Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are coming to Philly. My buddy knows Tim McGraw fairly well. I like Tim, and but not so crazy about Faith's music. My wife likes them both, but doesn't really love either one.

Think they put on a good enough show
to see if he can do me a favor and get my wife and I some good seats? I've done my buddy plenty of favors and have never really asked him for anything before. And, I don't even know if he "could" help us out.

We're happy to pay for the seats, but I think my wife might really enjoy it a lot if we can get fabulous seats.

Is your friend's relationship with Tim McGraw, personal or professional?

My Dad is often able to get us tickets to shows either through an artist or through a friend and he doesn't mind asking. Just like when his friends need tickets that he can get they ask him.

If your friend can get tickets from Tim there should be no money exchanged the artists set aside so may tickets for friends & family. We have seen George Strait, The Dixie Chicks, Cher, The George Strait Country Music Fest and a few others through connections without any cost.

I have seen Tim McGraw a few times and he puts on a great show..have never seen Faith Hill though...Since you said you dont even know if he would be able to help you, it is worth a try to ask...im sure its going to be a great concert! I was excited they were coming to Philly, but the tickets are pretty expensive---good luck!

If you think you are not putting your buddy on the spot, then I would say ASK FOR THEM. Tim and Faith are GREAT together, and then the do their own thing, an unbelievable show. My DH and I saw them about 6-7 years ago.

On of my best friends is the brother to Steve Smith, the drummer for Journey. If Journey ever has a reunion tour, I am not going to think twice about asking my friend to get me some ticket's and I am also going to ask for a backstage pass. Since if it ever happens, we would be hanging with my friend anyway, we might end up hanging out with the band after the show.

I would say they put on a pretty good show. I'd be hopping to go and I only like their music, not LOVE it. They've done the NYE shows here for a couple years and they've always been fun.

Can I go with you?????

I would ask , Knowing that I would be buying whatever seats my friend got
me. I did ask a favor of a friend once who were friends of "Spice Girls"
because my daughters wanted to see them. I paid for the tickets of
course but my idea of good seats and theirs were two different things.
So keep that in mind too ..............

They put on a great show. I saw them on their first Soul to Soul tour and they were entertainers, not just singers. Go I think you'll really enjoy it. I'm going to see them at the Garden on June 23rd. Can't wait! :goodvibes

No ME! I would so go in a heartbeat! I haven't seen Faith...but I've seen Tim and he is awesome in concert. Of course I love both of them so I might be biased.

Tim's good in concert (and I'm not even a country fan) -- Faith's boring in concert, though. She's like watching a series of her music videos -- it's pretty dull, IMO.

I have a friend who can help me with concert tickets here, she just puts me on the presale email list. I was just asking her if Tim and Faith coming here was a possiblity and she said they are still working on it. I got my fingers crossed because I'd LOVE to see them! :thumbsup2

Presale for Tim and Faith started today in Philly.

They are both supposedly great in concert so go for it! Good luck. :)

The artists all get a guest list, which varies in size--I've seen a little as six and as high as a couple hundred. (Sevendust had 95 on NYE at HoB according to their tour mgr.) Usually the seats are around the 5th row center, which is actually considered better than front row. If the floor is GA, then seats are usually the first few rows of the first section stage left. (Don't ask me why stage left, that's the way it just seems to always be)

Out of the allotment of comp tickets comes press tickets, label/mgmt/agent guests, sponsor guests (sometimes sponsors get their own allotment), and artists guests.

Depending on the area, the artist might have a lot of personal friends and/or family to honor requests from, and in NYC & LA the list for industry and media can eat up the entire allotment.

When I worked as touring crew years ago I can remember a few times where everyone in the crew and the artists were all limited to one guest each at some shows, and other shows were totally no guests--because the industry and media people had chewed up the entire list.

These days, if I'm attending a show as media I expect to get on the list--it's to their benefit so I can give them press--although I do not always expect to be able to bring a friend. Sometimes they offer, sometimes they don't for a "friend" ticket. If I'm just going for the sake of going, I'll always try to pick my shows. Let's say that Aerosmith is playing the Garden on Saturday night. Fahgeddaboudit--that's an impossible list. But let's say they are playing Hershey a week later--now that's a much easier list, and I'd try for that one instead.

Good luck whatever you decide--and I hear they put on a good show!

If I had a connection for Barry Manilow, I'd be ALL OVER IT. At least once. :)

That's one of the tightest lists in the industry. If I ever have the opportunity to photograph him I'll let you knonw and take "requests" LOL!
