I know you shouldn't use 2 TS at a Signature when on the DDP...but...

if you did, which one do you suggest?

The background details:
Just me and DH. Second time using DDP, first time used during a "free" offer. Fifth trip to the world in 4 years.

We arrive land at 6pm *3pm our local time* at MCO on Halloween.

nov 1 - Thursday is Les Chefs de France.
nov 2 - Friday is Teppen Edo.
nov 3 - Saturday is Yak & Yeti.
nov 4 - Leave for cruise! No time for dining plans this morning - sleeping til we gotta go to port. ;)

Originally we were going to try and do Ohana (we have a 9:15pm ADR) on arrival night. But after a full travel day, I assume we'd be much happier with DTD and Wolfgang Puck Cafe. That leaves us with 2 extra TS credits which could be used in place of on of our other meals.

That said, DH wants California Grill and I want Narcossee's. But I'm really open to any of them...No interest in Brown Derby (love that place!!) or Le Celliar as we want to try something new.

The actual question:
So if you went against everything you know, what sig would you spend the two TS on?

You may already know this and have a plan, but in case you don't, you only have 4 TS credits total as you are staying 4 nights and the plan is tied to the nights you stay, not days.

As to your question, from a pure values stand point, Narcosse gives you more options to get the full 2TS value. They have 4 entrees at a high enough price point to make it worth it. Cali Grill only has two (both steak).

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain it well. Our plan is to nix one of the 1TS restaurants and use it on a 2TS credit signature restaurant. :)

So for our 8 credits between us we'll do
2 at Les Chefs
2 at Teppen
4 at Signature

Thanks for the Narcossee's suggestion though. Good point about the higher priced entrees. Good argument in support of what I want!! :lmao:

I know that my DH was looking forward to Ahi Tuna Steak at California Grill (his favorite entree, and that is the only place they have it in all of WDW).

Why don't you do Cali Grill OOP? The tuna he wants is not one of the higher priced items to make the DDP value. The two of you could eat there for less than $100 and you both get what you want.

True, we could. Maybe we'll do that after the cruise. ;) We'll have two more days, but not on DDP.

The more I think about it, the more I love that we won't have an ADR on arrival night. Just seems much more relaxing to arrive and eat dinner after we check-in and settle into our room. So basically we have 8 TS credits to use between us for three days of eating. :) It's ok, these are the the "problems" I like to have!

The signature we put at the top of the list is Narcoossee and get the surf and turf or the whole lobster. You can most easily get your value there from the DP as well. We often stretch the DP options by sharing a meal and paying OOP for a salad or appy. We'll still have the full complement of meals and likely share at other times as well to have the same number of TS meals. But we eat this way when we're OOP as well.

Glad to hear that! I think we have finally finalized our dining plans:
Wednesday - Wolfgang Puck Cafe 0 TS
Thursday - Chefs de France 2 TS
Friday - Narcoseese's (snagged a 9pm ADR with 9:30 hallowishes fireworks!) 4 TS
Saturday - Brown Derby (DH going to get steak, I'm getting the cobb, YUM!) 2 TS + OOP

What we'd do in that situation is to use one credit at WP and one at Chef's thus getting one drink and dessert each location. Also, if you can move your ADR up for Narcoossee's to maybe 7:45 to 8:30, you'll likely be better off and still catch the fireworks but it'd be at the end or around dessert time.

Whoops, I think I messed up. Haha. We are going to Wolfgang Puck Express, not Cafe. I always get the name messed up - there are three or four of them in DTD, right? Anyway, we're going to use QS credits that night so we don't have to be concerned about an ADR on arrival night. :goodvibes Also, hoping to move up that Narcoosee's ADR since we'll be hungry. I'll be checking that every day.

Thanks again!

2 WPE, one cafe and one upstairs. The WPE on the DD side is the best I think, it certainly has more and better options. Keep checking, I bet you can move up your Narcoossee's time.
