I know Disney is great with allergies but...

I have brought my girls to Disney World the last 2 years. Both have a peanut allergy and we have never had a problem! All restaurants are great!!

However this year we are hoping to eat at the Disney Springs Rainforest Cafe on arrival night (we have a Landry's card so won't need to make a reservation....seems easiest instead of flight delays). So....how should I expect Rainforest Cafe to be in regards to the allergy? Normally my husband and I go there without the kids locally...has anyone here had experienced going there with a nut allergy!??

Not with a nut allergy but we've had a good experience here with other food allergies. They had fewer options for my kids with more pre-prepped items than some other Disney restaurants but they handled it the same way as all the Disney restaurants we've been to.

Thank you!! Now I just need to remember to tell them we have allergies asap!! With all our others we have ADRs where I noted the allergies already!!

I would contact Landry/DS Rainforest Café and ask them directly how to handle. I had made ressie thru them directly not Disney and had it listed. no problems

Definitely be specific about the allergy - don't assume something is safe just because it isn't listed as being part of the dish as it could in fact be hidden in the preparation.

My friend and I ate at T-Rex (same company) a couple of years ago. She's allergic to mushrooms, but not really anaphylactic so she pretty much just asks if she's unsure about something. Well, her meal came with a side of green beans. She asked if they were plain and was told yes. BUT turned out they were cooked with mushrooms. She caught it before eating more than a bite (because they were cooked together it's not like she could just pick around the mushrooms) and we talked with our server and then the manager about it. She wasn't overly upset as she said "I should have been more specific" but the manager was clear that the server should have said how they were prepared. And he indicated that they could have made her plain green beans had they known/had the server said how they were prepared.

My oldest dd is anaphylactic to peanuts and eaten at Rainforest many times with no problems at all.
