Yes. Keep checking. We got a great rate one year at the homewood suites and it had free parking free breakfast free dinner and a full kitchen.

If you are willing to wait it out you can get an outstanding rate in a nearby condo or house. We stayed in a beautiful 4-bedroom pool home in Formosa Hills over Christmas week 2012 for $800 total including taxes and pool heat. I think we booked it in mid-November through VRBO. We also rented a 2-bedroom condo at Windsor Hills through Vacation Central Florida for Spring Break 2013 for $420 total for the week. We booked that less than a month before under their $299 special they regularly run. Windsor Hills also has it's own rental page that allows you to contact many owners at once.

When I was looking for a condo/house I kept different email folders labeled "no" and "maybe". I received a LOT of offers through the Windsor Hills site and VRBO that were less than $75 per night. I contacted owners who were asking more than I was willing to pay on their VRBO listing but the ended up offering me less.
