I just want bacon -- Not Kobe Bacon!

We used to do turkey as a alternative to reg bacon believing that it was the healthier choice but recent studies have shown that the amount of sodium used to make it taste similiar to real bacon subtract significantly from it health advantages.

As for the price of bacon going up..Sad but true We buy bacon at Costco tho and it is 4 lbs for 9.99 for regular bacon (good bacon tho!) and we get the Colemans all natural nitrate free bacon for 3lbs for 10.99. not great but not as terrible as thin store brand fall apart bacon for 3.99 a lb....grrrr

Oscar Meyer Bacon at my Costco went up. It used to be 4 lbs for 11.99 now it's 4 lbs for 15.99 Thats a LOT for bacon! I've been finding I do better at the grocery store when they have a good sale. Last time which was admitedly a couple months ago I think I paid about $3/lb

We love turkey bacon too. Taste the same & better for you. Much less fat. And always less money.

Not according to my DS. I tried to sneak turkey bacon past him once - he knew right away it wasn't the same.

Under no circumstances is that a true statement, turkey bacon has not and will not ever, ever, ever taste like real bacon.

To say so is close to blasphemy.

I hadn't noticed but I will sure be scouring the ads and trying to find a sale before the bacon shortage hits here !!!

I have a camping trip in two weeks...........What will we do without bacon!! LOL

I live in So. Cal and the best price I have found is at Smart and Final. I know they are only in California, Arizona and Nevada so it might help some.

For $1.99 a pound, the brand is called Big Boy Bacon and it is one of the best I have ever had. It is more of the thicker style of bacon too, which DF is very happy about.
