We are going at the end of June since my daughter will be performing at the MK with her dance team. We also have a trip booked with Disney the following week which is when my UPH starts. My question is: How can I get into the park to see my daughter perform without paying over $100.00 for 2 - 1day/1park passes?
Can anyone help?

That sounds like a sticky one. You could try calling WDW Guest Services and explain your situation, maybe they'll help you out - but I wouldn't count on it. It sounds like one of those things that they'd say "If we do it for one person..." You get the picture. Good luck.:D

Do you know what kind of deal the dance team is getting? Could you maybe get tickets with them? DD has performed with her chorus three times at WDW and a fourth trip is coming next January they have always received special package deals and the parents that go have been able to get tickets with them. Just a thought!

Good luck!

Parents are not getting any sort of deal. Only the kids who are performing. That's why I was curious if parents of performers could get any sort of a deal through Disney. I suppose I could just call and ask...but who should I call?
Thanks

I would reconsider the UPH. I have found you can come out behind if you end up not in a park. Your post doesn't say how many days you are going the following week. I would consider a 7 day hopper ($301 from Paramount w/free character breakfast). Than you can use 1 day to see your DD and the rest the following week, plus any unused days are good forever.

Good luck

I think that InstImprs has a very good idea. Instead of getting your room with UMP, get the 7 day hopper plus package (if the water parks and PI are important to you) and that way, you can use one day to see your daughter and the others for your vacation. The hopper passes NEVER expire, so if you don't use them on one vacation, you can always use them later.

This is likely the easier answer to your problem... as I don't think that the park is likely to let you in at a discounted rate.

My memory may be playing tricks on me, but wasn't there a way you could get into the park free for one hour to shop? I think you had to give a CC imprint at Guest Services, then get back there inside an hour; if you didn't they would charge a one-day admission.

I'm not sure they still allow it, but maybe that might work, presuming her performance is scheduled at a specific time, and it is short?

Problem is I booked the FTP for 10 days, so park hopper tix are out (BTW, got a great price for the package). But I will check into your ideas of calling Guest Services and maybe finding out about a "shoppers pass". Thanks again.

From what I have read, the "shopper's passes" have not been available for several years. But, it's probably still worth it to contact Guest Services and see if there is anything they can do for you.

just wondering....Are you going with P.A.M.D.? I know that they are performing at the end of june, we'll be there at that time, & our daughters dance there as well (5 & 7) we'll be sure to see the older kids perform!

I don't know if it would be cheaper, but you could try comparing the cost of a similar room using 10 day AP discount and buying APs. If the cost is similar, then you could buy APs to use for the performance day, and use them during your 10 day trip as well. AP prices were just released.

No, we are going with TOC Dance Studio. My daughter will be performing on June 29 (she's in the teens group). How about yours?

Thanks for the help...but already figured that out...my package price is cheaper than AP discounted prices. I think Disney caught many people off guard when they introduced the FTP....

their group will be there on the 22nd. My girls are too young, but as a coincidence we will be there the same time...so we will cheer them on!
