I know you can help...I need to find a good theme/quote

I have been thinking and thinking, but I can't find a good theme.

I need a quote the fits the following situation:
A man loves his wife, wife leaves him. He cannot accept her leaving. Says she will be his wife forever. He kills her.

Of course there is much more, but i just need to find a little "catchy" quote.

Maybe something about being driven mad by love/jealously/rejection...

Or, if anyone can think of a song/movie/play/book that has this theme...that would be a big help too!

I don't think that a "catchy quote" would address a situation that heinous. Or maybe I am just sensitive because I have a friend whose mother was killed because she broke up with her boyfriend.......

OK I'm sure Shakespeare has something better, but I'm more familiar with Better Than Ezra
