LEGO. I'm 40. God how sad is that? I couldn't resist. DS was buying a Star Wars set and I saw a Lego City Camper Van - complete with a couple, a bike that goes on the roof, a BBQ with a fish cooking on it, cooking utensils etc.

I never stopped loving Lego.

We were hoping to buy a motorhome this year - this will have to do for now.

I've never seen the camper legos! My son would have loved those when he was little. He was facinated by "drive campers" as he called them.

I think it's fun to play! I still love to color!

My favorite thing to do at Christmas for my extended family is to buy every adult a toy, preferably something that requires assembly. It's such fun to see Christmas be what it used to be when we little and had toys to play with.

Legos are one of my favorites for that, because after they have fun building whatever it is, they can pass on the pieces to their kids or to relatives' kids if they dont' want to keep it.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I like LEGOs as well. My brother and I used to play them all the time growing up. We would make little boats and when it rained a lot, float them down near the curb of the street where the water would run. We learned pretty quick that one of us would have to be near the end of the street, though, to catch it before it went down the sewer drains!

Personally I am eyeing that Carousel. I want it. Which is really silly for me as we have 4 kids and 2 dogs and it would be demolished as soon as I finished it.

i'm typing this sitting next to a lego pirate cove on one side, and lego space mountain on the other. my fiance collects vintage lego sets. we have a card table in our living room that is covered with a medieval kingdom/pirate cove and then on one of our end tables, there is some space stuff.

My son jut turned six and we went to the Lego store at DTD on our trip in July...What a store, my son's jaw hit the ground. He had never played with Legos before.
He had been saving his bday money and Christmas money, he spent all $100 in this store (and he only got 2 sets). He was soooo happy, but I never realized how expensive these were...holy cow!!!
I need to start garage saling for this stuff, maybe get a piece or two for Christmas. Who would have thought little pieces of plastic would cost soooo much?

I know. They're outrageously expensive. I agree 100%. The best thing is though that they use it again and again compared to more faddy toys that cost less. We have Lego going back years and it still gets taken out every few weeks. We're working on a storage system these days!!

LEGO is like Disney, you are never too old for it. DH and I have engineering backgrounds, and so we've always had LEGO around to build with. DH built a soccer stadium, and my two big projects were I made a LEGO display that looked like the column and arch part of the Muppet Show intro where all the characters come out, and I made a building that looks like the Jewelry Store on Disneyland's Main Street. We had to take them down when we moved, but we're in the process of buying a house that will have plenty of room for LEGO building.
