I just want to say how happy I am that I bought DVC because

I have been reading the resort boards as usual and I just keep thinking...

"I don't care when AP rates come out or if they ever do"
"I don't care about the current codes"
"I don't care if POR is under rehab"

because I am staying at a deluxe hotel and my rate is always the same.
I am just so happy that I don't have to fret over the costs and if we should split our stay between mods/dlxs.
I will admit I might miss the other resorts in a couple of years but we have never stayed at the BW or WL....so that gives us 2 new resorts to try (BWV and WLV)
I am just so happy we finally did it !!!

p.s....remember to ask me how happy I am after our first trip home next month. I sure hope it all goes smoothly.

I am happy that I am a DVC member as well. It is so great to look at my little ones and know that they will have Disney magic for years and years!!!

Well, we've been members since 1997, and I'd say it is one of the best things we ever did!

We just returned from a week at the Caribbean Beach Resort. It was great. Got the spiel on DVC and like it very much. We don't know if there is a downside...(?)
Can you accum/bank points for more than 2 years? Say 3 or 4?

What to do? What to do? We have till Tuesday, 8/12!!!

You can bank one year's points and borrow year three's points to have in theory 3 years points in one year

Hey - I have been a member since 93 and I don't like them closing down either POR or POFQ - why - I just love the food courts!!!

Of course if worst comes to worst I could try the one a CBR - but I really love the hamburgers at POR.....

Most of the DVC members love their purchase!!! the ones that don't - do not post here - well I think there have been 2 or 3 that didn't like it.

If you are a Disney nut and would be happy going to WDW at least once a year - staying on WDW property - and like the condo vs hotel room - then DVC is it!!!

If you are happy off-site or in the All stars - maybe DVC is not the best choice for you.

I am so happy for many reasons but it is really nice to not have to worry about the hotel costs coming all at once. Yes I know we are paying for DVC but it just seems different.
I feel so proud to own part of Disney !!
