I am really glad, that for once, we/I took the time to watch an entire parade. I liked this one, and I have the whole thing in my iTunes. But...when my friend Annie went in June and I was going through her pictures, I saw Flynn and Rapunzel in her pictures. I guess they were on the other side of the float from me

Before I continue, I noticed that one of my favorite pictures (and Disney photoshopped) pictures from the trip did not upload to Photobucket and therefore not in my previous update where it belongs.

We wanted a picture in front of the castle. I decided to go and ask a PhotoPass photographer litterally like 5 minutes before the parade started to take our picture. This turned out to be a good decision because Main Street is fairly empty.

Back to the regular timeline.

After the parade was over(ish) we followed the last of it down Main Street

We were heading to Adventureland to go meet one of my favorite Princesses!

Princess Pains​

Jasmine!!!! and Aladdin

We were the last ones on line before they cut it off. When the line was about halfway done, this father and little girl came up and he was upset that the line was closed. His daughter had the Princess autograph book, the one with the slots for the picture next to the autograph and he said that this was the last Princess she had to meet and they were leaving tomorrow. It looked like she was about to cry. Obviously my mom and I said that she could join the line with us. We let her go right before us. She was so cute

They were really great! My mom couldn't believe how long they interacted with us. Jasmine asked if the only male member of the other people was our palace guard. She also liked my hair (I had some streaks of pink and purple hair if anyone noticed by the very few pictures of me)

This was definitely a magical meeting ❤

I went into Agrabah Bazaar to buy a few more charms for my bracelet. Jasmine was one. We went and Rode The Magic Carpets of Aladdin next. It was a 20 minute wait and while we were on line, most of the other people decided they wanted some Turkey legs. I believe this was prompted by the 3 guys sitting next to the line eating them. I have a stalker picture from behind of them. But I didn't wanna be creepy and upload it. What would be more fitting would to go and scan the picture (that I don't know where it is) of my dad, brother, and brother-in-law chowing on their first turkey leg. But that would require too much work right now.

My mom, one of the other people and I were in one carpet, the girls were in the one in front of us. And I have way too many pictures of the back of their heads. They know me, and my photo habits. I don't know why they didn't turn around. I tried to get their attention...whatever...

I think we wandered into Agrabah Bazaar again after our magic carpet ride. I saw this.

I love giraffes. A lot. People know this. I DON'T KNOW WHY I did not buy this incredible $25 walking stick!! Wait, I do know why...because I was semi-interrogated with every purchase I made.

There were a lot of things I should have/wish I had bought, but I was like being judged every time.

After I didn't buy the coolest walking stick that I have no idea how I would have gotten it on the plane anyway, we went to go get some people some turkey legs.

All those pictures include the other people. Not worth my time to edit and upload. I was offered a bite. Almost took it until I saw it and remembered dark meat isn't my favorite. At least as far as turkey is concerned. And when it is a mammoth leg of is.

We started to make our way back towards Fantasyland because it was time to use our Peter Pan FPs

After, we went on Prince Charming's Regal Carousel. All 1.5 revolutions of it.

Followed by trying to pull the sword out of the stone. No dice.

Next we went into Castle Couture. That is a bad word combination for me

I wanted this skirt so badly. And I definitely would have fit into one of the larger kids sizes. Sigh.

2 of the other people decided to make the shortest of the bunch, try on a Princess dress. She tried on Cinderella, because I think that is her favorite Princess? So she did. Then the other 2 decided to put on dresses of their favorites, Belle and Snow White. It was only after they were all dressed up that one ran over to me and told me that they were trying on dresses and for me to put one on to take a picture. I was hurt by this seeing as they told me AFTER they were already dressed up. I said something about not being to able to fit into it or something. That was a lie. Even with all 5'6" of me (the rest of them are 4'11", 5'1" and 5'2") I would have definitely fit. I run, I am not a Pooh-sized person (and that term was stolen from the other Meg) I would be able to get into a larger kids size like I mentioned earlier.

Sorry not sorry but if anyone should be trying on Princess dressing in the Magic Kingdom it should be ME!

Anyway, we left and went over to try and find Rapunzel again. Line was closed. Again.

Important life decisions are made in the shower​

I don't remember where we were heading next, but we passed by the hub and the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party was going on!!!
I thought this was the best parade or whatever you wanna call it ever!!! We walked by just as all the floats were coming out, and we stayed for the while thing. Dale was on the float that stopped by where we were standing.

I have the entire song for this on my iTunes too, and I am obsessed. When we were invited to join in on the party, I ran out there so fast
It was so much fun! Especially the shake ya tail feathers, I have a great picture of me doing that too, but yet again...not my photo.
One of the other people also joined in on the fun, the rest of the others just stood on the side walk like lumps. During the part of the song that goes "Now put your hands up if it's your first time here" I ended up raising the one person's hand in the group who was visiting for their first time. I was like, are you for real...you can't even participate by raising your hand up?

After the party was over, we wandered back onto Main Street.

Hipster-ish Mickey

We went into the Main Street Emporium. I don't remember what I was looking for, but I must have been on a mission because I took off from the group in search of it. My mom was with the rest of the other people and she saw them all put on the bride and groom Mickey ears and took a picture. My mom got pissed at this because they couldn't wait for me. I know the Emporium is big but I couldn't have gotten that far away.

We still had a little time before the Magic, the Memories, and You and Wishes started, so we started to wander our way over to the hub again.

The other people were complaining about being cold again. One of them said "Whirlpool when we get back?". Whirlpool meaning the one in the master bedroom in our room. Mom and I exchanged a quick look at each other that said "YEAH, RIGHT". They stopped to get some $5 hot chocolates. Mom wanted some funnel cake again. So I decided to head off with her instead of staying with the group in search of some funnel cake. We started walking towards Liberty Square.

I made a good decision because I ran into another Princess.

Tiana was so adorable. Her accent was perfect. She asked where I was from and when I said New York, she was like oh no wonder I was wearing shorts, this weather is like summer to me.

Yes, yes it is.

After meeting Tiana, and mom got her funnel cake we went back to the hub. Mom was texting one of the other people to see where they were for the fireworks. We decided to find a spot on our own. We found a spot open on a bench. She then told me about that incident earlier in the Emporium about the ears because she was still really pissed off about it.

I really liked the Magic, the Memories, and You. Every thing they put on the castle is so pretty.

Wishes

I know we still had another hour of Magic Kingdom being opened, but for some reason we left. I think it was more of the other people's decision. I know the girls really wanted to go back to the resort around 6ish to warm up and then come back for fireworks. If they did that they literally would get back to OKW and have to turn around and head right back to the Magic Kingdom. I think they were all just cold and miserable. Mostly miserable..

I remember being on the bus and tweeting "I love being called a Princess" since a few CMs called me that. And hence my TR title

We got back to the room and every one ran right to their rooms. So much for the whirlpool

We got back and Duffy was on!

Mom and I would literally just stare at this channel all week between 6 and 10 waiting for Duffy to come on. They should just play this in a continuous loop like Stacy. Why does he only come on once an hour? I already knew his story but OMG how adorable is it?! Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really like Duffy. I think it is because I have the original Disney Bear from circa 2000. My mom bought me one. That was when they had a bunch of different colored fur. Guess he didn't do so well, and that's when Disney shipped him over to Hong Kong and repackaged the whole story and then Duffy came to be. I came down with the possibility of buying a Duffy, but I wanted my older 'Duffy' to get some clothes. Because there is nothing cuter than bear clothes.

For my cousin's baby shower, everyone also gave a book as a gift to add to AJ's library. I got him the Duffy story book and a baby Duffy so he will be all set to watch it when we go.

After I watched Duffy, I took a shower. And this is the shower were I made important life decisions. Well not really. Well yes really. I decided I was going to buy...

A Disney Dooney. I have had my eye on one print in particular since the early planning in August 2010. And I was just so overwhelmed with Disney emotion and love that I really wanted this. Also, it was less than the cost of the park tickets that I didn't have to buy because of my old one. So it almost bought itself, right? I also needed to buy a Duffy. Good thing we were going to Downtown Disney tomorrow.

I was texting my friend Annie again, and we were discussing tattoos, because I decided I need a Disney tattoo someday.

At some point when my mom was in the kitchen, one of the other people asked if she was mad at the group...and she said no. But mom has a bad poker face. So she was like, you know what? Yeah I am. And she told him that she was pissed about the ear hat incident in the Emporium. He claimed that there were only 4 hats....

Yeah, hookay. There were only 4 Mickey Ear hats. In the Magic Kingdom. On Main Street USA. In the Emporium. There were no more. Ok whatever you say.

Secret Shopper​

Today was our last full day in Disney

I got up early, and wanted to do some laundry. When one of the other people came downstairs, she asked
"Oh, you're doing laundry?"
Nope, just running the machine for fun.
When I said yeah, she said "Oh.." but the tone in her voice was like... Ew, why?


We were going to Downtown Disney today. The other people were going to DisneyQuest, I was going to drop some cash, then we were going to get lunch. I wasn't going to DisneyQuest because I only bought a one day water pass. If I had to buy my park ticket I would have been going too. I thought I would have been able to add more than one day to my old ticket, but that's not the way the cookie crumbled. No matter. I had important issues to attend to.

We walked to Hospitality because something of my mom's went missing at the pool earlier in the week.

I love you, I love you, I love you.

I love you so much, I got a canvas print of you done. Summer job perks.

We got a bus and headed to DTD. We got off at the Marketplace and walked all the way to West Side.

There was still a lot of time to kill before DisneyQuest opened. We looked in all the shops around the West Side. Mom also needed something so we made our way to the Hess station that was across the street. The girls also needed to buy laundry detergent because they wanted to do laundry. Oh, but when I do it, there is an issue. The 3 of them were trying to divide the cost of the $4.99 box detergent evenly between the 3 of them...and they were having some math trouble...

We headed back over to DisneyQuest. They went in and we said we would meet back up around 11ish to go to lunch.

Mom and I ventured off to the Marketplace. We went to World of Disney. I bought my beautiful Disney Dooney and Bourke. My first designer bag ever. I am in love. I have been obsessed with Mickey balloons for as long as I can remember so this is perfect.

I also bought a Duffy. Then I went over to Once Upon a Toy to get my Duffy some clothes because my mom made me. I got his sailor outfit, France, and Mexico. I really wanted the China outfit though. His little France outfit it too cute. Then I went over to Team Mickey to get my boss an ESPN hat. Then my mom decided to sign up for the Disney Visa credit card. We got the classic Mickey. We also picked the reward of a $50 Disney gift card because mom really wanted to buy the BIG Stitch. She visited him for a third time while I was buying my purse.

We headed back over to the West Side because the other people were almost finished. We went into one more shop and again, my mom convinced me to buy that Mickey Jackson shirt. Good influence mom. I had a lot of Disney Parks shopping bags with me when we met up with the other people. They all had a pissed off look on their face when they saw me. Um, not your money...
They asked what I got and I told them..almost everything.

We were going to Bongo's for lunch. A family friend who is also a DVC member recommended it. Let me tell you. Thank God he recommended it. It was AMAZING! If you don't know, Bongo's is a Cuban cafe that is owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. It was so good I couldn't even deal.

My mom ordered fried plantain chips for her (and me) and offered the other people A FEW. I checked something on my phone for a few minutes and the next thing I know, they were ALL GONE! I was upset because they were really good. My mom got a Cuban sandwich and I got a Cuban chicken sandwich. Both were amazing. I am still looking for a recipe that might resemble it. This was the best Cuban sandwich my mom has ever had. I HIGHLY recommend Bongo's.

The other people decided to be extremely obnoxious talking about their time in DisneyQuest. Funny, one of the other people told me earlier in the week that DisneyQuest sucks, but it sounded like he had a grand old time there...

After we paid (and no one offered my mom any money for the plantain chips that they ate) we continued to look in all the shops again.

We made our way back towards the Marketplace popping in shops along the way.

The only place in WDW where you will find Mulan and Pocahontas </3

Mom visited BIG Stitch again. And one of the other people gave her a nasty look. EXCUSE ME!

You are really not good at being sneaky​

Next, we went into Mickey's Pantry. I can't even handle all the cute Disney Kitchen stuff! As a baker, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, I wish my kitchen was this cute.

My mom was ogling (again) over this mickey mouse ears bowl. She was looking at it in one of the stores in the Contemporary as was talking about it a lot. One of the other people were like "Why don't you buy it?" and she said she really didn't have the money.
It was only $20, but none of the other people had a brain to be like oh why don't the 4 of us chip in FIVE dollars to buy her this bowl? You would think if they couldn't handle $20, $5 wouldn't be too bad. Wrong.

Our last store of the day was Disney's Days of Christmas. Which was a bad idea. Because it made me want to redo our entire supply of Christmas decorations.

We dropped off all my stuff in the room and headed back out to the Turtle Crawl

I HAD to get myself a Mickey ice cream. Obligatory.
The other people were suppose to buy me an ice cream since I paid more for our rented locker at Blizzard Beach. That never happened. -_-

I like don't understand how a simple cookies and cream ice cream sandwich can be SO delicious. The Disney difference. Really though, I was like, this is SO good I may just have another one for breakfast tomorrow.

We were attending the campfire (roasting marshmallows) later on, so we just hung out for a bit waiting for 6 o'clock.

When it was 6, we headed over to the campfire site. STEPHEN was hosting. Yay! We all grabbed a stick. We were told the instructions...like not to poke or hit people with the stick :lmao Before we could get a marshmallow, we had to sing a song. I WAS EXCITED! But the rest of the group moaned and wined so Stephen settled for a group song. He led it. We had to sing and dance to Green Grass Grows. It is a great song. After we successfully completed our song, we roasted some marshmallows.

It was chilly out again. We were going to watch the outdoor movie again tonight (The Lion King) but since it was cold and more importantly, windy, the movie was moved to the recreation room. Speaking of rec room, I really wanted to make a photo book from the arts and crafts things they had. But I had no cash on me. 2 of the other people were going to stay and watch The Lion King inside, while the other 2 people said they were going to go back to the room to finish laundry and started to take off. Mom and I said we were going back to the room too. While we were walking with the other people, one of them turns to her and says "Oh, you're going back to the room?" and when my mom said yeah, the other person had a disgusted look on her face. "Oh..."

There is NOT a doubt in our minds, that those other people were going back to the room, to go into MY MOM'S ROOM, and go through MY STUFF to see what I bought. Are you kidding me?!?

That night, we all packed up, did laundry, watched Phineas and Ferb. And for some reason...the other people decided to open and cook all the food we didn't eat during the week. I mean, mom and I wanted to see if any of our neighbors needed or wanted any food. The family right below us just started their stay. But one of the other people thought that was 'sketchy'. How? We have given our food to other families on plenty of other vacations. Side note, I hate wasting food and that is exactly what they did.

Later on that night, I also called Magical Express to check my luggage. I have never checked my bag like this before. So I followed the instructions and successfully checked my bag. I went outside to gather the other people to give them instructions and the phone number. I went into the laundry room to get 2 of the other people. When I asked if they could come out into the living room they were like "Why?" but really nasty. Um...to give you luggage checking information. They were obviously talking about me too when I came in. Omg you guys are so kewl.

So I told them what to do and one of them was like "Can't we just call tomorrow?"

Yeah sure do whatever you want I just thought it would be smarter to call now, and not at 6am when I guarantee you are going to be cranky and grumpy. Because I know you. I didn't let them know that I called already. One less thing for me to worry about in the morning.


This was my last night going to sleep in Disney. I was sad. I got to have one last magical wake up call tomorrow morning. That being said. Story time.

I called to set wake up calls for pretty much every day of the trip. That first night, I made sure to inform everyone that I wanted the person who's first visit to Disney was this trip, to answer the wake up call on Monday. I don't know if that happened. But later on in the week, I asked if everyone else got to answer a wake up call. They said yes. So I asked if I could answer the one for the following day (which would be Friday). They all said yes. That day, when the phone rang, I got to it after 1 ring, and picked up. It was half way through the message </3
I was SO UPSET. I wanted to hear the ENTIRE THING because I know Stitch was involved. When one of the other people came downstairs, she asked if I answered the wakeup call. Hmm that's ironic that the first thing out of your mouth was that. I said NO followed by an evil glare.
I told my mom once she woke up. She asked the other people who answered the wakeup calll. One of the other people said "Oh sometimes it picks itself up."

OH OK the phone just answered itself. HOOKAY.

It was clear to us that someone answered MY wakeup call on purpose.

Mickey’s Pantry is a dangerous place. I want to make over our kitchen with all things Disney. That’s how it’s going to be when we move to Florida one day.

Well Meg. $5 IS a lot of money, considering they already had to pay $20… Ridiculous.

The days of Christmas store is another dangerous place. Scratch that. DTD is VERY dangerous. There are just so many things I want to buy!

Anything mickey shaped tasted automatically better. That’s probably why your VERY DELICIOUS LOOKING ice cream did.

I wouldn’t be trusted with the stick to roast marshmallows. At all. I would probably be using it as a sword or to poke people with. I am such a five year old.

GREEN GRASS GROWS IS MY FAVORITE NEW SONG.

Seth and Jackie probably had no clue how to check their bags because they don’t read anything at all. And I don’t know how they made their 10 AM flight when they left.

I know how much you love Stitch. And I know he is on the wake up call. HOW RUDE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE.

The days of Christmas store is another dangerous place. Scratch that. DTD is VERY dangerous. There are just so many things I want to buy!

Anything mickey shaped tasted automatically better. That’s probably why your VERY DELICIOUS LOOKING ice cream did.

I wouldn’t be trusted with the stick to roast marshmallows. At all. I would probably be using it as a sword or to poke people with. I am such a five year old.

Seth and Jackie probably had no clue how to check their bags because they don’t read anything at all. And I don’t know how they made their 10 AM flight when they left.

I know how much you love Stitch. And I know he is on the wake up call. HOW RUDE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE.

I agree. ALL of Downtown Disney is very dangerous.

I mean, we did have to split $4.95 between 3 people for laundry detergent. How dare I think they could spend $5 on my mom.

Other people, I am taking all the work and reading and comprehending out of what you have to do to make it easier. Why do you have to be the way you are?

I had to ask my mom what happened when she questioned them because I forgot and she said that someone said the phone answered itself. And she said to me after "Yeah the phone answered itself, Mickey was in my room!!"

Departure Day​

It was departure day. The Worst day of any trip. The wake up call went off at 6:15. (SURE THE ONE DAY I DIDN'T WAKE UP EARLY.) I grabbed it in time though (after my mom was like "hurry up and answer if before someone else answers it"). I got dressed, finished packing last minute stuff. Ate breakfast.

Everyone else managed to successfully call and check their luggage as they all sat around the dinning room table. One of the other people HAD to complain about something that they all seemed to be annoyed about. The fact that there is no maid service.

There is. You have to pay. (well not anymore) And we know that you guys don't wanna pay for anything.

They did come in to take our the trash and change the towels.

AND HOW MANY TIMES do we have to tell you, this is NOT a hotel! It is a villa in a RESORT! It is like a house. If you people were to rent a house on the Jersey shore like your dumb idols from that stupid TV show on MTV, there is NO maid. There is no nothing.

This person said that she thinks the maid should just come in every day because it is easier for them at the end of the stay. I don't understand how that makes sense. They have to come in to prepare the room for the next family, regardless. Are you that lazy? Are you that dirty?

I left a nice note for house and Mousekeeping with our left over water and food. We took one last walk to the hospitality house. One of the other people complained about walking. Well you guys decided we would walk last night. Mom checked us out while we went and gave Magical Express our luggage. I went over to Good's and got another Mickey ice cream sandwich. I was not kidding. I also filled up my mug with that delicious pomegranate lemonade one last time. Then we went into Conch Flats. I bought an Old Key West mug with the cute new logo.

and a pair of sunglasses with hidden Mickey's all over them. And I am pretty sure I got one more thing that I can't remember.

Mom also bought me a DVC Member shirt. I really do miss the old logo though.

A lot.

"Oh you're buying a shirt?" What does it look like I'm doing?

We went back outside to wait for the Magical Express. It was chilly.

One of the other people's bags they bought. (OMG THEY PURCHASED SOMETHING?! Oh wait, it was on sale for like $15)

One of the CM's came over and told us the motor coach was running about 15 minutes late. The other people started complaining. Chill out, Disney makes sure we get to the airport early enough, geeeez...

We stopped at Saratoga Spring for a pickup. That is our family friend's home resort. Mom really wanted to check it out. But not with the other people. From the 4 minutes I saw of it, it is really pretty.

We unfortunately made it to MCO. We made our way to the food court and browsed in a few shops.

I had to stop in The Disney Store. Obviously.

We made it through security with no issues. We sat at our gate. I think our flight was delayed for high winds back home. Lovely. I don't remember waiting that long though. We boarded. I listened to Disney music.

In other news, there's the Brooklyn Bridge.

Those high winds resulted in our plane coming in for the landing in the opposite direction that usual at our airport. Creepy. We made it back on NY land safely and went and got our luggage. One of the other people had her mom wheel it for her right away. And then she threw a fit because omg her suitcase was dirty. Um, hello it was under a plane, what do you expect? Meanwhile the legs on mine were missing and that was my suitcase I use to get to and from school.

Our group split in 2 to get home. They said goodbye and thank you to me. Not to my mom...

We arrived home. Said our farewells to the other people who drove us home. All our mailed that we stopped for the week was there. Including my leopard printed iPhone cover.

That night I unpacked and then repacked for college. And started to edit my 2,200 photos.

Final Thoughts​

Thank you all for reading along on my journey with the other people who made this trip miserable. I hope you all enjoyed it, and I hope it wasn't so disorganized that it was diffucult to follow along. That is what is bound to happen when I write it a year later without journalling it.

Be on the lookout for my next Trip Report in January 2014! It will be nothing like this trip, I promise! I will be writing things down, actually taking pictures of my food. Will have more pictures of me. Videographing it as well. And my awesome 'Ohana is coming along with my little munchkin's first visit.

You cannot leave Disney without going into the MCO Disney Store. It has to be like an unwritten rule or something...
