I am a newbie, haven't been to Disney in 30 years and, I am extremely confused about the meal plans.

I know the 2008 dining plans aren't out yet and that they are subject to change, all I'm looking for right now is a basic idea of what's included and how it all works.

For example, the website says:
"Disney Premium Plan:

Dining
We make dining fun and enjoyable with a package that includes your breakfast, lunch and dinner per person, per night. Savor the experience without worrying about the price. Even your gratuities/service charges are included where applicable.

Choose from selected Walt Disney World® Resort Table-Service and Quick-Service restaurants including Signature Dining Experience restaurants, Disney Character dining, in-room Private Dining, and Disney dinner shows (category 1, 2, or 3, subject to availability).

Excludes alcoholic beverages; certain other limitations apply. Children ages 3-9 must choose from a children's menu if available."

So does that mean we could have breakfast at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, lunch at San Angel Inn in EPCOT and dinner at Big River Grill at the Boardwalk Inn?

Would be entitled to snacks during the day?

Any help or informaiton is appreciate because I'm totally confused about all this...

Thanks!

Yes you can have your meals at different restaurants. That being said I would never in a million years get the premium plan. On vacation we usually only eat two meals a day, plus a snack. We eat a huge breakfast do the parks all day and have dinner. I feel three sit down meals is WAYYY to much. The reg DDP with 1 table service, one counter service and one snack is plenty.

Yes you have to be 9 or younger to order from the childs menu.

It's worth mentioning (in case you didn't know) that the Premium Plan is different to the standard Disney Dining Plan which currently includes 1 Counter Service, 1 Table Service and 1 snack per day.

If you check out the 'sticky' thread on the Dining Plan sub-forum, all the details about the current standard DDP are there :)

The Premium Plan doesn't appear to include snacks. With three table service meals per day, PP Guests probably wouldn't want anything between meals anyway :teeth:

Thanks, heading there right now!
