking about doing annual passes and making several Disney trips next year. And if Disney goes away, I live in philly and it’s an AA hub so I could just use the miles for actual flights.

I want to get a cic, but I need to wait a few months for more chase cards I think. Maybe July

Any other ideas besides aa? More amex biz? Something else?

I just want to point out to anyone lurking here that this is one of the best reasons to come out of lurkdom and share your ideas! Even though I've been churning for a year and a half, I wouldn't have thought to do what was suggested here by others!
ITA it def helps to list out your cards and your next couple of moves. Of course things can change on a dime but always have a Plan B! I was ready to bust out if 5/24 but with some sound advice and the recent ability to get mult chase and citi biz cards it just isn’t a needed plan right now!

I keep writing down plans but you guys keep changing them :rotfl2:

I think you’d be good for another Chase in June. Not sure about DPs for a CIP3 but that’s on my mind for July! Otherwise CIC is a great card

Since you are 3/24 you could get another personal or dip your hand in some MR cards with Amex. Or Hilton. Lots of options. I’d be eyeing the arrival plus too but I’d maybe wait until I get another chase biz

ETA: duh you have arrival plus! Maybe a venture but they pull all 3 bureas. I think I’d focus MR or hilton

June is 3 months from your last Chase card so you could go for the CIC, CIU

Amex business cards I have gotten are all no annual fee or annual fee waived the first year..BBP, Green, Plum,Delta....

I feel like maybe this reply would apply for me too. I may look into Hilton or the Arrival. With the Arrival, how do you redeem their miles? Are they good on any airline?

Can anyone who has been to London and Paris give some advice please.
Have a relative getting married in London but want to see some of Paris
and DisParis also.

Is it better to fly into London and take train to Paris for a few days or vice versa?
I don't really see any options for free stopovers or flying back from diff city as it is
expensive.

My initial thought was fly into London spend first night at airport hotel to catch up
oh sleep then take train to Paris next morning. After a few days train back to London
to sightsee/wedding next few days. Is this the most time/cost effective? 4 ppl going.

Thanks!

I'll start by saying that the taxes and fees are higher if you fly into LHR, so that can offset any savings, or at least that's what happens to me. If you book with points you can book 2 one-way flights without any upcharge. ;) I agree that if you are paying cash it's not a good deal.

As to which airport, I honestly think it depends on where you are flying from. We used to fly into London, but lately there's been a great AF flight from here to Paris (nonstop) that is beating the prices of the flights into London, whether I pay by points or cash. We use AMEX MRs to book the Air France flights (and the British Air flights) that we are taking. Things change often, since this AF flight wasn't really on my radar until recently and now my family has booked 3 trips for 2018-2019 to other parts of Europe using that flight. Are you doing points or cash? I used awardhacker to find points based flights and Google flights just to see what was out there.

We've taken the chunnel train before and it was fun, convenient and easy (much easier than flying).

Are you trying to book with cash or points?

Hmmm... maybe double dip in May with a Hilton and a CIP? I have to think about this... 5k MSR might be harder juggling other MSRs right now since now I’ve paid off my student loan and most of Disney. I will still have about $800 left to pay on disney after I do my $2000 gift card payment though.

You guys are enablers :rotfl2:

Total enablers. But I'm going to add to the "grab the CIP 2 while you can" group. 105K+ URs for one card is a pretty sweet deal. And it doesn't add to your number of accounts.

Super easy as long as it Codes as travel (flights will) you go back and “erase” the purchase. You need $100 min charge and put it in your card. Once it posts if you have enough miles it just clears the charge (or a portion if you want). It gives you 70k miles when you hit the MSR so you can erase $700 in travel charges. We used it at Universal and charged all our meals (and an upgrade to AP) to the room and cleared all the charges. We still have $100 left!!!
