But... Is the FREE DINING for September all "booked"? I didnt think it would be possible to go again, since we are going in June. But the more I think about it, the more it sounds better and better!

Is it still possible to sign up for FREE dining? If so, what are the dates again?

And, another question.. my father is a DVC member so I may be possibly using his points for this visit. Can you do FREE dining if you are a DVC member?

You can still book it, just reservations at certain hotels are going to be impossible to get (ie. Value resorts).

ADRs are a little tight, but even currently, people have been getting pretty good seating times for all but the most popular (ie. CRT).

You must check in on or after August 24th, and no later than September 20. Free dining is only available with a full price room/tickets package, so it may not be used by DVC members staying on points. The only way to get it is by booking a room/tickets package and paying rack rate for the room.

However, DVC members can purchase the dining plan (or the deluxe dining plan) at its regular price. If your father is the member, he would need to add it to the reservation for you.

Whether or not you can get a free dining booking will probably depend on the resort you want. Many resorts are probably sold out of free dining packages. At this point it may prove difficult to get into a value or moderate resort with a free dining package. But people cancel; you can keep checking back.

Are all the value resorts all filled up? I'm already booked, but a friend is considering a trip, and she would only be able to afford it if she stayed at a value.

You have to go to Tickets & Reservations and select Special Offers. Then select the Free dining package and you should be able to book that way.

You have to check for availability through the "special offer" link on the website. For me, it is in the lower right hand corner. They only allocate a certain block of rooms within each resort - so even if you did find availability without going through this link it doesn't mean it's available with this special offer. If you did go through this link, then you shouldn't enter anything under the Dining Plan option unless you want to upgrade to the Deluxe. Definitely check it out - and good luck.

Just look online through the free dining offer. I just booked on Wednesday for September 10-17th at the All Star Sports with free dining no problem. You may be surprised. I've been hearing of people cancelling lately so you may also be able to sneak in that way. good luck!

We found the 4th thru the 9th at Music no problem. LOTS of resorts seemed to still be available.
