I Knew We Raised Her Right!

DD17 left yesterday for her band trip to WDW. They are marching in MK tomorrow night and opening the Spectromagic Parade! She is BEYOND excited about that part of the trip!

When she left yesterday on the long bus ride, she was wearing WDW sweatpants with Mickey on them and a DISNEY logo tee shirt and carrying a "Best of Mickey" mini backpack as her purse. She packed nearly every piece of Disney clothing she owns (which is a LOT, I might add!). And NEVER, for a second did she even consider that it might not be so cool to be a Disney freak like her mom!

I am so proud of her for her band earning this trip and for her writing the flag show for the parade. I know the experience will be a lifelong cherished memory for her. And me! (Did I mention I am flying down for the weekend to see them perform?)

Both of my girls (23 & 25) are Disney freaks and have never had an issue with being embarrassed about it. It is nice to see they know what counts!!!

I hope your DD has a great time marching in MK.

I was just going to ask you if you are going. When our h.s. band goes down to march and play at the MK, we ask the last person to lock the doors and turn off the lights.

Thanks, everyone! I just have to get through 2.5 more hours of work and then I am out of here! Gotta love that $39 DING flight on SWA!!! And thank God for DVC, so it never feels like I have to budget for a hotel room. I am sooo blessed.
